Did he say APFMH?
-
Radiance, BTH and SOTD. Chaz has a red shirt on under his hoodie. Maybe it's the LPL shirt! I hope so I wonder if they'll play BITS.
-
SORRY, dumb internet. Updating the main post now!

I think this is going to be an epic show! http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=5990 LPLive shirt and a setlist change!!
-
Mike got the shirt! Success! Nice job Overkill and LPL staff!
-
SpikeMinoda is doing updates on Twitter of the setlist, so we should have it in realtime for this show. Sweet!
-
Added the Bleed It Out video with APFMH verse 1 on it to the main post thanks to frantic.

Thanks so much for sharing frantic! I am downloading your audio now. Mucho appreciated. Hope you had a lot of fun at the show. Your contributions are awesome.

They might repeat this one again tonight in Cologne.

Let's see what happens!

It's too good not to share... and even though it's a day late, here's the great quality video of the song from the Paris show a few nights ago. A total surprise! Anyone excited for the DSP of this show? EDIT: And here's Mike rapping verse 1 of 'A Place For My Head' over the bridge of 'Bleed It Out' in Dortmund. Thanks franticfreak!

Today Linkin Park plays their fourth German show of the tour and the ninth overall show of the World Tour in Köln, Germany at LANXESS Arena. LP is no stranger to Köln, playing there in 2008 on their winter tour. Something interesting about that show is that it was the live debut of "In Between" and the debut of a brand new setlist for the band that they used throughout the winter. For those familiar enough, it's the same set they used at the legendary Madison Square Garden show later on that tour. The band also played in the city in March of 2001 with the Deftones (show page here) and then headlined the Palladium later that year (show page here), making this their fourth full show there. You can count another appearance with their 2007 'What I've Done' TV performance (show page here) too. Dortmund didn't have 'A Place For My Head', but instead of singing 'Burning In The Skies' over the bridge of 'Bleed It Out' like he usually does, Mike rapped verse 1 of 'A Place For My Head' over it. Interesting! The few questions for today are as follows: Will Mike rap any other verses over 'Bleed It Out' on the tour? Remember, he has rapped the first verse of 'Reading My Eyes' over the bridge once before (and over the intro once). Will 'A Place For My Head' return this year? Maybe at London? Will they randomly play any other songs? And will they change the setlist at all for either London night? What do you think? Who's going to Köln? I've been really surprised with how fast YouTube videos and pictures pop up from the shows, so nice job with that. Keep up the good work, haha. This is a great tour with a great setlist! Does anyone have any highlights from recent shows that you like? Post them in a reply! And lastly, here is an audio rip of the Dortmund show. Thanks franticfreak! After a day off, the band heads to Hamburg and then Herning, Denmark for two shows in a row. The rest of the 2010 tour dates can be found here. SETLIST: (Live updates courtesy of SpikeMinoda) 01. The Requiem 02. Wretches and Kings 03. Lying From You 04. Given Up 05. New Divide 06. Faint 07. Empty Spaces 08. When They Come For Me 09. No More Sorrow 10. Jornada Del Muerto 11. Waiting For The End 12. Wisdom, Justice & Love 13. Iridescent 14. Numb 15. The Radiance (Live Version) 16. Breaking The Habit 17. Shadow Of The Day 18. Crawling 19. One Step Closer ---------------------------- 20. Fallout 21. The Catalyst 22. Leave Out All The Rest 23. In The End (Chester in the crowd from the bridge until the end) 24. What I've Done 25. Bleed It Out (Ext. intro) (Bridge w/ BITS chorus by Mike & Chaz) 'Papercut' was swapped out for 'Lying From You' and 'The Messenger' swapped out for 'Leave Out All The Rest'! Word on the street is that the band did these unrehearsed!

No, that is incorrect. By interaction, he means talking to the crowd. And LP rarely did that at all between NYC and Linz. Paris, they talked. That's what he means, not interaction as in hands up, clapping, etc. APFMH was very likely not caused by the complaining here, it was rather caused likely by the HT 10 year. Complaining about APFMH in the past has worked with the constant nagging about it at M&Gs during 2007 and the huge petition in Perth they had for it that they gave to the band...you could argue that that made them add it in 2008 but who REALLY knows other than the band. I am excited, however, for the setlist poll Mike was talking about.
-
The day I ever bitch about APFMH being played, I will give someone LPLive, the entire website, personally. I want to hear that song live so badly. I don't care if they play it in every show the rest of the existence of the band. I LOVE it. I'd give anything to see it performed.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBIIaxGIwRY This is one of the best live videos I've ever seen by them.

Nicely said Astat. However, with how critical most people are on this site (me included I guess lol), it doesn't surprise me. You add something rare in there and the set becomes badass. Set X in Europe wasn't taken to the cleaners like you'd think (people got fed up with Set C, very similar to X, during late 2007) it would have been and you know why? Reading My Eyes. http://lplive.net/shows/20071011.php http://lplive.net/shows/20080610.php Just look how similar they are. With Y and Z having A Place For My Head, Valentine's Day and Pushing Me Away, you'd think people like LPL fans would crucify X but no, it had Reading My Eyes. I actually noticed that around the time of the MK show, that was the first time I saw people getting pissed about it. And why? They dropped Reading My Eyes. So yeah one song really matters to people here. I totally agree with you but I just thought I'd throw out an example of one song really improving peoples' opinions of a setlist (like we are seeing with the 2010 one).

Thanks for the shoutout! Glad you enjoy them. I apologize for Paris and a few others being really rushed. I've done a few from my girlfriend's laptop while traveling (I'm on the go a lot) and some have even been really late (5-6 hours before the show, oops) so I'll try and get with it and get them done quicker and have them up to standard like this one again. This one came out pretty cool in my opinion. Can't wait for some DSPs!

Linkin Park plays their next show today in Dortmund, Germany at Westfalenhalle 1. LP is of course no stranger to Germany but this is their first performance in the city of Dortmund. This is the only time during the World Tour for "A Thousand Suns" where LP is playing three shows in three consecutive days. Paris was yesterday, Dortmund is today and Köln follows tomorrow. Initially only five German (lol @ "only") shows were announced (June 5 from the Rock am Ring video screens is when we got those) but Dortmund was added on July 28 and was due to "extraordinary demand" according to the promoter (MLK). This is the fifth show of the European leg and eight total for the World Tour. Wow, it's going by quickly! Paris (show page here) set a few records for the band. First of all, they have played more "songs" than they ever have before, with 26. That's 20 full songs. The Meteora World Tour in 2004 had 19 but "Set D" (aka the revamped "Set B") on Projekt Revolution 2007 had 21, excluding "Wake". It's really all perception and how you "count" songs, but we do know that their setlist has never reached the number 26 before! I guess this is where we say kudos to "A Thousand Suns"! "A Place For My Head" was debuted, taking it from 25 to 26 and this means that Paris could possibly take the award for the longest Linkin Park show in history, which I believe is currently held by the Sheffield, UK show in January of 2008 (show page here). More info on that will come AFTER the European leg of the tour when we know what took place at the rest of the shows and when we have the DSPs. But so far, it seems Paris is winning! And now for some questions! Will they keep "A Place For My Head"? Or was it just a one time thing? They won't randomly break out another song mid-set like that will they? Mike said beforehand that it was unrehearsed and we all know the band rarely does anything like that, so what do you think? So who's going to Dortmund? What do you all think they'll play in Dortmund? I guess that's the big question...if they'll keep "A Place For My Head" or not. They have actually changed songs in a setlist mid-tour before (several times in 2007 and 2008) but I don't know if they've ever just flat out ADDED one song and kept it like that. Any experts around? The rest of the 2010 tour dates can be found here. Let's see how the rest of the tour goes. I do know one thing..."A Place For My Head" being added sure satisfied a LOT of people and if you don't believe me, just take a look at the Paris thread here. Lastly, if you went to the Linz show and have your ticket still, we're looking for it to add to the show page! Let me know ASAP please! Thanks! SETLIST: 01. The Requiem 02. Wretches & Kings 03. Papercut 04. Given Up 05. New Divide 06. Faint 07. Empty Spaces 08. When They Come For Me 09. No More Sorrow 10. Jornada Del Muerto 11. Waiting For The End 12. Wisdom, Justice, & Love 13. Iridescent 14. Numb 15. The Radiance (Live Version) 16. Breaking The Habit 17. Shadow Of The Day 18. Crawling 19. One Step Closer ------- 20. Fallout 21. The Catalyst 22. The Messenger 23. In The End 24. What I've Done 25. Bleed It Out (w/ A Place For My Head verse 1 over the bridge) *Show Notes* Before the APFMH verse MIke pointed at LPL Members SpikeMinoda, Overkill, and Jacrid, and said this is just for you guys.

Hey man! Glad you had a lot of fun at the show! Did you take your girlfriend? Nice meeting you last year - I'll come back sometime in the future and attend another show over there, haha.

LP - 27.10.2010 - Köln, NW, LANXESS Arena
hahninator replied to hahninator's topic in Show Roll Call
Yep! A lot of tapers share audio and video here for free. -
Adding APFMH before OSC gives it the APFMH/OSC ending combo everyone (including me) wants and now they have a non-single HT song in there, DONE. Fucking great setlist. And knowing our luck, they'll drop APFMH for the USA, lol. I want to see that song so badly live.
-
Hell yeah I hope they keep that shit the rest of the tour, that is awesome! I can't wait for a video!

LP continues their European Tour today in Paris, France at Bercy. The band has played this venue several times before, notably during their 2003 European headlining tour (canceled but then rescheduled) and then again in 2007 and 2008. At the last show in Linz, Austria, the band played the same setlist they've been playing so it seems like they'll continue that at least for the rest of the European Tour. You never know, they could switch something up randomly (we've seen it before mid-tour on the Meteora World Tour in 2004 and on Projekt Revolution in 2007). Anyway, so we plan on the set being the same. When do you think the band will begin to change the set up a bit? Who's going to the show? Is anyone going that has seen them in Paris before? Tomorrow Linkin Park plays at Westfalenhalle 1 in Dortmund and then again the day after in Köln. The show is now over, so here we go with the post show report! SETLIST: 01. The Requiem 02. Wretches & Kings 03. Papercut 04. Given Up 05. New Divide 06. Faint 07. Empty Spaces 08. When They Come For Me 09. No More Sorrow 10. Jornada Del Muerto 11. Waiting For The End 12. Wisdom, Justice, & Love 13. Iridescent 14. Numb 15. The Radiance (Live Version) 16. Breaking The Habit 17. Shadow Of The Day 18. Crawling 19. A Place For My Head 20. One Step Closer ------- 21. Fallout 22. The Catalyst 23. The Messenger 24. In The End 25. What I've Done 26. Bleed It Out - After 'Crawling', Mike talked about how the 24th was a special day because of the Hybrid Theory 10th Anniversary. Brad teased the intro to 'A Place For My Head' and then the entire band went into it. It's currently unknown if that was exactly planned or not, but it was played! So there's our change! - They talked to the crowd between songs, before 'When They Come For Me', 'A Place For My Head', 'Bleed It Out' and a few others. - Chester went into the crowd on 'Breaking The Habit' and Mike went into the crowd on 'In The End' and 'A Place For My Head'. - Chester had a French flag during 'Shadow Of The Day'. CONGRATULATIONS, Paris! Who all went to the show?!
