Since people are texting me and sending me messages about LPUX, I thought I'd clarify a few things for you guys. As you know, LPUX is available for preorder on http://linkinpark.com/lpu. They now are moving websites from lpunderground.com to linkinpark.com/lpu. There will be TWO packages now for the LPU - a $10 per month subscription, or a $60 a year subscription. The $10 package comes with presale opportunities and is basically online-only. The $60 package comes with the LPU M&G at shows, presales, access to special LPU events (LA laser show / NYC album release show), and access to LPU merch. A few things: - Preorder the $60 package now and you'll be able to download a compilation album from LPU's last ten years entitled "A Decade Underground". This album is essentially the Songs From The Underground EP with a few small changes (Across The Line included and no live tracks). HOWEVER, on this compilation album, there is a new 2008 unreleased song entitled "Pretend To Be". You can find COVER ART for "A Decade Underground" HERE. - THIS IS NOT THE LPUX CD. There will be an LPUX CD sold separately online for the members. Once again, "A Decade Underground" is NOT the LPUX CD for the new year of the LPU. There is an ENTIRELY new LPU CD that will be released later this year. LPU's press release says that it is going to be the best LPU CD released to date. - The LPU 9 package will be available to buy in the LPUX merch store (see: vinyl, etc). - You may now select "I'm Going" and sign up for the LA Laser Show event on 9/7 on lpunderground.com. The band WILL be at the event. Clicking "I'm Going" on the LPU confirms that you are getting a reserved seat for the experience. The New York show presale info will be sent out via email within the next week. If you preorder LPUX, you'll be sent this information. The LPU site says: "Current LPU Members and fans that pre-order LPUX by August 22 will be able to purchase tickets FIRST on August 23. You will receive an email with more information on how to purchase your tickets." - If you just bought LPU 9 recently, it will carry over. They are honoring all current expiration dates for the LPU. A good example is my account on the LPU. It expires in 2011. LPU will still honor this, so if you just bought a package or your account expires after October, you're STILL FINE and will have access to LPUX. - The LPUX package will NOT be available in Best Buy. The era of LPU packages sold in Best Buy is now ending, starting with LPUX. - There are no more package memberships. The LPU will have exclusive merch available to buy, but it no longer comes with the membership. You have to buy it separately. The LPU press release says: "In the next couple of months, we’ll also be announcing the track listing for the exciting new LPUX 10 song CD... which is everything fans have been waiting for." Read a message here about LPUX and why the band made the change for the fanclub. I hope this clears up any problems! Once again, I can't say it enough, "A Decade Underground" is NOT the CD for LPUX. My first show was PR07 but PR08 was pretty sweet too!

Sweet man thanks! Great song! I wish they'd play it live. It's hilarious because a song like this would blow up pop radio for 6 straight months and launch right to number 1. I promise my girlfriend that hates Faint, Lying From You, etc (lol @ me dating someone that HATES LP music - opposites attract though Bridge breakdown of the drums/bass is just awesome. Ending brings it, the guitar comes in HARD and they jam. Fucking SWEET track, props to whoever the hell's idea it was to just randomly release a 2008 demo for an LPU preorder. VERY NICE. Can't wait for the LPUX CD. The melody, lyrics, instrumental, drums, everything brings it NICELY.

Are you a dumbass? The laser show and NYC show are exclusive events that the LPU is giving you an opportunity to attend. They have nothing to do with the price. Did you ever think about why they'd raise the price? They aren't going to raise the price to just fuck with the fans. Believe it or not, that's not their goal. Did you ever think that the LPU is probably making VERY little money? Sending out thousands of shirts and stickers that cost a lot to produce...people don't even give a shit about the packages anymore except the CD and sometimes the shirt. It makes sense to just charge you for those items when you want them instead of making everyone buy them. Hell, LPU9 made a vinyl for 1,000 people and as far as I know, it was still available to buy yesterday. 1,000. That's not a lot. There's 10,000,000 fans on Facebook - basically you just saw that 1,000 of those people didn't buy the vinyl. So how the hell is the LPU making money? They give all sorts of stuff out for free now, etc...I don't see any revenue for them. Makes sense to raise the costs. $10 a month or just get the $60 for a year. They've gotta have some revenue to do some cool shit for the fans. I know they're not just going to have a regular LPU this year - I'm sure they're going to use the extra money to do cool shit for the fans. So if it means I pay $30 more a year for more perks and a BADASS fanclub, I'll gladly do it. Can't afford it? That also might be a point. Wouldn't surprise me if they wanted to weed out a lot of the n00bier fans. I'm also fine with that...LPU has a lot of that...more M&G opportunities, etc for the regular members. That's just my 2 cents. So it's fine with me. $60 isn't for one song. $60 is for another year of the LPU. More perks, more badass stuff from them, more awesome fanclub. I am 110% sure this will be the best year of LPU that has ever existed. The fact I can get a new song I've never even heard of when I preorder the new LPUX is just badass. LPU is improving in great strides. I don't see anyone in here that's bought the package for just one song. Do you know what's in store for LPUX? Do you? I don't but that's called being IGNORANT when you bash something without waiting and seeing exactly what's in store and what it entitles you to.

Starts off with a guitar riff on repeat. Pretty unique sounding guitar. There's REAL drums for the whole song, no drum machine (see Catalyst/Not Alone). "No, you've taken this too far, exposing who you are, for all to see...you're not the one that you Pretend To Be" is how the chorus goes. There's other guitar layered on during the choruses. Raw vocals by Chester...I think Mike is singing during the bridge on the "ah ah oh oh oh" stuff. It might be both of them layered together. With 44 seconds left the guitar cuts out and it goes to just drums and bass - unique. Then the guitar comes back in and they jam for a minute with the heavier guitar coming back in...reminds me of the end of Bleed It Out live for some reason. It's long but cool. Not as good as Across The Line but I enjoy it a lot more than the recently released songs. Great song. Highly approve of this, lol. No hard feelings towards anyone that disagrees with me on the song leaking. It's just a song, no need to get up in arms about it.

It's an incentive to preorder. That's the idea. You preorder and you get this song. I can write whatever the fuck I want? Yeah I've shared some stuff before but that has nothing to do with right now. Me sharing stuff in the past didn't include a $60 pricetag. I am literally almost broke right now due to my textbooks in school. Just because I can afford it and you can't doesn't mean you're somehow entitled to it leaking so you can hear it. Jesus.

Yeah Decade Of Underground is for LPUX. There's an LPUX CD in October though just like all previous LPU CDs had. And no, there's no reason that justifies leaking something like that. It doesn't matter if you can't afford it right now. Save up and then get it. Just because you can't afford it that suddenly doesn't make it ok. Just because I can't afford a concert ticket doesn't mean my friend can take his and make copies for me.

Rapes Not Alone and Blackbirds easily. I enjoy it a lot more than The Catalyst, that's for sure. Can't get into The Catalyst yet...still not a fan. This is pretty upbeat while staying mellow. Fun song!

I hope it doesn't leak. Fuck you whoever leaks it to somewhere else online. Certainly won't be me this time after I dropped $60 to get it. I think the $60 price is justified. Wait until it launches and we'll see what all we get. I think it'll all be fine.
