  1. If LP ever plays in New Orleans LOL. I know I'd go. Last time was 2003.
  2. Play all of ATS. Then take a 5 min break. Then do some singles. WID w/ ambo, NMS w/ extenders, POA, Crawling w/Reani, ITE, BIO, Faint, APFMH. Take another break (encore), do New Divide, an LPU fan selected song, and OSC.
  3. Yes I sure do. I see it being in the first setlist in South America. And if not, maybe Asia/Australia. LP hasn't played that song down under in a LONG TIME. They might do Not Alone in South America? Idk.
  4. P5hng Me A*wy is the one I'll vote for. If you can pick more than 1 I'll pick Across The Line, Carousel, etc. I'd like shit never played. STICK N MOVE lol. I hope the band really limits what you can vote for. Make options and don't let a single be on there at all lol. If they do it with unlimited options, the top 10 will be like: Numb, Faint, ITE, Crawling, SIB, SOTD, WID, BIO, LOATR, OSC. I'll blow the fuck up. Let's hope Mike makes it and only lets us choose from like 15 songs. I'll drop a vote for With You maybe but I'd love to see P5hng.
  5. I can record the webcast. Need a time though. I am available on Tuesday.
  6. LOL @ how much Ana's stuff is bothering Mike
  7. No Projekt Rev outside = fail
  8. I listened to MTM and loved it silly, I still have the txt file I typed up when I heard it. Loved the CD except Bleed It Out/No More Sorrow (LOL). Felt misleaded on the style, sure, but I thought it was an excellent CD.
  9. Where the hell did Brad go on this CD? MTM was missing Joe; they got him back for this one and lost Brad. The Requiem / The Radiance 9/10 Burning In The Skies 6/10 When They Come For Me 4/10 Robot Boy 1/10 Jornada Del Muerto 5/10 Waiting For The End 10/10 Blackout 6/10 Wretches And Kings 6/10 Iridescent 6.5/10 Fallout 8/10 The Catalyst 5/10 The Messenger 1/10 Overall summary: What the fuck was that? Weirdest CD I have ever heard. Waiting For The End is amazing. Blackout is alright.. after the Chester it gets pretty good.
  10. @ no Killing Fields, Forever and Nvr Say Nvr. Throw 'em in (with an encore)
  11. Yeah I thought only a few would enter but that's the good thing - only a few to pick from, haha. Great entries so far! Only expecting like 10 to enter. Enter man! You're not current staff, give it a shot. If you can go for sure then enter.
  12. I have no way of knowing you're "supposedly" that age PS - 18+ is to cover our ass in the area of USA law. Sorry about that.
  13. That's right LPLive, we are giving you an opportunity to win a ticket to the September 14 "A Thousand Suns" release party show in New York City! The only people that had access to win tickets to this show were LPUnderground members, those who preordered LPUX, and those who preordered "A Thousand Suns" on linkinpark.com. Now, LPLive is giving YOU, one lucky LPL member, a chance to go to the show completely FREE. See below for rules and regulations for this contest: RULES / INFO - This is a contest for ONE ticket to the 9/14 show for FREE. This does NOT include transportation to the show, so you better have your ride/transportation already sorted out! - You have to be 18 or older. (Sorry, minors. Not our fault!) - This contest is only open to US and Canadian citizens. International people, we have another contest coming for you soon. - You need to be willing to meet me (Mark) in person on 9/14 at the Nokia Theatre. Here's how this will work: I will get in touch with you the day of the show in New York City and we'll meet up AT the venue. Once I give you the ticket, you need to go right into the show with me. This is to prevent the winner from grabbing the ticket and reselling it at the last minute (shit happens, I know it does, so I'm trying to prevent it). I trust 99.9% of you, but I'd like for the person to at least enter the show right before or after me so that the ticket isn't resold. I bought this with my own $ and want to give it to an LPL member. - With that said, you have to be a CURRENT LPLive.net forum member to apply. For this contest, registration is disabled. Why? This is for one lucky LPLive winner...I don't want the site to be flooded with people that have only visited the site once before or something and have one of them win. I want this to go to a solid LP fan that's a member of the site. - You can't already have a ticket to the show (duh, lol). This is available only for people that DON'T have a ticket. - LPLive Staff is NOT allowed to enter this contest. Please only enter if you are 110% SURE you are able to attend. Do NOT enter the contest if you do NOT have transportation to the show. We will pick several alternate winners as backups in case you are not able to attend at the last minute for some reason. So to enter, you simply need to reply to this post by September 8 (one week from now) with: -Username -Age -Location (State; City too if you want) -A paragraph or two explaining why you think YOU should win the contest. LPLive staff will get together on the 8th, collectively pick a winner and contact them accordingly. Good luck!

  15. I bet they play more than one song overall. And I bet MTV shows the full version of "The Catalyst". And I bet LPL members will get to go.
  16. yeah I wanted the first performance of it to be in NYC I hope they at least debut a song or 2 there that they don't play at KROQ breakfast.
  17. jesus christ that is a nasty beat. guitar. can't wait for the CD to leak.
  18. That's my nerd side, lol. I like to fill the preshow posts up with stuff like that. No word on KROQ but I'll ask around and see what I can find. Live guide has to have all the info eventually, so I'm sure around the time of the performance we'll get what we need. I hope it's webcasted.
  19. The first 2010 performance for Linkin Park will take place Sunday, September 12th at the MTV Music Video Awards in Los Angeles, CA, where they will be playing their lead single off the new album "A Thousand Suns" entitled "The Catalyst". The Linkin Park Facebook page states "We're performing "The Catalyst" live on TV for the first time ever at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, September 12. The show airs that day at 9:00PM." Chester commented on the performance, saying: "After two years of working on our new album, we're looking forward to sharing our first live performance of new music with our fans around the world on the MTV Awards," Chester Bennington said in a statement about the show. " MTV.com adds: "The 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on September 12 at 9 p.m. ET. Go to VMA.MTV.com (or text VMA to 97979 if they are Verizon subscribers) to vote for the Best New Artist video through September 12." Source here. This is the first concert of any type for the band since the Epicenter Festival in Pomona, CA last year on August 22nd, over ONE YEAR ago (show page here). It's important to note that this is the longest break the band has ever taken from performing live: 386 days. This is the first performance of the "A Thousand Suns" touring cycle and the first time they have played for a live TV show since they played the VMA's in 2007, playing 'Bleed It Out' with Timbaland (show page here). The rest of the Linkin Park 2010 tour dates can be found here. Two days later, the band will head to New York City, NY to play the Nokia Theatre to play their first full show of the touring cycle. It would also be the first time they've played a venue with the same name in two consecutive cities on tour in the band's history except for the fact that the NYC venue was renamed to the Best Buy Theater recently. Interesting enough?
  20. From my friend Jen that went: "They wouldn't let us keep our papers so I'll attempt to give a blow by blow account of the songs. What I do remember, couple of bad ass songs. There are 15 tracks, 4 were interludes. Kinda pointless some of them. For the most part, you have to listen to it in its entirety to get the meaning otherwise it just seems out of context. Especially the interludes. own bits. I took this from Evan for the track list. 1. The Requiem - Hilarious when we heard it was Mike actually singing. Who hit him in the nuts to get him to sing like a choir boy 2. The Radiance - Interlude, sucked. My exact quote was WTF? 3. Burning In The Skies - This song has deep lyrics that are repeated in Fallout 4. Empty Spaces - Very wartime sounding. Another interlude again, WTF? 5. When They Come For Me - This one Mike raps, Chester has good lyrics. Reminds me of Fort Minor days. 6. Robot Boy - Don't remember much about this one 7. Jornada Del Muerto - An interlude. Yet again! And it is in Spanish like the title suggests. 8. Waiting For The End - This was actually a good song Just not a fan of all the electro beats 9. Blackout - This song really confused a lot of us. It builds up, fades, and rebuilds. You think it is the start to the next song. 10. Wretches And Kings - 2 words, BAD ASS! This song has more of the HT feel with Fort Minor peppered thru it 11. Wisdom, Justice, And Love - Yet another interlude, but this one distorts into a robot sound. Felt like a commercial for Droid phones, and yes, I said that to the execs. 12. Iridescent - I really enjoyed this song. Had almost a revival drum feel about it. Very epic and mesmerizing 13. Fallout - The lyrics from Burning in the skies are repeated here. I kinda liked it, felt very fluid and continuous. 14. The Catalyst - Wrong song to lead off the album with 15. The Messenger - This song was not good. The album flows then BOOM, picture any 80's hair bang power ballad set to acoustic guitar. Someone liked this song and wanted it in. The only thing I can guess, the lyrics worked with the theme of the album but not so much the music. I guess it is to represent a stripped down world after whatever catastrophe occurred but it still doesn't fit. A piano would have been better. I was asked specifically what I didn't like and said it doesn't feel like a collaboration between all 6 members. I think Brad took a nap on this one. Almost no guitar. 1 of the execs agreed with me. M2M lost Joe and now he is back with a vengeance but they lost Brad and Phoenix along the way. You can pick out HT influence, Meteora influence, M2m influence and some Fort Minor influence. The record execs said "the band wanted to make an album that they wanted to hear but no one was doing" HT and Meteora were kinda the same, M2m was the beginning of the change bit they ran with the new sound on ATS. "
  21. Yeah for real, I hate that too. Why doesn't LP sell DSPs? Their excuse last touring cycle was that they didn't record London, Berlin, Bamboozle and Rock am Ring. Well hell now it's the BEGINNING of the next touring cycle, RECORD EVERYTHING!! No reason not to record NYC and this KROQ Breakfast and sell them on downloads.linkinpark.com. Only 5 songs? Reduced price. Still take pics of the setlist / show and put them in the DSP. LP should do it....Metallica does! In good news, I think this will be webcasted like the last one. We've got 2 recordings of the last Kevin And Bean Breakfast performance (2007)...webcast and FM.
  22. Hopefully someone here gets chosen for this. Will this be before or after 9/14?
  23. LP has a trillion different touring rigs; very easy for them to play LA one day and NYC the next.
  24. Considering they did a Kevin & Bean Breakfast Show in 2007 as part of the Projekt Revolution rehearsals, I'd say this is in LA. It was at the Forum but I bet this one is at a smaller location. Probably 5-6 songs.
  25. This is perhaps older news but I just noticed that linkinpark.com/lpu has updated the page and listed the venue for the LA Laser Exhibition on September 7th. Tuesday, September 7, 2010 Ricardo Montalbán Theatre 1615 North Vine Street Hollywood, CA 90028 Press release info: "Linkin Park invites you to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime multimedia presentation of Linkin Park's new album, A Thousand Suns. Participation is by invitation only. A select number of spaces will be reserved for members of the Linkin Park Underground. This listening event is for current LPU annual members and LPUX annual member pre-orders only. RSVPs are on a first come, first served basis. Monthly and trial LPU members excluded from offer. Limit 1 RSVP per member. " 8/31 UPDATE: The venue location has changed. This event will no longer be held at the Ricardo Montalban Theatre, but will instead be at the following location: THE MUSIC BOX 6126 Hollywood Boulevard Hollywood, CA 90028
