I don't care what others say about me at this point, so here it is point blank. You are an idiot. That is the absolutely dumbest post I have ever read. I think I'm one of the most critical people around of LP's setlists, bitching every chance I get it seems. But you have taken that to a whole 'nother level. Bitching because they played the main World Tour setlist at the first show in Australia in 3 years (who, by the way haven't seen ANY "A Thousand Suns" songs up until this tour) is just ABSURD. Good fucking god. -
Entered. I hope I win! This would be so awesome. LPU Summit. Jay-Z. Linkin Park. Sydney. Australia. MUST WIN Whoever wins, take me with you lol

Well damn that's actually true to an extent. "I Have Not Begun" samples "The 900 Number" by 45 King. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axJpBlxW6n0 That's the original song. Mike uses that for the beat instrumental in "I Have Not Begun" and it's likely "The 900 Number" that Joe is playing in Tokyo. I guess later, Mike took the beat and used it to make this song. The song was made in 2009 and Tokyo was in 2007, meaning them playing the instrumental from "I Have Not Begun" wasn't possible since the song wasn't made yet. Nice find though.

First video is up and it's a good one. Badass lights. sucks no "V" stage. -
Linkin Park heads to Newscastle, Australia on the 4th to play at the Newcastle Entertainment Center for their second show in Australia this year. Newcastle, NSW is the first of two cities on this tour that Linkin Park has never played in before, the other being Canberra, ACT for the last show of the tour. After this show, they have THREE days off before playing in Burswood, WA at the Burswood Dome on the 7th. Newcastle is the very first show of the tour that Jay-Z could possibly guest at (due to him having some off days on the U2 tour). For all of those possible shows, look at this thread. The first show of the tour, Boondall (or as some of you like to call it, Brisbane) had the same setlist (show page here.) that was featured throughout the first portion of the tour, with 'The Requiem' and 'Wretches & Kings' opening, 'Bleed It Out' closing', and 'Papercut' and 'The Messenger' being in there. The band also got the crowd to sing Happy Birthday to Brad over the beginning of 'The Messenger'! LPLive user Hawk reports that the band soundchecked 'Burning In The Skies' and 'Blackout' before the Boondall show yesterday. Maybe they're getting those ready for this tour? Also it's interesting to note that the "V" stage that the band used in Europe was not used in Boondall. Instead, they used the normal stage so I guess Australia doesn't get the "V"? Who's going to Newcastle? For those of you going as well as those of you not going.... when do you think they'll debut 'Burning In The Skies' and 'Blackout'? Do you think Newcastle will get a different setlist? Do you think they'll rotate sets throughout Australia? ...And when will Jay-Z come out? What songs do you want Jay to play with them? The same they've been doing (half of 'Numb/Encore' and all of 'Jigga What/Faint' w/ the ext. outro) OR do you want them to play a few other Collision Course tunes? Is everyone excited for this tour? I personally think it's pretty sweet that we get the DSPs for all of the Australian shows immediately this time instead of having to wait almost 3 years! By the way as just a note: This is NOT us on Facebook. Our Facebook page goes by "LPLive" and not "Linkin Park LIVE". Our proper YouTube channel is "lplivenet" and not "LPliveTV". Just a heads up so no one is confused! SETLIST: 01. The Requiem 02. Wretches And Kings 03. Papercut 04. Given Up 05. New Divide 06. Faint (w/ LPLive member "Pez" on guitar!) 07. Empty Spaces 08. When They Come For Me 09. No More Sorrow 10. Jornada Del Muerto 11. Waiting For The End 12. Wisdom, Justice, And Love 13. Iridescent 14. Numb 15. The Radiance (Live Version) 16. Uhh, first show of the tour usually always has that repeat setlist...this is nothing new for LP. I expected this. Why so much bitching? lol it's a GREAT set, I'd love to see it live. -
Awesome! Congrats! I hope Cincy and San Jose get confirmed!

I posted it a few days in advance to get the Australian discussions going. Usually I post a day or 2 in advance but 2-3 this time since there's a big time difference. We always list the EXACT location of the venues. We've done our research on the shows before we put them on LPLive. We want to be specific, not vague. If they announce a show in Seattle, WA and it's really in Auburn, WA, we put that. Venue website: http://www.brisent.com.au/default.asp?Page...tainment+Centre Brisbane Entertainment Centre Street Address: Melaleuca Drive, BOONDALL QLD 4034 lol @ Muse being cheaper and Muse blowing LP the fuck out of the water live. -
Not in Australia but on the North America and Asia tours in the winter I see My December and Valentine's Day coming back.
-
I fully disagree with what's taking place here.

Papercut Breaking The Habit Waiting For The End Faint Wretches & Kings One Step Closer In that order! That's nasty!

The site just hasn't been updated yet. I don't think they'll fix it until after the tour and the DSPs start to surface. But yes we will get DSPs for ALL Australian shows ASAP. All headlining shows on the ATS cycle will get a DSP starting with Buenos Aires. -
Tel Aviv show is so awesome. So much energy going on and you can tell the band is feeding off of it. WTCFM is just badass, best one of the tour since Berlin. First and last shows of the tour have the best versions lol.

The Australian Tour is here! Linkin Park kicks off their Australian leg of the "A Thousand Suns" World Tour down under on the third of December in Boondall, Australia (a small city just north of Brisbane) at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. It's definitely fitting since the last show they played in Australia took place at the exact same venue - Boondall closed the Australia / New Zealand Tour for "Minutes To Midnight" on October 22, 2007 (show page here). That show spurned the only audience recording of that tour that we have, and the first full audience tape from Australia at all. 'Bleed It Out' from that show is really cool in my opinion since Chester went out into the crowd with his red cast on (from his broken arm in Melbourne, which we'll get to later!). DSP's for that tour weren't initially released but were posted online earlier this year thankfully. An interesting note about that show is that Shadowfax (an old LPL staff member) and I pushed to get LPLive 2.0 released on that day (October 22, 2007) because he was going to promote LPLive to Mike at the LPU M&G! So we launched that day before the show. Linkin Park's first performance in Brisbane came in 2001 at the Festival Hall (no show page)...they played the city again in 2003 (no show page either) at the RNA Showgrounds for the Livid Festival. Altogether, this is their fourth show in the city. The band has only been to Australia three times before - in 2001 for three shows (plus one in New Zealand), in 2003 for three shows (featuring them flying to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in between the Melbourne and Brisbane shows, haha), and in 2007 for seven shows (plus two in New Zealand). This is their largest tour there to date with NINE concerts, but New Zealand has unfortunately been left out. It is possible that New Zealand could be included on the Asian Tour in 2011, which will come after the North American Tour and before the summer European Tour. We'll see! The second LPU Summit will be held in Sydney on the 15th, read about that here. This will be a tour to follow on LPLive for sure since it's very possible that Jay-Z will come out for one or two shows. He is currently down under supporting U2 (lol?) on their "360 Australia / New Zealand Tour". Looking at those tour dates, you'll see that there are plenty of off days for Jay, meaning he COULD possibly come out at any of the below Linkin Park shows: - Newcastle, 4th Dec - Burswood, 7th Dec - Sydney (night 1), 11th Dec - Melbourne (night 1), 12th Dec - Sydney (night 2), 15th Dec (+ 2nd LPU Summit) - Canberra, 16th Dec Jay-Z hasn't been seen at a Linkin Park show since June 29, 2008 (show page here) in Milton Keynes, England (which was filmed for the band's "Road To Revolution" live CD/DVD). At that show, he did the same songs he did in New York City, NY @ Madison Square Garden on February 21, 2008 (show page here) with his SURPRISE guest appearance: half of "Numb/Encore" and all of "Jigga What/Faint" (w/ ext. outro). What shows, if any, do you think he'll come out at in Australia? LP usually takes advantage of these collaborations with Jay (see his surprise appearance in Holmdel, NJ in 2004). Chester recently mentioned in this interview that it's indeed possible. Along with the band likely playing several setlists, this should make for an exciting tour! So who's going to Boondall for the first show of the tour? SETLIST: 01. The Requiem 02. Wretches And Kings 03. Papercut 04. Given Up 05. New Divide 06. Faint 07. Empty Spaces 08. When They Come For Me 09. No More Sorrow 10. Jornada Del Muerto 11. Waiting For The End 12. Wisdom, Justice, And Love 13. Iridescent 14. Numb 15. The Radiance (Live Version) 16. Breaking The Habit 17. Shadow Of The Day 18. Crawling 19. One Step Closer ---------------------- 20. Fallout 21. The Catalyst 22. The Messenger (w/ Happy Birthday Brad) 23. In The End 24. What I've Done 25. Bleed It Out (APFMH over bridge)

Chicago is in the middle of the week. I could go to a US summit if it was on the weekend. But a mid week show is not good.
-
I don't think posting 1 song from a DSP is going to hurt anything.
-
Not having any cut off problems. I can send you corrected files if you need them. Good god that's awesome. LONG TIME since we've had that. I'll have to do some research. I'll do a post tomorrow about the upcoming Australia tour and include some Euro highlights, with that mentioned. London n2 set is pretty cool. Radiance into LOATR, lol. Fallout opening is odd. I guess next is Tel Aviv followed by SOUTH AMERICA.

A few of the latest DSP's (Digital Souvenir Packages) have had a couple of corrupted images. I uploaded them to the LPLive server for you guys to grab if you happened to download a DSP from the site with corrupted pictures. I was told these are OK to post, so here we go. Herning, Denmark (Oct 30): chester.guitar.jpg cover.jpg Zürich, Switzerland (Nov 1): chester.jpg joe.jpg Birmingham, England (Nov 9): cover.jpg View the directory of the images here. If you have any other requests for corrupted images from DSPs, drop a comment to this post and I'll fulfill it. DSP discussion on the 16 (as of this post time) that have been released can be found here. Thanks to michalangelo for helping me with this.

The samples at the end of Papercut are much more distinguished/louder in the mix (the ones most people didn't even know about until the Smokeout 03 video of it was released) now. That's another one. Correct.

It's up. Thread closed.

Berlin and Paris are the best in my opinion. Berlin because the first show always is great, Paris because of APFMH. Talking-wise, Birmingham is great. Looking forward to South America after Tel Aviv. Thanks for all of them. Listened to London n2 today. Sweet set.

Downloading these...thanks for the uploads.
