  1. They forgot to put featuring Alvin the Chipmunk in the song.
  2. Battle Symphony had a music video too. My assumption was that these were early promo songs released for fans from the album. It would make zero sense to release a new single right now. Heavy is still climbing on the charts and is doing better than it has since it was released.
  3. I haven't seen anywhere that it's a single.
  4. For all music leaks in the world just search Twitter to find what you need, that's the easiest music leak way of listening (not necessarily downloading) songs.
  5. Stormzy's voice might be the only thing more annoying than Kendrick Lamar's voice.
  6. Pretty funny live-based questions in this...maybe they used LPLive for some of it, ha. Shows mentioned are Toronto 2008 (Chester answered correctly with Pushing Me Away and the host said incorrect.....), iTunes Festival 2011, Hamburg 2001, and an unknown show on Ozzfest where Chester dressed up as Captain Birthday. Statistics included 3 states the band had never played. Somehow Joe wins.
  7. Where's that second London date....
  8. Yesterday on his Instagram story, Chester posted clips from inside a studio recording music.... view them here and here. In the clip we see Lamb Of God guitarist Mark Morton and producer Josh Wilbur, who has worked with Lamb Of God for a long time. Back in 2016, Mark released a new song and posted on Facebook, “Hey y’all! Here is sample of some of the new music I’ve been working on. It’s definitely a little different than what you’re used to hearing me do with Lamb. There are some great players involved in this project (including J.P. from Clutch on the drums!). I’m having a blast working on this stuff, and that’s what this is all about for me…FUN! I hope you enjoy it!" We also see a full lyric sheet, but he pans his phone across it too fast to read the lyrics on the big sheet. Here's the smaller sheet: Looks like something along the lines of: "mastered the art..perfect precision..you take it apart..pull every petal..just to see where it lands..tighten my grip..carve the thorn from my hand" We don't know what the song is for exactly, but we'll keep you updated once we find out.
  9. Surely the gap isn't a full year between Euro Tours. I agree, arena tour coming up. And probably summer festivals (RAR etc) again.
  10. Check out how John Mayer does his setlists this tour. 5 songs full band 3 songs acoustic 3 songs john mayer trio (3 band members) (usually 2 of these are covers) 5 songs full band encore of 2 songs sometimes double encore with 1 song Doesn't play the same singles each show. Changes openers, closers, entire song placement. Picks like 60% of the singles to play each show. Genius.
  11. faggots wanna talk to popos niggas hating the shit because i slayed ya bitch lol don't know how to carry your hoes, wanna marry your hoe just happened to be a pimp, what a tragedy
  12. We don't do this very often, but we are going to slowly feature it a bit more on the site to change up the content. We wanted to give everyone a fan's perspective into shows going on and we thought the recent Kings Of Chaos show would be a good one. As you may know, Chester flew from Berlin's ECHO performance right to LA to rehearse with Kings Of Chaos the next day. The day after that on April 8th, he played the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. It was his ninth appearance with Kings Of Chaos since December. For those asking if KOC will continue performing this year... we hope so! Matt Sorum said in December that he wanted to keep it going in 2017, so we will see. It shouldn't be an issue for Chester to perform a show here and there every now and then, since Linkin Park doesn't tour much. This review is written by "Westenn" from the Stone Temple Pilots fansite Below Empty. Take it away. "This is my personal review of Kings of Chaos show at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach on April 08, 2017. It called for rain that day, about 40% chance but the thunderous sounds of rock kept the clouds away that evening. I was lucky to have arrived just as the band were to perform sound check. I felt even luckier that I got to sing alongside them. I grew up with ZZ Top and Billy Idol and to sing with some of my heroes was not only sheer pleasure but also an honor. I was gleaming when Billy Idol thanked me for singing along (Im sure he was thanking others but it seemed he looked at me so I will take it). After that sound check teaser, I was planted in my position for a couple of hours. The show was to begin at 6:00 but there was a delay and the show started around 6:30. There was a rotation of the singers, Chester Bennington, Billy Gibbons and Billy Idol throughout the evening. Chester came first with Sex Type Thing and Fire Woman, by Stone Temple Pilots and The Cult respectively. I followed both bands forever and enjoyed singing along with Chester, even if I couldnt remember all the words, I love those songs. Billy Gibbons strutted in to sing Sharp Dressed Man, Foxy Lady (Jimi Hendrix), and La Grange. I love La Grange, to hear it live just reminds me why its one of my all-time favorites from ZZ Top. Billy Idol needs no introduction. Knowing once he hits the stage, youre in for a ride. He sang his staple crowd favorites, White Wedding, Shakin All Over (I think its a cover Johnny Kidd & the Pirates), and Dancing with Myself. I never had a chance to see him and Im glad I finally did. He was one of my favorite singers in my youth. They called Chester back to perform STPs staple Interstate Love Song, The Cults She Sells Sanctuary. The highlight song of the evening for me was the performance of Led Zeppelins Whole Lotta Love. Led Zeppelin and that song was the reason why I wanted to live and breathe in Rock and Roll. That was the stand-out performance musically for the band consisting of Matt Sorum, Dean DeLeo, Robert DeLeo and Billy Duffy and why when you have Rock and Roll, peace and love go along with it. The energy was riveting. I sang my heart out and for one pocket moment Chester stood in front of me and how we both hit that one note with that chime you hear when you are in harmony; is the way life should be. It was so beautiful to watch those guys play their heart and soul out on that stage. You had to be there and witness it through my eyes, the pure love of music. Chester followed up with Billy Gibbons to perform a couple of songs together, Waitin for the Bus, Jesus Just Left Chicago and Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers. I love the song Tush and am very glad they played that song. I loved watching Billy Gibbons play guitar. Hes so cool in my Rock Book. Billy Idol closed the evening with The Doors La Woman and Rebel Yell. For that moment of time, Kings of Chaos made you forget all the problems of the World. The unity and soul love outpouring not only from the band but also from the audience proves time and time again how Rock Music should be in everyones life. Sadly, the night had to end. There were no encores but as I headed back on the train to LA, you can hear the random crowds singing Rebel Yell and the reason why Rock will never die. Peace, Love and Rock n Roll."
  13. http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=11877 "Mike would love to play ‘Keys To The Kingdom’ and ‘Mark The Graves’, but he doesn’t think it’ll happen this tour. He’s interested in playing them on the next tour, though." "- Dropping THP songs: 'Rebellion' dropped for China, 'Guilty All The Same' because Rob had shoulder problems playing it and Brad hurt his wrist playing it."
  14. The whole Stormzy verse, at best, has really awful lyrics. We will see how the song sounds. Not a lot of faith since the music came last in the process and the lyrics were worked on for a majority of the sessions. If this proves anything (Heavy, Battle Symphony, and these lyrics), it's that the band should go back to their old songwriting form. Failed experiment. But that's also a small sample set and I have yet to hear the full album as a whole. If you gave me Lies Greed Misery, Until It Breaks, and Skin To Bone I'd say the band had lost their collective minds and should try a new songwriting process - LOL.
  15. ALITS has the same sync problem, look at Rock N Heim 2015 and a good bit of others. But it's a great track. Rob legit hurt himself on GATS, though.
  16. Yeah no doubt. But the chorus, what in the world. And they spent 10+ months on lyrics lol
  17. Linkin Park has just released the lyrics for the next song from One More Light to be released - Good Goodbye. Like Heavy and Battle Symphony, the song's lyrics debuted on Genius.com. We do not know yet if this will be another promotional song or if it will be the second single from the album. Heavy is still charting well, so we assume the former. 'Good Goodbye' has been a track lots of us have been anticipating for awhile, ever since the news broke that it features Pusha T and Stormzy. There's also a lot of Mike rapping on the track, making it one of the few tracks on One More Light that will feature rapping. Mike also claimed that it's a song that doesn't sound like the rest of the record, and that it has a sarcastic tone to it. The band has filmed a music video for the track already (which was shot awhile ago, apparently, as they flew Stormzy out to L.A. to film it) that has a less serious tone to it. Everything about this track seems to be a big change of pace. This isn't Pusha T's first rodeo with Linkin Park. He provided a verse on the 'I'll Be Gone' Vice Remix on RECHARGED. The question now is when will the track be released. Well, looking at previous figures, we can assume that it'll be out within three or four days. Both the lyrics for 'Heavy' and 'Battle Symphony' were posted on Genius three days before the songs were released. We're looking at Thursday or Friday for 'Good Goodbye' from the looks of it. Perhaps the song is released in conjunction with the music video, since the latter has already had time for preparation. “I’m a basketball fan,“ Shinoda tells Genius. "When I was writing this song, I wanted to capture that moment at the game when someone fouls out, and the cheerleaders sing and kick out the ejected player.” Lead vocalist Chester Bennington explains that the group wanted “Good Goodbye” to apply to both “someone getting kicked out of a game, and someone getting out of a bad relationship.” Lyrics: [Chorus: Chester Bennington] So say goodbye and hit the road Pack it up and disappear You better have some place to go 'Cause you can't come back around here Good goodbye (Don't you come back no more) [Verse 1: Mike Shinoda] Live from the rhythm, it's Something wild, venomous Enemies trying to read me You're all looking highly illiterate Blindly forgetting if I'm in the mix You won't find an equivalent I've been here killing it Longer than you've been alive, you idiot And it makes you so mad Somebody else could be stepping in front of you And it makes you so mad that you're not the only one There's more than one of you And you can't understand the fact That it's over and done, hope you had fun You've got a lot to discuss on the bus Headed back where you're from [Chorus: Chester Bennington] So say goodbye and hit the road Pack it up and disappear You better have some place to go 'Cause you can't come back around here Good goodbye (Don't you come back no more) [Verse 2: Pusha T] Goodbye, good riddance A period is after every sentence Did my time with my cellmate Maxed out so now we finished Every day was like a hail date Every night was like a hailstorm Took her back to my tinted windows Showin' out, she in rare form Wings up, now I'm airborne King Push, they got a chair for him Make way for the new queen The old lineup, where they cheer for 'em Consequence when you ain't there for him Were you there for him? Did you care for him? You were dead wrong [Chorus: Chester Bennington] So say goodbye and hit the road Pack it up and disappear You better have some place to go 'Cause you can't come back around here Good goodbye (Don't you come back no more) [Verse 3: Stormzy] Let me say goodbye to my demons Let me say goodbye to my past life Let me say goodbye to the darkness Tell 'em that I'd rather be here in the starlight Tell 'em that I'd rather be here where they love me Tell 'em that I'm yours this is our life And I still keep raising the bar like Never seen a young black brother in the chart twice Goodbye to the stereotypes You can't tell my kings we can't Mandem we're linking tings in parks Now I gotta tune with Linkin Park Like goodbye to my old hoe’s Goodbye to the cold roads I can't die for my postcode Young little Mike from the Gold Coast And now I'm inside with my bro bro's Gang [Chorus: Chester Bennington] So say goodbye and hit the road Pack it up and disappear You better have some place to go 'Cause you can't come back around here Good goodbye (Don't you come back no more) What do you think of the lyrics? Excited for the new song? Let us know your first reactions to them. Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook so that you don't miss the song debut. You can read more about the song on its Linkinpedia page!
  18. I like that a lot. Fixes the obnoxious Bleed It Out problem of closing for almost a decade straight. They aren't going to play Mark The Graves BUT Mike did indeed say "we might play more THP songs next touring cycle", like what they did with Robot Boy I guess. I guess it's possible.
  19. https://www.facebook.com/lplive/posts/10155144679218267 There's a clip of Whole Lotta Love. If anyone sees more videos, feel free to post them. Also looking for what was played at the soundcheck. Full setlist, etc is on the show page: http://lplive.net/shows/db/kingsofchaos/20170408
  20. Setlist: 01. Sex Type Thing (STP) 02. Fire Woman (The Cult) 03. Sharp Dressed Man (ZZ Top) 04. Foxy Lady (Jimi Hendrix) 05. La Grange (ZZ Top) 06. White Wedding 07. (? Unknown Billy Idol song) 08. Dancing With Myself (Billy Idol) 09. Interstate Love Song (STP) 10. She Sells Sanctuary (The Cult) 11. Whole Lotta Love (Led Zeppelin) 12. Waitin' For The Bus (ZZ Top) 13. Jesus Just Left Chicago (ZZ Top) 14. Beer Drinkers And Hell Raisers (ZZ Top) 15. Tush (ZZ Top) 16. L.A. Woman (The Doors) 17. Rebel Yell (Billy Idol) I think that's the first time they covered L.A. Woman? Chester loves The Doors. If you were there early, you could watch the soundcheck. Looks like a great show.
  21. That's the only song released post ATS (referring to Catalyst) that could be a good show closer IMO. Lost In The Echo could work if they wanted it to. ALITS is a pretty epic song....the perfect replacement for Bleed It Out closing IMO.
  22. Usually that happens with the one song we all like (which I'm not even saying has to be a part of the setlists this cycle if they don't WANT to play it)...one time it was The Messenger. But yeah this video pretty much proves your sentence true...
  23. Same. Kiiara has a great voice.
  24. With Linkin Park's world tour kickoff in Buenos Aires, Argentina rapidly approaching in less than one month, we decided to get our staff together to come up with some ideas for the band's new setlist(s) on tour. The band has not toured at all since 2015, taking all of 2016 off to focus on writing the new album. It was the first year off with zero shows in the band's career. Stylistically, the setlists changed quite a bit on the world tour for The Hunting Party. While Linkin Park went with three (sometimes two) rotating setlists from 2007 to 2013, the infamous Tucson 2014 show rolled with a new, 27-slot setlist that was in the form of a DJ set in several ways. For the world tour, setlists featured solo spots for Mike and Joe as well as shortened versions of quite a few songs. Moving forward, here are some ideas we think that would work for the band's live show as well as the fan experience at the shows. The band on average performs 100 to 105 minutes at concerts these days, the longest of their career. - Return to distinct, rotating setlists. These were a big hit amongst fans in 2007 when they debuted and remained so for over seven years because Linkin Park managed to consistently keep them exclusive and unique - each set contained several songs not in the other two. When this changed in 2014/2015, fans lost the incentive to see several shows on the same tour. Yes, there were two sets used in the later part of 2014 and two planned for 2015's arena tour, but the variety was lacking from years past (same openers and closers, same general set structure with 1-2 song changes). With the catalogue bigger than ever before, now is a chance to really shine with three unique setlists. Yes, it takes a lot of rehearsing but we've seen the band hit home runs (grand slams, even) on setlists in years past. LP is a very creative band when it comes to intros/outros to songs and can consistently put together great, unique setlists. - Piano versions / stripped down forms of older songs. We saw with Mike and Chester's promo tour recently that they are capable of stripping down older songs in the catalogue. Burn It Down, Crawling, and What I've Done sounded quite nice in a piano form. With the quieter feel of One More Light (album), maybe a stripped down song or two would fit in nicely into a setlist. Or there is a good bit of quieter material already released, like Burning In The Skies. There's also the option to play a lot of rarer or perhaps even never before performed tracks like 'Powerless' and 'Roads Untraveled' in this slot, as putting together a piano version would be considerably easier than putting an entire song together - we know how much work that is. - Rotate songs thematically or by album. This is more or less a combination of the previous ideas. The selection of songs is huge now with seven studio records. Rotating setlists with unique songs is a great idea to help diversify the shows and keep fans coming, but with a limited amount of songs that can be played in every set, it might be hard to choose which ones to play. Perhaps try rotating songs through some sort of theme. The band experimented with this in a cool fashion in 2010, where they started rotating heavy songs (Lying From You and Papercut) and softer songs (The Messenger and Leave Out All The Rest) after reading a thread on our site about setlist diversity. Perhaps try grouping some songs up; in one set, play Leave Out All The Rest, and in another play Shadow Of The Day in the same slot. This can be even easier with piano versions - a bunch of songs rehearsed in this form can be traded out every show to make it a sort of "surprise" for fans to hunt down and go to shows in hopes of seeing. There's many possibilities! - Don't rely on 99% singles. We know fans will erupt if In The End or Numb is dropped from the set. And we're not saying "play High Voltage and By Myself!" Plus, we have Fort Minor shows to handle the deeper hip hop cuts for us now - greatly appreciated. But there are non-single songs in the discography that are loved by a lot of fans, such as No More Sorrow (maybe swapping it for Given Up for a change). Or Wretches & Kings and Lost In The Echo. Lastly, we know Guilty All The Same probably can't be performed any longer, but there was something special about A Line In The Sand in 2015. Debuted late in the touring cycle, it was only performed in North America a few times + a short European Tour. Solid live song. - 75% of the setlist doesn't have to be/need to be "Hybrid Theory" and "Meteora" songs. This is the largest selection of songs the band has ever had in their career. There are great, under-appreciated tracks and double the material available on "Minutes To Midnight", "A Thousand Suns", "Living Things", and "The Hunting Party". In this setlist from the first show of 2015, there is a heavy reliance on the first two albums. Don't feel pressured to keep performing those songs over and over if you don't want to (the same goes for certain singles if you're tired of them). There are songs like When They Come For Me that were fantastic live as well as songs that we scratch our head as to why they weren't performed live...like Powerless. - This is the 10 year anniversary of "Minutes to Midnight". No, the full album doesn't need to be performed live like Hybrid Theory was. Besides, One More Light is being released soon. But maybe dismantling the medley of Leave Out All The Rest/Shadow Of The Day/Iridescent to perform Leave Out All The Rest in full again, or adding No More Sorrow or if you want to dig deep - even The Little Things Give You Away would be a nice celebration of the album. If there are 22 slots for songs, rotating a rarer cut that the band feels comfortable playing into one of those would be welcoming. Again, the band has traditionally excelled with writing setlists. We're just saying they don't have to feel constricted by basing their live show on so much material from (1) singles, and (2) Hybrid Theory and Meteora songs. Rotating setlists are fantastic and encourage fans to travel all over to see the shows. What about you? What would you like to see the band do live? We are looking forward to the world tour and covering it for everyone. Announced tour dates for 2017 can be viewed here. Tours in Asia and North America will be announced within the next four to six weeks - stay tuned.
