No. Mike said APFMH was unrehearsed. Probably right before the set they made the decision to play it. LOATR and LFY info came from Pooch, who is the most reliable person on the matter actually. Those were actually on the setlist. I'm not 100% sure about APFMH but I am pretty sure that one wasn't on the setlist. But he informed us that the band saw complaining about the setlist here online and that they changed it up, performing 2 unrehearsed songs because of that.

LP will be playing their next show in Hamburg, Germany today at O2 World. This is the seventh show for the band on the European leg of the tour and the tenth show of the World Tour (NYC not counted here since it was an album release show aka "promo show" in our definition). LP last performed in Hamburg in 2007 (show page here) for the third arena show in support of "Minutes To Midnight". An interesting note about Hamburg is that it is the city where LP had to cancel their show on September 11th, 2001 (show page here) due to the terrorist attacks in the USA. They played with the Deftones in Hamburg earlier that year (WOW, we actually have NO show page for that one!) and then made up the canceled show in 2003 on the LPU Tour (show page here). Assuming all of what I said is correct, this will be their fourth show in Hamburg. And lastly, this is the fifth German show out of SIX on this leg of the tour. Nice! Anyway, in Köln two days ago (show page here), they randomly surprised us by placing 'Lying From You' and 'Leave Out All The Rest' in place of 'Papercut' and 'The Messenger'. The question is... will they change up any other songs? They have played three total songs on this tour unrehearsed ('A Place For My Head' in Paris being the other), so why stop now? Would you like to see them play something like 'Somewhere I Belong', 'From The Inside', or 'Points Of Authority'? What about any other songs off of "A Thousand Suns"? Who's going to the show? Are we getting live setlist updates for this one again like we did for the last show? We have a lot of sweet pictures to add to the site after the tour is over, so I can't wait for that. So the second LP starts changing songs live this year, Chester jumps off a platform on LFY, falls, breaks his back and causes the entire world tour to be canceled. Step 1: Break your back on LFY, canceling the tour Step 2: ??? Step 3: PROFIT! lol

Thanks Ana! Added this LFY to the latest news post I did. Well we'll see about MFR. We knew about Istanbul 08 and it never happened so let's just wait and see.

I think they'll actually continue doing this and I sure don't see why not. If they know it, play it. They seem more confident playing unrehearsed shit (and they actually sound good on it). There's a lot of possible, likely songs they can do for this: Points Of Authority, Pushing Me Away, Don't Stay, Somewhere I Belong, Lying From You, From The Inside, Leave Out All The Rest, In Pieces More possible but unlikely ones in my opinion: Valentine's Day, The Little Things Give You Away, Hands Held High, In Between, My December, Pushing Me Away (Piano Version) Hell yeah, make it happen rotating 1-2 songs each night from that first list would be so badass and make the DSPs that much more exciting.

Music For Relief has it rumored. We'll see what happens but I think it's very likely Auckland will be added. Maybe not a 3rd Sydney date but New Zealand for sure since the album sold so well there.

Check out this post by our staff member Mike after the show in Köln yesterday. After hanging out with some members of the crew, he informed me that the band had seen some complaints online recently about the setlists for the European leg of the tour and that they decided to change up what they were playing. Was that because of this 5 page thread? Most likely so! This is where last night comes into play. 'Papercut' was swapped with 'Lying From You' and 'The Messenger' was swapped with 'Leave Out All The Rest'. Read the show page here for the full setlist. How awesome! He also notes that these were played unrehearsed. This would make this the second show where such a thing has happened, the first being Paris with a surprise performance of 'A Place For My Head' for the Hybrid Theory 10th Anniversary. What do you guys think? Do you like the fact that the band took notice to the problem a lot of fans had and changed it up? So what do you predict they'll do for the rest of the tour? Is LP becoming a band that can almost flawlessly pull off playing random, unrehearsed songs in the set each show? Do you think they will do this for each show with maybe 1-2 different songs? Would that make the shows more exciting for you to go to if you didn't know the full set in advance? What other songs would you like to see them do? Do you think they'll randomly pull out 'From The Inside' or another song they played on the Minutes To Midnight touring cycle on this tour? Because they play 6 shows in Germany. Why the heck not change it up. LOATR isn't really boring live. I didn't like it on PR08 but it was great last summer in Europe. Crowd really was jamming. Even in Graz I said damn I hated LOATR in 08 but it's actually pretty sweet live. 0:25 (feat. Stefano/Jacrid taking a picture ) Like you said, we bitch if they don't change it and we bitch if they do change it. I'll take any change over no change. Even if they had Papercut in the main set and played it at every show of the tour then swapped it for LOATR. That's a change. Any change beats zero in my opinion at least. I'll take PMA piano even if it's a change. I've personally seen all the non-ATS songs they're playing in 2010 except APFMH about 8+ times. I would love to see APFMH.

An incentive to see more than 1 show! LP randomly changing the setlist every night like this = slowly becoming like Metallica which is what a ton of fans want. Obviously a huge huge comparison that isn't even that accurate, but LP has never done anything like this before and it's AWESOME. I need USA tour dates ASAP lol. Please announce them by Christmas so I can get presents of LP tickets.

APFMH over BIO was terrible lol. RME over it was much better.

Yeah but LP rotating/changing shit randomly is a great sign. If they are doing this unrehearsed, they might throw in random other stuff too on the tour. FTI, Don't Stay, SIB, maybe In Pieces. Anything cool like that is an added win. I like this crazy set stuff they're doing.

The Messenger replaced with LOATR. Not a bad guess. lol. just figured a slow song for a slow song. I didn't think they'd drop ITE/WID/BIO.

I predict the next change comes after The Catalyst. Probably a Meteora or MTM song. Maybe LOATR.
