  1. I think they must pay huge money. I don't think Rock Am Ring or Download or anyone else wants to pay that kind of money to broadcast the show. I bet By Myself and Forgotten are only played once on this tour. Maybe they'll stick around for Carnivores if they want to make each of the three setlists really unique.
  2. On May 30th, Linkin Park kicks off their short nine-show European Tour by headlining the popular Rock In Rio in Lisboa, Portugal. Sound familiar? It might, because if you've been with us for the past few years, you'll know that the 2012 European Tour kicked off at Rock In Rio as well! Linkin Park played the festival for the first time in 2008 for the second show of the 2008 European Tour. In 2007, LP performed before Pearl Jam at Oeiras Alive! in Lisboa and stuck around to watch the Pearl Jam set on the side of the stage. The last show of the 2003 European Tour (canceled in June; made up in September) was at Lisboa's Pavilhão Atlântico (the first Linkin Park show in Portugal) and the last show in Europe in 2004 was at Super Bock Super Rock in Lisboa, where Korn, Muse, and Static-X opened for the band. Not bad, eh? The only other city Linkin Park has performed in Portugal was Portimao in 2009, when they performed at a racetrack for Rock One for the last show in Europe in 2009. This will be LP's sixth show in Lisboa and seventh show in Portugal. Anyway, what do both of the last two shows in Lisboa have in common? They both debuted new setlists for the band! 2008's Set Y and 2012's Festival Set were debuted in Lisboa, coincidentally. The band's show in Tucson, AZ on May 24th resulted in quite a different setlist than what we are used to. Linkin Park divided the show into three "acts", which indicates to us that the last portion of the setlist will be used as an encore at the headlining, non-festival shows. Songs were mashed up, new medleys were debuted, Joe and Mike both got a "solo" portion of the show for the first time, and many songs were shortened. New intros and outros were added as well, and Guilty All The Same, Until It's Gone and Wastelands all received their live debuts. All of this combined resulted in the LARGEST show page we have ever had for a Linkin Park show on the site. A huge shoutout goes to Astat for helping us figure out how to list the (complicated) setlist - we are pretty confident on what we have for Tucson and will stick with that for the upcoming shows. We don't expect Rock In Rio 2014 to feature a new setlist, though. With the band only doing eight shows in Europe before Download and the set having so many transitions and mashups/medleys, we think they will use the Tucson setlist again. It is possible, though, that something will change and that we are wrong. We'll just have to follow the tour to find out! Whatever show that By Myself and Forgotten are performed at...they will be the largest "liberations" that the band has ever done. Here's the stats for those remaining Hybrid Theory songs: Forgotten (Last played Feb 24, 2002) By Myself (Last played Oct 29, 2003) Pushing Me Away (Last played Aug 21, 2008) Cure For The Itch (Last played Aug 30, 2011; remixed) Performing before the band at this festival are Queens Of The Stone Age and Capital Inicial, with Steve Aoki playing after the LP set, so you can expect some sort of A Light That Never Comes collaboration in his set. The full lineup can be viewed here. Lisboa is known for it's recent, excellent broadcasts of the concerts and the last three shows by Linkin Park there have resulted in full, proshot videos of the performances that were both webcasted and shown on television by SIC Radical. There was a bit of a scare in 2012 as the station didn't get permission to show the LP set until just an hour before the band took the stage. However, 2014 will be no exception as SIC Radical has already obtained permission from the band to air the show and has confirmed the broadcast on their Facebook page. Rest of the world: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dtUFeD7tn4 Once a DVD of this show pops up, we will post about it and let you know as always. There will also be a few people recording select European Tour shows as the band is not doing its DSP (Digital Souvenir Package) program anymore. We will also be linking up those recordings to download as soon as they become available! We'd like to thank everyone who records the LP shows and shares them! After this show, the band goes to Russia for two headline shows in St. Petersburg and Moscow on June 1st and 2nd. Six shows follow throughout Europe after that. For the list of 2014 tour dates and where the band will be playing, check out our 2014 tour page here.
  3. It doesn't sound like Mike to me. Might be Alec, or I might be wrong. Maybe Rob and Brad didn't work on it because Alec did the drums and Mike did the guitars.
  4. Our friends at Wretches And Kings have found the official trailer for Joe Hahn's movie entitled "Mall". As we all know by now, Linkin Park worked on creating both the score and the soundtrack for the movie. However, the trailer confirms that it is just Chester, Joe, Phoenix, Mike and Alec Puro (drummer for Deadsy) that have created the music. The rough translation of the YouTube video description: "The American Dream ... is long gone , what he once was! Startlingly honest and unvarnished shows the Linkin Park production MALL - THE HUNTING PARTY chance encounter five American suburbanites in a shopping mall , which ends in a fiasco from drug intoxication and social violence . Joseph Hahn ( Linkin Park ) holds the American society to the mirror and accompanied this with an exceptional soundtrack! Supported by the excellent , acting performances by Cameron Monaghan (' Vampire Academy ' ), Peter Stormare ('The Last Stand ') and Vincent D' Onofrio (' Escape Plan ') is MALL - THE HUNTING PARTY a shocking film - far away from the American dream !" The description calls it "Mall - The Hunting Party". With a trailer coming out, it seems like the movie release date is closer than ever. Stay tuned!
  5. Wroclaw is on June 5th. I'd say it's too far away for LP to attend but the band can show up anywhere at any time lol, just look at the crazy touring schedule.
  6. The LP Underground has announced worldwide listening parties for The Hunting Party! "LPU HQ and WBR have teamed up to bring you exclusive THE HUNTING PARTY listening sessions in these cities below on June 4th, 2014:" Mexico City - Details Brussels - Details Oslo - Details Prague - Details Kuala Lumpur - Details Johannesburg - Details Madrid @ California Bear - Details Budapest - Details Berlin - Details NYC - Details Coming Soon LA - Details Coming Soon Other cities were attempted (like Sydney) but could not be scheduled at this time. These are the eleven final locations! Linkin Park has no show scheduled for June 4th, so we wouldn't put it past them to show up at one in Europe...but nothing is guaranteed of course - that's purely speculation. Who will be attending? EDIT: Kerrang! has a contest for a listening party in London on June 3rd: "On Tuesday 3rd June there will be an intimate and exclusive playback of the brand new Linkin Park record The Hunting Party (out June 16) in a location in North London, and you can win a chance to attend, hear the album in full and a few more surprises on top! All you need to do is send in your name, email address, age and contact telephone number to feedback@kerrang.com with the subject line Linkin Park Listening Party to be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets for you and a friend. Easy!"
  7. It's that time again! In a new feature on LPLive 5.0, you can now take a quick glance at the touring year pages and see what shows we have tickets for. Thanks to YOU over the past few years, we have over 642 show tickets on LPLive! That's over 2,227 pics in over 602 albums right now. Right now we are specifically looking for tickets for Linkin Park's upcoming European Tour before it kicks off. If you're seeing the band in/at Rock in Rio Lisboa, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Wroclaw, Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, Milano, Greenfield and/or Download then we need your help! UPDATE: We are looking for CARNIVORES TOUR tickets! We want YOUR tickets (preferably scanned, but a good quality picture does work) for the show pages. We are asking now before the tour starts since many of you have your tickets already and they will be in mint condition. *Please note that we are not posting anyone's tickets until AFTER the show has been completed (to eliminate any risk/hazard). Please submit your images to us via email at pics(AT)lplive(DOT)net. For everyone else, back in November 2013 we launched our Projekt: Ticket Stubs campaign. If you have a moment, take a quick glance at the list and help us out if you can! Other things we are taking: (LP, DBS, JK, FM, any band we cover on LPL) - Show pictures - Ticket scans/pictures - Upgrades of pictures we already have on the site - M&G wristbands, VIP wristbands, GA pit wristbands, any kind of wristbands or passes - Show posters - Anything that we don't already have on LPLive that has to do with the show We will ask again once the tour is over since people accumulate passes/wristbands/etc at the shows as well. Thanks everyone!
  8. I am 99.9% sure they will use the Tucson setlist for the first eight shows in Europe. The festivals I bet won't get an encore and the headlining shows will get one. No encore Tucson set: Lisboa Rock am Ring Rock im Park Greenfield Encore Tucson set: St. Petersburg Moscow Wroclaw Milano and Download gets its own setlist.
  9. Since there is a crazy amount of confusion about the DVDs with THP, I'll wait a little longer before moving a news post with the DVD contents. Apparently both Carson and Monterrey are being released?
  10. I am surprised the setlist for this tour doesn't include Forgotten or By Myself...those will really be one-offs. Pushing Me Away too. Hope they nail them! Great interview!
  11. $90 seems like a lot. Wasn't it $50 before? I'll have to see what the activities are. I think it sucks the USA ones don't ever get the "walk on stage" or "LPU jam band" feature...which seems like the best thing at the Summits to me. I know on HCT it was because of Incubus. I'll see about attending this one in Darien Center. Yeah I heard there aren't many tickets for Woodlands remaining. That's a great venue though, I love that amphitheater. The activities the day before are great. Barbeque with the LP crew? Wow, fuckin' sweet! Pooch will jam with fans and Digby too...fans love them.
  12. Yep good catch Skipees; we are able in 5.0 to have longer notes. Thank God we upgraded when we did or we'd be screwed in 4.0 for this show, haha.
  13. "The LP Underground will be hosting the 10th International LPU Summit on August 21st, 2014 at The Darien Center in New York and the 11th International LPU Summit at The Woodlands in Texas on September 5th, 2014." There will be two Summits on Carnivores, which will be the first time that the band has done two in one tour! Details on both Summits are below and there will be an LPU Meetup the day before the Darien Center one at the amusement park and a Music For Relief volunteering activity the day before the Woodlands one. The exact Summit activities for each show (walk across the stage and/or LPU jam band, acoustic performance or soundcheck, lottery/raffle, backstage tour etc) are *NOT* announced yet. 14. Wow what the fuck happened on Points? I know it's the first show but that's the worst Points performance I've ever heard lol I'm saving my comments on the full set until I have a full recording of a show and/or see the Lisbon broadcast. I like a lot of it so far.
  15. Added ALTNC and LITE notes. Only missing Crawling and New Divide now.
  16. Hmm. Jonas? I don't care how it is.
  17. We won't know how long this show is until we have a full recording. Luckily we have some tapers getting the Euro shows. Hopefully Lisbon is webcasted. Anything that is played either partial or full is listed. Crawling acapella in Brazil in 2012, etc. LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent. There is only so much room in the set notes. "V1" for verse 1. Anything that is abbreviated will be mentioned in every show note (except the ballad medley). Don't worry. Lisbon will have notes about both medleys, etc. Not many people know all the abbreviations for song names so we will explai on every page.
  18. We count partial songs and always have. Be Yourself, Hands Held High acapella,
  19. Sublime is who posted about it I believe, right?
  20. Done. I added that note, tidied up a few more. For Mike I put Mike solo medley w/ Joe. That'll be good for now I guess. Or I can put Mike and Joe Medley. I want it called a Medley there but I'm up for changing what it's exactly called. I guess we won't know about the end of the set and the POA intro until Lisbon. Is there an encore break after Faint?
  21. http://lplive.net/shows/db/2014/20140524 Holy show page. Still not done because we need the videos of the end of the setlist. If they continue this for the THP World Tour, then we'll be in for one hell of a time dissecting these shows lol
  22. Astat I did a few things differently from what you listed. I'm adding more show notes and I'll add the Numb first verse guitar thing. I added Blackout and Robot Boy for their own songs since they perform a good portion of those live. You're missing Ext Intro and Ext Ending on Bleed It Out. I put more info for Papercut, With You, and Runaway. Joe has his own solo medley and I figured I'd do the same for Mike. It'd make no sense to have one and not the other. I'll make sure to explain in the show notes. Check the page - that's the latest setlist I've used.
  23. Oh wow. Now I'm thinking I'll do a Joe Solo Medley and a Mike Solo Medley entry into the setlist. Blackout into Papercut is great. Blackout: Shortened (Intro and Partial Bridge Only) Robot Boy: Shortened (Intro, Synth Bridge, and Ending Only) Papercut: No Second Verse or Second Chorus With You: same as Papercut? Runaway: Through First Chorus Only Thoughts?
  24. Instead of taking so many clips and samples of songs I think something like this would have worked really well: Points of authority (new intro) Guilty all the same From the inside > No more sorrow (long intro) Victimized w/ qwerty Papercut (blackout intro) Wretches & kings With you (scratch 2012 intro) > Runaway (wastelands transition outro) > Wastelands Lying from you By myself Robot boy jam Castle of glass experience Waiting for the end (apaches, outro) > Numb (numb/encore intro/outro) Crawling (krwlng intro) What I've done (ext bridge solo) ------------- Lost in the echo (long 2014 intro) A place for my head (ext) One step closer (ext outro) Faint (new intro, ext outro) Drop new divide, burn it down, a light that never comes, until it's gone, ballad medley, bleed it out, and given up. Add no more sorrow, by myself, wretches and kings, a place for my head, from the inside, and victimized w/ qwerty. Open with points and put guilty all the same second.
