http://www.accessatlanta.com/atlanta-music...big-730137.html Great how the AP article doesn't mention a god damn thing about LP, fucking hate that shit.
-
Got a confirmed setlist I can post? Interesting that they did that little thing after Papercut then.
-
Congrats on 1,000. Wow the band really had a lot going for them at this show. The venue is perfect...really nice setting with a great light show (I like the stage 100x more than what they have with the ATS world tour right now). MASSIVE crowd showed up to see this...must be like 20,000+. Looks like a Live 8-style crowd lol. Chester has a beanie on, looks like he's from 2003 (that's a GOOD thing). He is all over the stage. Mike has a ton of energy. Yelling MADRID on WAK bridge, that's badass. Papercut is just awesome. What a sweet looking show. I can't wait to see the whole thing. Easily the best performance so far I've seen from 2010. Even 2009+. All the different factors fell into place perfectly to make this look like a great show. Even Phoenix is moving around a bit and Joe looks really into it, Rob bobbing his head up and down. The band must have loved this shit. Full proshot is gonna be epic as it gets. Did they really not play Given Up? If not then this is the first time Papercut has that drum/guitar little ending afterward that Given Up has had on the ATS tour. Interesting to me.

This shit sounds great. Also the 2 comments about the "sound"...this is obviously very raw and unmixed. If they mix it before the full broadcast I promise it'll sound totally different lol. Chester is pretty low in the mix. The Requiem shit sounded amazing. Best WAK performance I've seen yet from this year. Mike on the bridge yelling and saying MADRID is badass. Damn, wish there was a DSP for this one. Can't complain though if we have a full proshot video source of it coming. Mike had all sorts of energy at this one haha

I emailed Pooch with the supposed setlist of Madrid and asked him to confirm it if he had a moment and if not, if he could tell us what the exact one was. Thanks all of you who gave the updates from the show. We should have the confirmation within a day.

Disagree. Seen both bands, LP 9x, Muse x2...Muse rapes them easily in the live show. UFOs, towers, epic light show. The closest LP has come to beating them would be PR04's production with the pyro, etc. Otherwise Muse takes the award home in my opinion. Muse blows every other band live the fuck out of the water, I don't care what anyone says unless you've seen them both within the past 2 years max. You can't tell me PR08 or summer 09 or ATS World Tour beats Muse's Resistance performances. LOL. Bellamy & co are EXPERTS at the live show production and take LP to the cleaners all day and all night long at it. With that said, I obviously Next, LOL @ people saying "omg didn't know they were playing more than 2 songs so I didn't go". LP plays in Spain very rarely so why wouldn't you go? Even if they were just broadcasting WFTE and Catalyst, I'm sure they'd rehearse those 1-2 times each plus play New Divide or something, Bleed It Out maybe, like the MTV VMA's. LP has always done that. Kerrang Awards 2003, Top Of The Pops 2003, Jimmy Kimmel 2003 and 2007, etc. They play longer than you think just about all the time for the small shows. If I lived there and it was 12 hours for me to see LP, I'd go in a heartbeat even if I knew it was one song because I know they rarely come to where I am at. But to each their own...I just don't think it's justified at all to bitch about it when this isn't something "new" they've randomly done where they go to a TV performance and are like "LOLZ 2010 NAO, LETZ PLY MOAR S0NGZ 2DAY!!11". ANYWAY, http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopi...st&p=112756 Is this the correct setlist? You're 100% sure? I haven't put anything on the main page because I haven't gotten any sort of confirmed setlist.
-
Wow what a badass soundcheck, the fans are going crazy lol. I really like how there are no lights, no production, etc. It looks more like the performance is RAW. I'd love to see LP in a setting like that just once to really see how different it is from the massive production they're trying to pull off.
-
THIS. Everyone has problems, everyone makes mistakes, it's not a big deal. This is not even comparable to the guitar fucking up in OSC. This is comparable to Joe fucking up the Crawling intro several times in the same performance.
-
Not yet. I heard the uploader won't be back until later tonight from his usual weekly vacation so it won't be in the usual place until after that....like in 10 hours. But I also did hear that it WILL be available there for sure 100% if the OTHER person didn't do it already. Just rumors, yo.
-
CALLING ASTAT FTW So this ONE TIME.....
-
No DSP for this show Hopefully a bunch of a good crowd videos surface. I thought they'd only be playing 2 songs...Waiting For The End and The Catalyst. A full set is awesome. You don't know the other 2 soundcheck songs? Maybe Requiem, Given Up, Faint, etc? When They Come For Me?
-
Hell yeah Madrid gets a full LP show, that's awesome. Thanks for the info.
-
http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=6076 Show thread moved, thanks. Sorry for the late post, I fucking failed on this one lol. I thought they'd be playing much later in the day...didn't know it was so close already to show time.

LP is playing in Madrid today to take a break from the "A Thousand Suns" World Tour by playing the MTV European Music Awards. Linkin Park, Katy Perry, 30 Seconds To Mars, and more are set to play at the Puerta de Alcalá in Madrid. Pictures are already circulating of the LP stage and the songs played during soundcheck. 'Waiting For The End' actually opened first, but it is rumored that LP is playing a full show today. LP last played Madrid in 2008 (show page here) on the third show of the summer European Tour. 'Cure For The Itch' made its 2008 debut at that show. They had two canceled shows in Spain (Madrid and Barcelona) on the canceled summer 2003 European Tour when Chester was down and out, but they made up the Madrid show later that year in September (show page here). That was a pretty cool show and the audience recording from that finally surfaced only a short time ago, so be sure and check that out. They played three shows there in 2001 to kick off the Deftones' European Tour as well (one was in Madrid). So this should be their fourth appearance in Madrid! Who's going to the show from LPLive? Is anyone reporting the setlist live? SOUNDCHECK: 01. Waiting For The End 02. Waiting For The End 03. Wretches & Kings 04. Papercut 05. New Divide 06. Faint 07. In The End (Partial) SETLIST: 01. The Requiem 02. Wretches and Kings 03. Papercut 04. New Divide 05. Faint 06. Empty Spaces 07. When They Come for Me 08. Jornada Del Muerto 09. Waiting For The End 10. Wisdom, Justice, and Love 11. Iridescent 12. Numb 13. The Radiance (Live Version) 14. Breaking The Habit 15. Shadow Of The Day 16. Fallout 17. The Catalyst 18. The Messenger 19. In The End 20. What I've Done 21. Bleed It Out (w/ A Place for my Head verse 1 and bridge) Show page can be found here

Aaaaand that would be APFMH. -
Pretty sure there were just two. If you can prove me wrong then I'll totally back down from that lol

LP heads over to Newcastle, England today for their next UK show of the tour. Ironically, this is the only city on the World Tour so far that has ANOTHER city named the exact same that LP is playing. They'll be in Newcastle, Australia on Dec. 14! Both cities were added AFTER the original tour dates were released so that's pretty cool. Linkin Park has never played in Newcastle before (in either country). Newcastle (UK) joins Linz (Austria), Dortmund (Germany), Herning (Denmark) and two of the three South American cities: Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Santiago (Chile) to make it the sixth "new" city the band has played in on the "A Thousand Suns" World Tour! Last night in Manchester (show page here), they played what we'll call the "Alternate Setlist" (Main and Alternate ok with everyone for right now?) with 'Lying From You' and 'Leave Out All The Rest' instead of 'Papercut' and 'The Messenger'. 'A Place For My Head' snuck its way back into the set over 'Bleed It Out' again...video here: (Disregard the uploader calling it 'Papercut', wtf) It seems the crowd is really getting into it when Chester starts the bridge! So who's going to Newcastle? Anyone get an LPU M&G? After this show the band goes to SPAIN for the MTV EMA's...more info on that to come! The few questions today are: Would you like to see Mike rap anything else over 'Bleed It Out'? I believe at the Manchester M&G, 'Step Up' and 'Forgotten' were requested but Mike said the tempo of those were too quick...interesting. What about something odd like...'QWERTY'? Or maybe even singing part of 'No Roads Left'? Lastly, I want to alert you to the first DSP "fix" that I discovered this year. I posted a thread here that talks about Mike singing "The Radiance" in Paris with no vocal effect, but the DSP has it edited as a "fix". SETLIST: 01. The Requiem 02. Wretches and Kings 03. Papercut 04. Given Up 05. New Divide 06. Faint 07. Empty Spaces 08. When They Come For Me 09. No More Sorrow 10. Jornada Del Muerto 11. Waiting For The End 12. Wisdom, Justice & Love 13. Iridescent 14. Numb 15. The Radiance (Live Version) 16. Breaking The Habit 17. Shadow Of The Day 18. Crawling 19. One Step Closer ---------------------------- 20. Fallout 21. The Catalyst 22. The Messenger 23. In The End 24. What I've Done 25. Bleed It Out

Hell yeah for real. I didn't even know LPA had a podcast about the Summit. I don't check their site, I don't go there, there's no way a lot of people would know that. Exact same vice versa if we had a podcast about the Summit and Adam announced exclusive info to us. All that should be on the Summit page on the LPU. Fansites shouldn't be the ones that have ONLY certain pieces of info on stuff, even if it is a podcast about the Summit.

Tracklist or no tracklist today?
-
The Radiance on the DSP is edited. Mike sang the Catalyst part in his regular voice and on the DSP it's in the vocoder effect. :/ I guess this is our first confirmed fix on the DSP for 2010. Damn.
-
Tracklist today please! Presale? fuck yeah, gonna buy tickets to a million concerts lol
-
Hell yeah Chester hates Runaway. He doesn't like a lot of LP material. When Session won an award he was PISSED that it wasn't one of their other songs lol. He's stated over time he doesn't like Hit The Floor, Easier To Run, and then when he was drunk off his ass at Club Tattoo he said he thought ITE was a piece of shit when they wrote it and that OSC is garbage haha. His favorite song to play is FROM THE INSIDE. How random.
-
LOL hell yeah that'd be sweet. That'd be cool if they opened up the USA arena tour...wouldn't bother me at all. Bring them out on WTCFM. They were good...very entertaining set. Destroys Coheed/Chiodos lol.

Remember Street Drum Corps? They opened the main stage on Projekt Revolution 2008 for Linkin Park and not only that, but they also came out on the LP set to start the show each night and usually came out again later in the set. Since LP rotated setlists on that tour (X, Y and Z), SDC used two different intros to start the show. Set Y ('What I've Done' opening) and Set Z ('No More Sorrow' opening) both had what LP called on their setlists the "Train/Tailpipe" intro. Set X ('One Step Closer' opening) had the "6th Street Bridge" intro. I never thought twice about it at the time...I was under the impression Street Drum Corps just made up some intros on the spot during rehearsals to use for the LP set intro and they went from there. However, while browsing Twitter today I saw that the Street Drum Corps Twitter account had a link to download a new song off their album "Big Noise" entitled "6th Street Bridge". Wait a minute.... it was really one of their own songs the entire time, haha. So if you want to hear the studio version of said track, go here and put in your email address to get the free .m4a of it. It's actually a really good track and I'll be sure and grab their CD when it drops. Here's SDC and LP in action in Hartford, CT with the intro followed by 'One Step Closer'. Yeah I'm loving the fact we can post YouTube videos on the homepage now, can you tell haha? Their CD actually should be pretty sweet and I'm not just saying that because it was recorded at Dave Grohl's own Studio 606 (where Foo Fighters record at). Their blog says Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), Matt Sorum (Velvet Revolver), Shannon Leto (30 Seconds To Mars) and Brandon Sellar (Atreyu) will all be featured on the album. Damn! Check it!

Linkin Park begins their UK leg of the European Tour tonight in Manchester, England at the MEN Arena. This will be the 11th show of the European leg for the band. LP is no stranger to Manchester, having played there as recently as January 2008 (show page here), which really just seems like yesterday. That was the show where Mike fucked up the 'It's Goin' Down' rap intro to 'Points Of Authority' because some fans in the front row started rapping 'Petrified' instead. It was also where part of the 'Given Up' music video was filmed! They played the exact same arena in 2003 (show page here) on their November UK tour, where they opened with 'Papercut' and where Mike rapped a verse of 'Standing In The Middle' over 'Nobody's Listening'. That was the first tour that 'Breaking The Habit' was ever played on! They played Manchester's Apollo twice in early 2001 opening for the Deftones (show pages here and here). Nothing really remarkable happened at those shows...but LP changed the setlist up entirely for the second show, so this could possibly be the first time they ever played the same venue twice on one tour. The band returned later that year only a few days after Sept. 11 to headline the Apollo (show page here), and that show was the first time 'My December' was added to their touring setlist. I believe that was the second time it was ever played (the KROQ 2000 show was the first)! They also played at the Apollo on the LPU 2003 tour (show page here). Common recordings exist of ALL of these shows. So this should make this their sixth appearance in Manchester! Here's our latest tour jam....this is 'Bleed It Out' with 'Reading My Eyes' and 'Burning In The Skies' over it in Frankfurt. What's in store for the UK leg of the tour? Who from LPLive is going to Manchester? Anyone have a M&G? Do you guys think the band will continue to experiment with 'Bleed It Out'? What else would you like to see Mike rap over it? Tomorrow the band plays in Newcastle, UK (ironically, Newcastle in Australia was just added to their tour dates down under) before taking a day off and heading to the MTV EMA's in Madrid. The rest of the 2010 tour dates can be found here. Also if you didn't catch it, Mike posted about our website on his blog HERE. SETLIST: 01. The Requiem 02. Wretches and Kings 03. Lying From You 04. Given Up 05. New Divide 06. Faint 07. Empty Spaces 08. When They Come For Me 09. No More Sorrow 10. Jornada Del Muerto 11. Waiting For The End 12. Wisdom, Justice & Love 13. Iridescent 14. Numb 15. The Radiance (Live Version) 16. Breaking The Habit 17. Shadow Of The Day 18. Crawling 19. One Step Closer ---------------------------- 20. Fallout 21. The Catalyst 22. Leave Out All The Rest 23. In The End 24. What I've Done 25. Bleed It Out (A Place For My Head 1st Verse and Bridge over the Bleed It Out Bridge)
