Similar to the press days the band has done already in the U.S. and Canada, we will be covering the press day in the U.K. today! - Ticketmaster U.K. Interview “I want to make sure that a fan that’s been with us for 17 years is just as entertained as a fan who has literally just discovered the band,” Shinoda enthuses. “The truth is when you’re watching our show we want to transition from song to song, and to have a meaningful connection on a personal level. A lot of our fans relate to our music in that way.” Promising the inclusion of five new songs on their forthcoming UK tour, Shinoda is adamant that older material will not be forgotten. “It’s a robust set,” he notes, “but not at the expense of old songs.” “It’s a very delicate balance in trying to figure out how to play Heavy and One Step Closer in the same set. We’ve had so many different eras, but the set it definitely not chronological. It’s about the emotional journey.” There’s also new production to look forward to, inspired by some suitably eclectic sources. “I remember seeing Nine Inch Nails on their Fragile tour and it was like an art project, where Trent Reznor was taking us through these weird abstractions of versions of the songs. I also saw a couple of live comedy shows and realised that there’s an idea of entertaining somebody at all costs.”: - NME Facebook Live Q&A - Ticketmaster UK Twitter Q&A Q: Are there a lot of Mike raps coming on OML? A: M: Good Goodbye is your song...I also sing lead vox on Invisible and Sorry For Now! Q: Could you make an unplugged Album? Love battle Symphony, but with real instruments it would be better. A: They are real instruments - they're not made of magic! BOOM Q: Why do you never add any Scotland shows to your UK tours? A: M: Our agent's name is Scott Thomas at X Ray touring. you can ask him! Q: What do you love to do besides making music? A: C: Um, i really like to be a dad, workout... those are the things i do. A: M: I snowboard, paint, draw, and play too much Summoners War on my phone Q: Any hints as to what songs you'll be playing from previous albums? A: M: all the awesome ones! A: C: come to the show, find out. Q: Why did you guys initially want to form a band? I just started a new band and the process is always difficult. A: C: I started making music because it's fun. It's fun and you're smart for doing it. Q: Would U tell us why the other band members didn't came along during your EU trip? I missed to see all the band members together.Thx A: M: The guys are coming out soon, we'll be performing at the Echo Awards in Germany. Q: Would you tell us how you met with Frank Maddocks who made those beautiful cover art of OML , thanks A: C: he's been in the art department forever and we worked with him on EVERY album. He rules. Unless you grabbed a screenshot they already took down the date for July 4th.

I say combine all sources and get the best information from that.

Rough translation: "Linkin Park spotted my Youtube channel and contacted me to make a collaboration. Everything was done in 48h and here is our version of their song Heavy! Do not hesitate to send thumbs up and share if you like!" The event took place at 118 (Warner Music France) the day of the Mike and Chester event. We have updated the show page to reflect the performance.

I think they are hitting the UK because the single is charting well there, and they obviously don't have enough time for a full leg in Germany right now or they would have already announced it. Probably one Germany arena show for now. The reason for knocking out the UK now is that they probably won't return to Europe until January 2018, like the MTM tour. It's starting to be structured like that with the fall having Asia (and maybe Australia) instead of a second European tour. They have to get to Asia/Australia since it's been so long and then they'll play 6+ Germany shows in January or whenever they go back to Europe. The demand is there easily for LP to play 25-30 shows across Europe but the band does not want to tour that long or they'll get exhausted from being on the road so long. Understood, after seeing how exhausting the MTM touring got for them and they even had breaks on that world tour.

This is so random after Digby said no UK shows. Maybe they added these shows when Heavy started doing well in the UK. It's at the very end of the tour tacked on, too. Usually they mix the headlining shows into the middle.
-
I don't see why they wouldn't add a second show in London. They even have a day off on the 4th with enough time for a real day off on the 5th. They always play two London shows. 65 euros is ridiculously cheap...here it's like $115+ in the pit. USA is very expensive for shows.

'Halfway Right' Cowritten by Ross Golan & Michael Leary

This is exactly what it is - a result of them thinking they need to go in a new direction. They wanted to go pop, so they went full pop here. They brought in songwriters to get a new sense of how to write songs. Am I a fan? Of course not. But that's the decision they made. -

So they played just Heavy and Burn It Down? -
Great news, UK fans! Linkin Park has announced that they will be returning to England in July. These are the first shows in England since November 2014, when LP headlined Manchester and London. "This July we are bringing the One More Light World Tour to London, Birmingham, and Manchester. Tickets go on sale April 7th @ 10am. LPU Members get priority access to tickets starting on Monday, April 3rd @ 10am (BST). If you pre-ordered One More Light on LinkinPark.com you will have access to a special pre-sale starting on Monday, April 3rd @ 3pm (BST)." The dates are as follows: 2017.07.03 London, ENG - O2 Arena 2017.07.06 Birmingham, ENG - Barclaycard Arena 2017.07.07 Manchester, ENG - Manchester Arena And sticking to tradition, the band will most likely add its second London show on July 4th. The announcement comes as 'Heavy' is charting well in the UK and comes just after Mike and Chester's event in London this morning. Presales can be found here. This will be the first Linkin Park show in Birmingham since 2010 for A Thousand Suns and will be the fifth run of England's arenas in their career, following 2003, 2008, 2010, and 2014. The One More Light European Tour is now at 16 shows and should be almost complete, with the exception of one gap on June 12th so it is likely that a show gets added there plus the second show in London. The 2017 tour dates can be viewed here. Who is going?

Good news, German fans - Warner Music Germany has announced that they will broadcast an event with Mike and Chester on April 3rd from Hamburg, Germany. Comment the things you've always wanted to know under this post and don't forget to sign up, so you won't miss a second." You can submit questions on their Facebook page. The venue has not been revealed yet, but it's possible Linkin Park will open up a few spots for fans to attend in a few days. EDIT: Linkin Park has announced the details of the event. "Members of Linkin Park will make a special appearance in Hamburg at the Mercedes me Store on Monday, April 3rd at 6pm (CEST). LPU members may sign up for a chance to win tickets to this event. I agree. This isn't a big deal really because they're switching between the interviewing and performing. He sounded fine on Corden. ECHO will be good. We can't judge anything on his voice until they are back in touring shape. South America is in May. -

Interesting, so there really are several copies. I guess Mike has the original items then. -

I agree. I don't dislike Mike on the piano by any means...I love BTH piano and PMA too. But the Summit performances on acoustic guitar were indeed more interesting than piano. That all just comes down to preference...not a big deal to me at the end of the day. I'm just glad they're doing more performances in general. Chester probably sounds off because he isn't properly warming up or something. I wouldn't say it's jetlag I mean he flies right from STP USA to do an LP show in Switzerland, or LP flies all over Europe for shows. -

Linkin Park has just announced, "Mike and Chester will be doing an intimate acoustic performance + Q&A at YouTube studios in London on Thursday, 30th March." Fans can enter for a chance to attend the event here. It will be held at YouTube Studios London. This is the next stop for Mike and Chester, who visited Toronto last week, Amsterdam last Friday, and Paris yesterday. Linkin Park (full band) performs at ECHO in Berlin on April 6th, so there is time for another event in Europe between the 30th of March and the 6th of April. With there being two days off between the dates so far, they can squeeze in one more somewhere before the ECHO show. Keep your eyes open! What's interesting is that Mike and Chester announced an Amsterdam headlining show when they were in Amsterdam....could the London appearance be to announce a show in England? We will see! Good luck to those who enter!
