  1. I think it's weird they don't put the Mexico shows up but put up South America lol
  2. The third show out of five on the LIVING THINGS South American Tour takes Linkin Park to Citibank Hall in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a city they've never played in before. This will be the first time LP has ever played two shows in Brazil in one year (and even on one tour, and one touring CYCLE). The band will actually headline this venue for two shows in a row (the 8th and the 10th), the first time they have done that since 2011 at Chiba, Japan's Makuhari Messe venue. This will be a rare case (since 2010) of the band playing two nights at a venue and not hosting an LPU Summit, probably because they just had an epic one in Camden in August. The last show of the tour was in São Paulo, Brazil, the first time LP had played Brazil since 2010. US Set A made an appearance (opening with 'TINFOIL' and 'Faint') after Buenos Aires on the 5th had US Set B (opening with 'A Place For My Head'). We assume that this show will have US Set C ('With You' opening), but you never know with Linkin Park...they are unpredictable and could play any set at this show! Anyway, the crowd last night was absolutely incredible (I'm sure most of you saw that if you watched the live stream). Here's a video of 'Numb' from the webcast (waiting on a HD TV source to surface in the next few days) with Mike playing a keyboard intro to the song that you might recognize as the outro he used to play on 'Numb' in 2007, 2008 and 2009 to transition into the next song (usually 'Pushing Me Away' (Piano Version)' or 'Breaking The Habit'). Who from LPLive is going to the show? M&G for anyone? Remember that DSPs were just confirmed for the South American Tour, so we will definitely get to hear these great performances again. After this show, Linkin Park returns to this venue on the 10th before closing the tour in Porto Alegre on the 12th. For the full 2012 tour schedule including past setlists and more, click here. SETLIST: 01. A Place For My Head (Long Intro, NO Ext. Outro) 02. Given Up (Ext. Outro w/ Extra Note) 03. New Divide 04. With You ( 2012 Ext. Intro; Ext. Scratch Outro) 05. Somewhere I Belong (2012 Intro) 06. IN MY REMAINS 07. VICTIMIZED (w/ QWERTY) 08. Points Of Authority 09. LIES GREED MISERY 10. Waiting For The End (Apaches Intro w/ 'Until It Breaks' rap; Ext. Outro) 11. Breaking The Habit 12. LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent (Ballad Medley) 13. The Catalyst 14. LOST IN THE ECHO (2012 Intro) 15. Crawling (first verse acapella) 16. In The End 17. Numb (Outro 'Numb/Encore' lyrics tease (Mike & Chester) 18. What I've Done 19. BURN IT DOWN 20. Bleed It Out (Ext. Bridge w/ Beastie Boys 'Sabotage'; Ext. Outro) -------------------------------- 21. TINFOIL 22. Faint (Ext. Outro) 23. Lying From You / Papercut (Medley) 24. One Step Closer (Ext. Outro) - There was a problem with the keyboard after 'LOST IN THE ECHO', so the band moved 'In The End' up to after it. Before they played 'In The End' due to the crowd yelling for it all night, Chester sang the first verse of 'Crawling' a capella. Setlist picture HERE.
  3. Yeah definitely looking for an HD rip of the TV broadcast. The webcast was good but I'm sure the TV broadcast was a lot better....
  4. Wow what an amazing crowd. Great show last night! I watched most of it (missed the first like 25 mins) on my iPhone in bed and I was really surprised how loud (and big) the crowd was. Band was in great shape. I'll say it again - they feed off of the crowd and last night was no exception. I actually thought Papercut was in this encore so In The End kinda bummed me out LOL but otherwise wow, best Sabotage I've seen from Chester yet. The band interacting with the "TV announcer" on the side of the stage was hilarious too. A+ job Brazil.
  5. Great. Can't wait to hear these crowds. Last night's show was amazing. Monterrey I'm looking forward to as well.
  6. The quality is surprisingly pretty good. Band looks great. HUGE crowd. Dang, no Game Of Thrones proshot haha, ouch.
  7. Updated the main post with a video. If you find more, keep posting them
  8. 5 and a half hours. 5.5. 2:30pm EST now and it goes live at 8:00pm EST.
  9. Can't wait for the stream tonight!
  10. Added IMR and GU to the main post. Are there multiple versions being broadcasted or something? lol. Kind of confused as to where GU and IMR came from.
  11. Linkin Park's first show in Mexico since 2002, a headlining show at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico on September 12th (show page here) was partially shown on MTV Latin America for MTV World Stage on Friday, October 5th. This is the best quality available SO FAR, but hopefully an HD rip will surface soon. If you have one, simply leave a reply to this post or head to our media section in our forums! We thought we'd make this a Newswire thread so people can enjoy the video from an awesome show put on by the band. Songs shown on MTV World Stage from Monterrey: 01. A Place For My Head 02. New Divide 03. Somewhere I Belong 04. Points Of Authority 05. LIES GREED MISERY 06. LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent 07. LOST IN THE ECHO 08. BURN IT DOWN 09. In The End 10. Bleed It Out 11. One Step Closer Simply one of the best crowds we have seen for Linkin Park in quite some time! What do you all think? And wow, an AMAZING version of 'A Place For My Head'! We are very excited to hear the DSP from this show when it becomes available. 10/7 EDIT: 'IN MY REMAINS' and 'Given Up' from the MTV World Stage website can be viewed below. These songs were not a part of the TV broadcast, but can be found online. Enjoy!
  12. Wow, best APFMH I've seen in a long time.
  13. On to Brazil! The second show of Linkin Park's South American Tour for LIVING THINGS comes in São Paulo, Brazil at Arena Anhembi. The very first show the band ever played in Brazil was in São Paulo in September 2004 (show page here), where they played a PACKED Morumbi Stadium. Actually over 80,000 people attended that show, yes you read that correctly!! Their first show in Brazil since 2004, 2010's SWU Festival was held in Itú (show page here), about an hour and a half from Sao Paulo. The performance at Arena Anhembi will be the band's third show in Brazil and first since 2010. And an interesting fact is that the same opening band LP had in 2004 in Brazil (Charlie Brown Jr.) will be opening this show! Here's a very oldschool video (from the 2004 show) of Mike talking to reporters about 'Step Up' being included in the setlist and a short video of 'Papercut': At the last show in Buenos Aires, the band played US Set B, which opens with 'A Place For My Head'. Due to the crowd being rowdy, they stopped 'New Divide' before the breakdown and Chester gave a lengthy speech to the crowd about picking up fans that had fallen down. We will post a video of that when one becomes available. I'm sure that was a really intense concert! What setlist do you think São Paulo will have? US Set A ('TINFOIL' and 'Faint' opening)? This show is scheduled to be broadcasted online and on TV by Multishow (website HERE). The show kicks off around 9pm in Brazil, meaning 8pm EST in the USA...so convert that for wherever you are in the world! Who from LPLive is headed to the show? M&G for any fans? After this show, Linkin Park plays Rio de Janeiro on the 8th and the 10th for two shows both at Citibank Hall. The South American Tour ends on the 12th in Porto Alegre at Gigantinho. For the full 2012 tour schedule including past setlists and upcoming shows, click here. SETLIST: 01. TINFOIL 02. Faint (Ext. Outro) 03. Papercut 04. Given Up (Ext. Outro w/ Extra Note) 05. With You (2012 Ext. Intro; Ext. Scratch Outro) 06. Somewhere I Belong (2012 Intro) 07. IN MY REMAINS 08. New Divide 09. VICTIMIZED (w/ QWERTY) 10. Points Of Authority 11. LIES GREED MISERY 12. Waiting For The End (Apaches Intro w/ 'Until It Breaks' rap; Ext. Outro) 13. Breaking The Habit 14. LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent (Ballad Medley) 15. The Catalyst 16. LOST IN THE ECHO (2012 Intro) 17. Numb (Keyboard Intro; Outro 'Numb/Encore' lyrics tease (Mike)) 18. What I've Done (Sing-a-long Outro) 19. One Step Closer (Ext. Outro) ---------------------------------------------------- 20. BURN IT DOWN 21. In The End 22. Bleed It Out (Ext. Bridge w/ Beastie Boys 'Sabotage'; Ext. Outro)
  14. Got them! Thanks so much!
  15. Wow, very interesting show...can't wait to hear the DSP.
  16. I guess this is cool for gamers but people that don't play video games will be like wtf lol. But I guess since they did it with EA that's a neat way to release it. Hope it's a good video!
  17. Bump since this is airing tomorrow.
  18. Linkin Park's South American Tour for LIVING THINGS kicks off on October 5th in Buenos Aires, Argentina at Estadio Gimnasia y Esgrima de Buenos Aires (aka Estadio G.E.B.A.). This is the first show in Argentina for Linkin Park since 2010, when they played Estadio José Amalfitani in Buenos Aires for the first show of THAT South American "Tour" - three shows total, hitting Argentina, Chile and Brazil. At that 2010 show, the band debuted a brand new setlist for the A Thousand Suns World Tour, playing 'Empty Spaces', 'When They Come For Me', 'Wisdom, Justice, & Love', 'The Radiance' (the remix with vocals from 'The Catalyst' and Mike's keyboard part), and all for the first time! Wow! One thing about that show was that it was unusually quiet, with fans chanting mid-show about how the sound should be turned up. Ever since the Buenos Aires show was announced this year, Argentinian LP fans have been talking with Pooch via Twitter about the sound limitation. Apparently the promoter limited the sound for the band in 2010 and will again do it this year even though fans are reporting other bands playing in the city aren't having the same problem. Regardless, we are still glad LP can perform in Argentina with or without a sound restriction! Hopefully the sound limitations can be changed before they return in the future, too. Anyway, the crowd was pretty crazy (like they are at all South American LP shows, of course)...check that out in this proshot video of 'Papercut' from Buenos Aires in 2010: Mike recently confirmed in the LPU chat room that the band will keep the current three setlists until the end of the year, so expect the ones from the Honda Civic Tour to be used in South America and later in South Africa this year too. And that's not a bad thing - these setlists kick ass and are some of the best ones LP has used in years (in our opinion, at least)! So who's going to the show from LPLive? Did anyone get a M&G? Any predictions on which setlist this show will get? After this show, the band goes to Brazil for four shows, starting with São Paulo on the 7th. For the full 2012 tour schedule including past setlists and upcoming show dates, click here. SETLIST: 01. A Place For My Head (Long Intro; Ext. Outro) 02. Given Up (Ext. Outro w/ Extra Note) 03. New Divide (Aborted) 04. Numb (Outro 'Numb/Encore' lyrics tease (Mike) 16. What I've Done 17. BURN IT DOWN 18. In The End 19. Bleed It Out (Ext. Bridge w/ Beastie Boys 'Sabotage'; Ext. Outro) —----------------------------- 20. TINFOIL 21. Faint (Ext. Outro) 22. Lying From You / Papercut (Medley) 23. One Step Closer (Ext. Outro) - 'New Divide' was aborted right before the breakdown due to the crowd being rowdy. Chester sang part of it a cappella after that then gave a speech to the crowd. "If someone falls down, pick 'em up!" Then they played 'With You'. Setlist picture HERE thanks to maik_gianino. Video of 'New Divide' being aborted:
  19. Thanks Jonas, very appreciated...totally forgot, you're right haha.
  20. This is a legit fact. Shinoda specifically wanted to know the EXACT versions of demos the fans had, ALL of them. And that's why Esaul/Untitled were different on the last LPU CD. He's pretty good about that. I think the WID remix was a legit thing where they didn't remember/realize we already had it. Whoever decided to put on Across The Line to the LPU9 CD, wow. Holy grail of demos there. That song...dang. So good. LPU9 is a great CD.
  21. Well... in summary I liked the RAC remix of BID better than the original song...disliked the next few remixes a lot. Then the UIB remix was just awesome. Roads Untraveled is ok, not a big fan of the rap part. Doesn't overtake UIB for me. BID remix is pretty good.
  22. Yeah scanning a picture for us from your printer isn't the same thing as when they scan you to enter the show lol. When you enter the show they scan the barcode with a little machine that validates it and lets you in. Scanning just the whole ticket with your scanner/printer just basically takes a high quality picture of the ticket, doesn't do anything but take a good pic.
  23. I'm not familiar with that device. Isn't it just some kind of preset on his keyboard? He sings Fallout from the keyboard but sings Requiem from backstage....I think they just took the effect they used in the studio and make it a setting on his keyboard for him and he sings it. They do that for VICTIMIZED for him, The Catalyst, Fallout, I THINK Blackout, I would assume Requiem too.
  24. Now this is very true. I like FM a lot, DBS not so much but I'd rather have new LP. Anyway YES about Camp Freddy. You can really tell Chester enjoys that type of music more than Linkin Park music and there's no doubt about that at all. Watch him perform the rock music with Camp Freddy and watch him perform with LP. No comparison about what the man simply enjoys more lol. I know he loves LP and all but his love of music primarily comes from the classic rock genre. He owns the shit live. His Camp Freddy performances are amazing and that's why they keep bringing him back for more, people know he jams big and sounds GREAT. Best live video I've ever seen of Chester: 5:00 the man is JAMMING VERY BIG. Looks like he is having the time of his life. Then Bullet With Butterfly Wings ( ) JESUS the man owns the song. And sounds GREAT here too on Highway To Hell: Camp Freddy with Chester is an amazing group...I'd pay big money to see that perform live, more than I'd pay to see LP honestly even though I love LP. Chester performing the classic rock songs...his voice just fits them so perfectly and he sounds amazing. Great stuff...wish he'd do more Camp Freddy shows. /end rant of how awesome Camp Freddy and Chester are together
  25. Very interesting find. How did you come across that? I think it's weird the only ones I see missing are both Auckland shows. Maybe they were pulled?
