Not sure about the festival dates yet.

Apparently a proshot version of QWERTY from Summer Sonic 2006 was shown on TV in Japan a few days ago. This site here says it was shown on their "International Clips" segment of whatever show that is. The station "The Asahi" (I guess that's the name) from Japan broadcasted a special on the last 10 years of the Summer Sonic Festival. They showed some live songs of some bands and had the fans vote for the best videos. Linkin Park came in at #7, with the QWERTY live video. This is basically what I am able to understand from Felipe, who's been researching the video for the past few days. Apparently Warner Music Japan posted something about it as well. I can't read Japanese so I'm pretty clueless on this except for the fact that a proshot version of QWERTY live was shown on TV, and that we need to get it. LINKIN PARK / QWERTY -SUMMER SONIC 06 LIVE Ver.- If anyone has any information on how to get the song or can lead us in the right path, we'd greatly appreciate it. I'm sure quite a lot of you would like to see this video (especially after that awesome 6 second LPTV clip of QWERTY live) just like I would. Thanks!

HELL yeah Dead By Sunrise opening for LP!!! Edit: Since the festivals book the bands and not the other way around, I bet DBS will play just the LP headlining dates and VERY few or NO festival shows (aka: Knebworth, etc). Meaning the first DBS show is likely to be Athens instead of Istanbul.

Sounds great to me. Hopefully locals know what a good bar is near the venue or something. We could all grab some food.

Yeah we go through this every time we post a chat transcript. I honestly can't tell you if it's allowed or not... maybe someone should ask Adam, lol. All I know is I've seen them on the LPMB - no I have no idea who posted them there - so I thought it'd be alright to post them here. Hmmmmmm.

Knebworth is a bit expensive or else I think I'd go to it. I based my touring plans around Germany, which I've always wanted to see LP in since Germany has the absolute hands-down best fans for the band versus any other country. Since Zurich is close to Germany and Knebworth is far, things didn't fall into place for me to make it to Knebworth, lol. Maybe Julien-K will get added so they can do a 6-7 song set opening for LP and then Chaz can do like 5 Dead By Sunrise songs....

According to the Coheed and Cambria MySpace page here, they will be opening for a few Linkin Park shows this summer. Quoting their latest blog post: "We posted 2 dates in Stuttgart and Gräfenhainichen - check out our dates on our page Linkin Park Coheed And Cambria Funeral For A Friend" Coheed And Cambria will also be playing the Sonisphere Festival in Knebworth, England on August 1st with Linkin Park, so I guess they would be a support act for LP as well at that show. LPPanther said Scratch N Sniff airs it often. Both of us heard it on there last fall...it was with a few dubs (not as many as the rip we have now). He says he's heard it without overdubs at all. We need to email them and ask them to keep re-airing it since they have it.

According to Chester's Twitter, the Club Tattoo in Las Vegas will host Dead By Sunrise on July 4. It's not confirmed whether this is the official Club Tattoo Anniversary Party yet, but we'll hopefully be able to get more information soon. According to this website here, Linkin Park will be playing two more shows than we initially thought this summer. The dates are listed below. It looks like the band is trying to make up for the canceled shows last fall. Four out of five cities have "rescheduled" (if you want to call it that) dates as of now, if this turns out to be real. Ah yeah I forgot about that. Does anyone (Ravok) have the full version that aired on the radio with the promo snippets still in it? I'd like to put it up for DL if anyone has it. Damn I forgot about the paintball game, we were so excited for it. That's the last thing I remember about the track actually. I forgot about it and had no idea until now that it got cut - wow. And 2001? Daaaaaang that's even earlier than I thought. It's got the signature "early LP" Chester voice on it and sounds great. I have some doubts about it ever coming out...I'd say it's maybe a 20% chance.

Remember when Chester and DJ Lethal got together and recorded a track together in 2002? It was called State Of The Art. Everyone was hyped for it, but we were never able to get a full rip of the track. The radio program Scratch N Sniff played the song with a bunch of "Scratch N Sniff" promo samples put all throughout it, but the recording spread around the net. A fan removed the samples, edited it all back together, and that's what has been circulating ever since. I think the DJ hosts did some LPAssociation shoutouts when they played the song as well. So if they made the track in 2002, what the hell happened to it? Well, DJ Lethal was going to do a solo record but the release date kept getting pushed further and further back, presumably because of label problems. DJ Lethal's MySpace page here has literally said, "LETHALDOSE RECORDS LAUNCHING WITH KOCH DISTRIBUTION !!!!!!!! DJ LETHAL SOLO RECORD COMING SOON!!!!" since at least 2005, if not before that. So what's up with "Lethaldose Records"? Does anyone know? Limp Bizkit is back together and touring, so will Lethal ever release that album? Is this a track we are never going to get? What does everyone think? All attempts to contact Lethal over the past 5 years have been 100% unsuccessful and noone has ever gotten a response from him regarding the song. Does anyone have any ideas for an LPLive *contest*? We have some cool stuff to give away and since LPL is "for the fans, by the fans" I was going to see if anyone had any cool suggestions for a contest we could have. I almost did some sort of Julien-K artwork contest but that never worked out. I'd like to do something interactive with you guys but there's not a great contest idea I can pinpoint my finger on. Any thoughts?
