  1. If I were in Chester's shoes though I'd be so fucking tired of those songs that I'd be begging the band to do something different lol
  2. I 100% agree. At this point if they just kept APFMH (which Chester and Mike seem to fucking love) I can deal with ITE and OSC being dropped. OSC is such a monster live but I legit wouldn't want them playing it if they feel obligated to. Don't play what you don't want to. Just because its a big song doesn't mean you have to play it. When they dropped it in 2011 at a few shows I got the hint they were probably tired of it. My question is how can they still play Numb lol? They've played the studio version for so long.....
  3. Off of ATS I think live they should just play BITS and Blackout. Catalyst was overplayed, WFTE needs a break even though its sounding good, and there's not much else off the record I think comes off well. I wish they'd just drop the ballad medley. The sampled vocals on Iridescent really bug me. I'd take the 19 song SSMF setlist with RME over BIO all day long versus the 20 song setlist with the Ballad Medley and no RME over BIO in Tokyo. Those are two really big differences to me.
  4. Not really. They play the old singles whether they like them or not because they feel obligated to. They don't play the non singles for the hardcore fans or else APFMH and With You would have come back ages ago. They play POA because its very obvious the full band jams on that and likes it. They said in 2012 they asked the crew for ideas to change it up and the crew said bring back older songs. So they worked up APFMH, With You and Runaway and brought back POA and SIB. I am still surprised With You is in there but they drop something like IN MY REMAINS or WTCFM. Runaway was dropped after Europe because Chester legit fucking hates playing that song live. That's why it's gone. They play what they want. They don't do it for us lol. Remember all the M&Gs on PR07 and Australia 07 we had people at that asked for APFMH? It didn't return until 2008 and was dropped again. But now they seem to LOVE playing it. If they were playing what the hardcore fans wanted they'd be playing Reading My Eyes in full, P5hng remix, Figure.09, etc. All these non single HT songs came out of nowhere but they seem to love playing them right now. They must have gotten bored of IMR really fast. Notice they aren't playing any non single Meteora songs right now. LP does what they want and right now they are in a phase to play some older HT songs and then almost all singles + LGM. I am shocked they like LGM so much when stuff like WTCFM is about 100x better live lol
  5. Na man why would you think that? lol LP isn't going to play that song, they didn't even have enough time to rehearse it before this tour. Same set for Osaka I'm sure.
  6. I need as much Hybrid Theory as possible. Chester and Mike at least LOVE that shit. They have been jamming really big lately on those songs. APFMH, Papercut, POA, With You. LOVE it.
  7. Hope they stream Muse, their Osaka setlist was fucking epic. Bring on Bellamy!! http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/muse/2013/ma...an-bc6c956.html Not one dud in the entire set. Wow.
  8. Listen to those fucking screams on Bleed It Out! Wow!! The band is jamming. Add ext intro and ext bridge to BIO. Brad and Chester talk about something then Chester decides to sing BIO chorus as usual. Looks like they contemplated doing something else. This might be good news for the rest of the tour.
  9. The crowd is fucking JAMMING on the first three songs. Holy cow the place is exploding on Given Up. Awesome crowd for the band. LP sounds great. What a shame they aren't touring more in 2013. Ever since they got their live energy back in 2012 for the LT touring cycle, they've been sounding great on stage and really rocking big time. Chester on that Given Up outro...oh yes.
  10. Yeah every show has that just about, for media/press purposes. But we don't see 99% of those videos. Only clips used for the news reports and stuff, which turns out to be a few seconds or something. We do get a few though. That's interesting they webcasted the first three songs though. I'll take it because they'll probably play more on TV at a later point.
  11. What is this, some sort of webcast?
  12. Reading My Eyes over BIO... .....AAAAAAND IT'S GONE.
  13. I fell asleep right before the band started their set and woke up like 30 mins later. I updated the set maybe 30~ mins or so after that (when Metallica and Muse were still on), then fell back asleep. Woke up to 32 twitter texts lol. I said damn.
  14. He is listed on the Tokyo lineup but not listed on the Osaka lineup. Do we have any idea how those proshot songs got on YouTube so quickly? Was the show broadcasted live on TV or online somewhere? The person says they have more too so it appears that it wasn't just the first three songs.
  15. On the 11th, Linkin Park completes their first back-to-back shows for the first time since March, when they did it in Australia. The band will be playing at Osaka's Maishima Summer Sonic Site for their second and final show at this year's Summer Sonic. This will be Linkin Park's third appearance at Summer Sonic in Osaka, with the others coming in 2006 and 2009. The band's last show in Osaka was on September 16, 2011, almost two years ago (show page here). At the Tokyo Summer Sonic show, the band played a 20 song festival setlist, which was the same set as Sunset Strip Music Festival except with 'LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent' (Ballad Medley) added to the middle. Somehow, the first three songs ('A Place For My Head', 'Papercut', and 'Given Up') were posted as a proshot video on YouTube almost immediately after the performance, with the uploader promising more shortly. Was the show broadcasted live on Japanese television? Check those out here: Additionally, the brand new song that the band has been talking about recently has finally debuted! 'A Light That Never Comes', a song by Linkin Park and Steve Aoki, was played during Steve's Summer Sonic Tokyo set, with Mike and Chester joining him on stage. For more information about the collaboration, which will be debuted on Linkin Park's LP Recharge game, click here. As far as we can tell, Steve will not be performing at the Osaka Summer Sonic show. In Osaka, Linkin Park will play just before Metallica like they did in Tokyo. This is interesting as this is the band's first Summer Sonic appearance where they have played essentially their entire show in the afternoon before the sun sets. LP will play the Ocean Stage after Fall Out Boy, Bullet For My Valentine, Maximum The Hormone, Perfume, Volbeat and Crossfaith. There will be some sort of live stream of Summer Sonic on the 11th, but the website says that it will happen from the Tokyo site, which is where Muse is playing. The live stream starts on the 11th at 6:00pm JST for all fans OUTSIDE of Japan. More information can be found on the festival website (http://www.summersonic.com) and the trailer for the live stream can be viewed It is possible that we will get a few Linkin Park songs, it's possible that we will get no Linkin Park songs, and it's possible that they'll stream the entire LP Tokyo set. We really have no idea until it begins, so keep an eye out for LP on the webcast. After this show, Linkin Park plays their first show in Manila, Philippines since 2004 on August 13th. Shows in Hong Kong (with the 9th LPU Summit), Taipei and Kuala Lumpur close out the short six show tour. For the full 2013 tour schedule, click here. SETLIST: 01. TINFOIL 02. Faint (Ext. Outro) 03. Papercut 04. Given Up (Ext. Outro w/ Extra Note) 05. With You (2012 Ext. Intro; Ext. Scratch Outro) 06. New Divide 07. Points Of Authority 08. LIES GREED MISERY 09. Waiting For The End (Apaches Intro w/ 'UNTIL IT BREAKS' v2; Wall Of Noise Outro) 10. Breaking The Habit 11. CASTLE OF GLASS 12. LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent (Ballad Medley) 13. Setlist picture here.
  16. Interesting. Hope the song is good. Wow, epic setlist by Muse, great setlist by Metallica and a solid setlist by LP (except the medley). And then a collaboration. Not bad.
  17. I think you didn't understand that LPTV. That's Digby, their tour manager, they asked. Not Linkin Park management. Jim is who makes sure last minute stuff like that can be done. In order for the band to change something like that right before the show, they have to get with AT LEAST Pooch (who does the sound), the lighting guy (new guy, no idea what his name is now that AJ left), and Dylan (who starts the click tracks for every single song the band plays except the piano songs). Changes have to be made to gear to remove a song and incorporate another. Jim is the one that makes sure it can be done and who instructs them to make it happen, similar to Papercut opening in Atlanta 2011 instead of Wretches & Kings. Mike says "Jim, the show is soon, but can we make this last minute change? Is it possible?" and Jim says "Yes, let's do it." It's not a case of Mike saying "Hi LP mgmt, can we plz play a non-single????" That's not it at all. LP management as far as I know gets zero say in what the band plays live. LP decides the setlists. For instance I believe it's mainly Mike that insists on playing so many singles consistently "because what's what most of the crowd wants to hear" - he even said it in an LPU chat in 2011.
  18. Sorry about that.....
  19. Updated the main post with the set. It was the same thing SSMF got plus Ballad Medley. I think for once it's better with 19 songs instead of 20, lol. Now there's a low point of the set.
  20. The Wake Up show performance is going on the Mike Shinoda page when 5.0 launches. We will have a Chester page, Mike page and now a Joe page because of the DJ events he has done.
  21. You're talking about Osaka? There isn't a webcast for Tokyo.
  22. Mike said the LIVING THINGS touring cycle is over after Asia. This is it. The last 6 shows. I highly doubt anything else will debut live off of the album. LP will be in the studio working on the new album. The LPU winner flies out to LA at the beginning of October. No way LP takes a break in Nov/Dec to tour. I think after Asia, the next legit tour the band will do will be after February. Maybe March or April at the very earliest. I think it'll take a while to make the album. Chester is going out with STP in September, LP is hitting the studio hardcore in October. And it's very unlikely they'll play anything new in Asia. It took the band two weeks of rehearsals in order to get CASTLE OF GLASS ready. They rehearsed for just four days for SSMF and Asia.
  23. I wonder if the secret Mike is referring to in the Huffington Post article is about new music.
  24. Thank you Chester for finally giving us an update on The Mall. I guess Mike's secret didn't last long, haha. Sounds cool, I wonder how they'll release it.
