  1. Dmitry has fixed loading times across the whole site! Thank you so much to him. The wiki now is super fast. If you haven't checked it out, be sure to take a look
  2. I think since his back is in bad shape he just skipped it for this show. Not sure about Russia. I thought he did it at Lisboa though.
  3. I hope they do a 2012 special like last time. That is an amazing show!
  4. http://www.rock-im-park.com/spielplan 21:20 which is 9:20 minus six which is 3:20 EST, so 1 hour and 20 mins. One of the latest preshow posts I've done - sorry about that.
  5. On the 8th, Linkin Park plays the sixth show of their current European Tour in Nürnberg, Germany at Rock im Park. This festival is held at Volkspark Dutzendteich. This will be the band's fifth show at Rock im Park, but it will be only their fourth different year playing there. The first show at Rock im Park for LP came in June 2001 on their US-to-Europe Tour, a chaotic little tour that took them around the world performing a mix of festivals and headlining shows. Linkin Park played a nice little thirteen song set at Frankenstadion earlier in the day and was later asked to fill in for Slipknot on the side stage (Eishalle) at a 1:00am time slot, because Slipknot had literally disappeared after their show the night before in Bremen. At this show, Linkin Park had a lot of fun and changed the setlist up to open with A Place For My Head and Forgotten for the Slipknot fans. By the end of the show, they had won the crowd over and even Fred from Limp Bizkit had come out at three points during the set. Drunken fun for everyone, we suppose! Since they skipped Rock im Park in 2004 to headline Download, the next Linkin Park show at Rock im Park was not until 2007. That show and their next appearance in 2012 proved to be hits with the German crowds, who were as crazy as ever at both shows. Last night on the 7th, the band played a very memorable show at Rock am Ring, which will be changing venues after this year. Marek Lieberberg (MLK, the famous German promoter) watched the show side stage with his family and was mentioned by Chester on Bleed It Out. All in all, the band performed very well and a rowdy crowd showed up (blowing the 2012 crowd out of the water) for the show. Jonas from LPLive staff got Mike to do a different verse on his solo medley and a verse from Hands Held High made an appearance! There are many highlights of the show, so just check it out for yourself if you haven't seen it yet. Downloads are in the forums in both the media section and the Rock am Ring show thread. Ten years and one day after they played an epic show at Rock am Ring 2004, Linkin Park closed the chapter on the festival at Nürburgring and hopefully will return in a few years to headline it again at its new location! We'd like to thank Thomas from BlackChester.de for including LPLive on the show flag for Rock am Ring that was displayed on Mike's keyboard! That's two Rock am Ring's in a row (2012 and 2014) that have featured LPLive on a flag on stage, both by Thomas! At Rock im Park, we expect the same setlist of course (only changing for Download), but we are interested to see if Mike changes the verse in his medley once again! After this show, Italy gets its first Linkin Park show since 2011 when the band plays Milano (last played in 2001!) on the 10th. Greenfield in Switzerland and Download in England follow to close out the tour. The full 2014 tour schedule can be found here.
  6. Sorry, slept forever last night. Preshow post coming now.
  7. Well Pooch nailed Rock am Ring. That sucks about Poland. I'll ask him about it for you. Good video. It sucks the seats are so obstructed view-wise with the angle. But you get the screens and the front of the stage too so fuck it it works. Let me know the source info and I'll get it added tomorrow.
  8. Sure. Fuck it. The CD will leak in the next 36 hours. Guaranteed.
  9. Final thoughts on this show: I think this crowd even beats the 2007 crowd there. The OSC and Faint crowds in 2007 were insane but this crowd consistently insane the whole show. I even saw moshpits on COG remix. GATS sounded on point. I still think it's a bit odd to open a show but it works. Given Up I think should be dropped for No More Sorrow. But I mean no COMPLAINTS on any of those songs. Chester was giving it his all, screaming everywhere. And then I see Thomas succeeded and got the flag on stage - hell yeah! The place was going fucking insane on Points and One Step Closer. Then Blackout > Papercut a bomb went off, haha. I wish they would have shown more of the crowd there! That shit was epic! The crowd was exploding and I was really loving what I was seeing. With You, Runaway and Wastelands were great. The set goes down hill starting with COG. It's like the flow is weird. The Germans know COG and love it, but the techno part is a bit odd after the huge heavy jams to start the show, and then the Ballad Medley is a true disaster right there. The band seemed super excited to play it tonight but I really dislike the song. All energy is gone and the crowd goes to sleep. SURPRISINGLY Chester's voice was the worst on SOTD there. Didn't see that coming at all. Robot Boy is next and I have to say that I absolutely LOVE these ATS interludes. I'm a huge fan of Blackout but I do know it must be hard for Chester to sing it every show. The fact that they play Blackout and Robot Boy in interlude form is A+++ to me. Shinoda completely jams on Robot Boy and is rocking the synth. I didn't realize until this show that Rob and Brad don't do anything on the track - it's all sampled except for Mike's piano and Mike's synth. Wow. I wouldn't change anything about the interludes since they absolutely kick ass. Adding vocals to Blackout (doing the breakdown to the ending of the song, for example) I guess would make the transition weird. Keep both of these in the setlist though, because at this point I'll take Robot Boy partial over In The End any day since it's rare, lol. That's how much something small like that means to me. I hope Robot Boy sticks around for Carnivores. Moving on past that rant... Joe's solo medley seems to be getting better (somehow). I like it a lot but I think the crowd is like WTF at it. Maybe put that in the encore #2 spot? Then the set goes downhill again with BID. Building it erp. I'd drop this crap all day long as I consider it one of the worst songs ever written by Linkin Park (ouch?) but that's just me. I'd rather hear Lost In The Echo in full there. Waiting For The End is a fucking FORCE live and it's becoming an anthem. Apaches Intro blows the fucking place up with Shinoda dropping verses like it's 1999 looking like a complete badass. They nail the song and the Wall of Noise outro is A+. Love WFTE now after I hated it on the ATS tour (the song has come a long way!). Mike's solo medley is great. He does that little instrumental beat thing before it over the Wretches Savio speech, which is cool. He's totally in control there. Then he runs full speed off of the keyboard to the stage to blow the fuck up on the Wretches verse. He turns the hat around and jams like it's a January 2006 Fort Minor tour. EPIC. And Hands Held High! Wow that's my favorite of the three verses so far, by far. It was like some gangster rap-sounding shit (yes I am still talking about HHH). Totally redid how the verse is delivered and it sounds incredible. Wow I'd really love to see that verse on Carnivores! And Joe lead it right into Numb/Encore, which was stellar and then into Numb which blew the crowd up. It might be the best Numb performance I have ever seen and I really disliked the song for many years. Just adding an intro and an outro makes it 100x better to me! ITE and Faint are classics, so no problem there. I'd drop ITE at this point but I'd much rather see it than Crawling so it's fine. UIG's intro is epic. I love that shit. UIG live really rocks it. The crowd doesn't know it but it's in a good spot in the set. I'd maybe do NMS w/ long intro to open the encore and then UIG after it, but it's ok. Then the setlist goes downhill for me, a lot. Why is there a need to play all these shortened versions of songs? It already sucks that Papercut is shortened and With You is shortened and Runaway is VERY shortened. I'd love to see the full versions of those tracks since they kick so much ass live. Drop Burn It Down and the Ballad Medley and there is room for all three of those Hybrid Theory songs in full. Ok well then it goes from ALTNC partial to LITE partial to Crawling partial to ND partial. Holy overload. Why is that necessary? Chester gets no break there and you can tell he starts to struggle vocally at this point in the show. Remember that this is just my opinion but wow I am not a fan at all. Drop ALTNC, ND and Crawling and perform Lost In The Echo and A Place For My Head in full there and we will be in GREAT shape. WID w/ solo is incredible and Rob's BIO drum solo is really great. I loved the extended BIO...the crowd singing Catalyst is awesome. If there isn't APFMH in full though then let's cut this Catalyst 3x operation and do it 2x w/ APFMH over BIO. Seems like an easy change that'll please a lot of people. Because who doesn't like the APFMH bridge over BIO? Haha. This crowd was stellar so I can't wait to see a DVD of this performance. The camera angles could have been better but I liked the show a lot. If I suggest anything to do to the setlist it would be: - Rotate Given Up and No More Sorrow, just to get NMS some play time. The crowds LOVE it. Maybe it'll come back on Carnivores. - Play Papercut, With You, Runaway in full. Drop Ballad Medley and Burn It Down for this to happen. - Keep rotating the Mike verse in his medley. He seems to be having fun doing it! Plus it's great to get some of this other material live! When was the last time a Hands Held High verse was even rapped live? 2009? - Fix the shortened encore nonsense. Let's get it like: Until It's Gone w/ intro, Lost In The Echo, A Place For My Head, What I've Done, Bleed It Out or something (all in full). No need for these shortened songs. Crawling is horrible. /endpost
  10. I think Mike did his research on LPLive before the show
  11. This show is blowing Rock In Rio away, wow.
  12. LPLive on the fucking flag! Holy shit I owe Thomas so big. GATS is ROLLING.
  13. Haha true. Show starts soon! Two hours-ish.
  14. Happy 10th anniversary to the best show I've seen by the band
  15. On June 7th, Linkin Park performs their fifth show of the European Tour at Rock am Ring in Germany at the famous Nürburgring venue. This will be a special show as it is the last edition of Rock am Ring at Nürburgring before the venue changes for 2015 and beyond. Linkin Park is booked to perform both Rock am Ring and Rock im Park this year (its sister festival) so they will play both of them back-to-back on the 7th and 8th. We'll have a little bit longer show post for this show since Rock am Ring is one of the most legendary festivals in the band's career. Linkin Park's first show at Rock am Ring came in 2001, when they had four scheduled European shows on the US-to-Europe Tour (Copenhagen, Rock im Park, Rock am Ring, and London). They performed a thirteen song setlist which included the infamous Be Yourself interlude and a short cover of Sweet Child O' Mine. The band was set to return in 2003, when Rock am Ring and Rock im Park were going to kick off the European Tour in June, but the entire tour had to be cancelled due to Chester being sick. We recently added lineups (including who replaced Linkin Park), pictures, and more to the cancelled 2003 shows, so take a look at the guide if you're interested in those shows. In 2004, Linkin Park returned to Rock am Ring and played one of their most popular shows in the band's history. Due to Download Festival being the same weekend (which almost never happens), LP couldn't play Rock im Park that year, but they did play really good shows at Download Festival and the inaugural Download Scotland show in Glasgow to kick off the tour. The Rock am Ring 2004 show was webcasted live, but WDR showed it on television in full just twice quite a while after the show. Warner Brothers/Linkin Park approved this recording before it was shown and it is rumored that Mike helped mix the audio for that show, which could explain why his "dirty laugh" on In The End was removed. In 2003, he mixed the Detroit MTV $2 Bill show for broadcast, so it's not an outrageous guess at him mixing Rock am Ring 2004 as well. And today is the TENTH anniversary of the Rock am Ring 2004 show! In 2007, Linkin Park returned to Rock am Ring and Rock im Park to headline both festivals for the first time ever. The Rock am Ring performance that year resonated VERY well with the fanbase and the performances of One Step Closer and Faint from that show turned out to go down in LP history as some of the best ever. Who doesn't love the crazy screaming by Chester on the Faint outro from that show? Exactly. Chester even got off of the micstand for the piano version of Pushing Me Away and walked around the stage at that show, which was the only time that was ever done on a live performance of a song. Anyway, Rock im Park 2007 was no exception either - the band absolutely killed it there too to an insane crowd. Despite in 2009-2010 being rumored to headline both festivals in June 2010, the band took some extra time in the studio to finish A Thousand Suns and instead headlined five (and then a sixth one later added) sold out shows in Germany in the fall. These shows were first announced by MLK at Rock am Ring/Rock im Park 2010, which was pretty cool. This was the largest tour of Germany in the band's career and was only going to be beaten by the EIGHT shows there in fall 2012, but those didn't end up happening and that tour was "canceled" before it was announced, even though it was completely booked and ready to go. 2011 had a European Tour, but LP did not play the festivals on back-to-back years, so 2012 was the next chance for them to headline. For the first time, Linkin Park had an off day between the shows (usually played on back-to-back days), so they played a semi-controversial performance of Burn It Down in Köln for TV total Autoball EM on the off day. The audio of this performance is eerily similar to an earlier one in 2012, and that is a known show where pre-recorded audio is used. However, we have no evidence to back this up 100%. Rock am Ring 2012 was a great performance by the band, but due to the atmosphere and crowd of the festival changing in the years beforehand, the crowd was made up of a lot of mainstream/non-fans of the band and the crowd wasn't as into the show as we would have thought. Actually, the crowd wasn't nearly as rowdy/loud as other performances on the tour or past Linkin Park shows at Rock am Ring. Plus, other rock bands were playing on the side stage, so despite the Hybrid Theory-heavy setlist, a lot of the rock fans didn't show up and jam at this show. Therefore, Rock im Park 2012 took the reigns no problem with a VERY crazy crowd in the rain and proved to be one of the best shows of the entire year. Thankfully, a significant portion of that Rock im Park show was broadcasted on television, and the band even released a few songs themselves from that performance. If you want to see two great performances from the Living Things World Tour, we recommend Rock im Park 2012 and Monterrey 2012. Monterrey ironically will be released as a bonus DVD for The Hunting Party, so be sure to check that out. This will be the band's fifth show at Rock am Ring, after the 2001, 2004, 2007 and 2012 shows there. We will see how the crowd reacts at this one, but don't be surprised if Rock im Park shows up and rocks it hard like they did in 2012. Rock am Ring no longer has the insane, wild crowds like they used to have, but we expect this to still be a great show. In an unprecedented move for the band and by the grace of God, Warner Brothers and Linkin Park have allowed this show to be webcasted and shown on television. It seems like the days are gone (for now) of the band denying just about EVERY festival's webcast of the shows (like in 2007). WEBCAST INFORMATION The stream can be found HERE. It's the "Livestream" not the "Konzertstream" which is the 2nd stream showing different stuff. The schedule for both is on the right hand side. The show will be broadcasted live starting at 10:50 PM German time until about 0:45 AM. -6 hours for EST and -9 PST. 4:50pm EST / 1:50pm PST. It's a stream of the TV version, so that means it will be excellent quality. Tune in and let's rock! *In case you get some annoying pops sounds and you have no idea where it comes from you can turn it off by using these settings (highly recommended): KOMMENTARE (OFF); KLANGE (stumm); UBERSETZEN (blank) Who will be attending this show? Who will be meeting Linkin Park? The full 2014 tour schedule for the band can be found here.
  16. Confirmed to be one performance by Lorenzo.
  17. It's all about the advertising. But until management replies to us I don't know what path to take. They seem to not care. I emailed last week about 2014 DSPs and got no response. I asked if there was anything we could do to help them come back. I think it's a lost cause at this point. We did the fansite letter, we've emailed them, we've discussed it with the crew and the band, etc and nothing seems to be working.
  18. That would really make me stop going to so many shows. If they had one set for Carnivores I would do the first 3 shows and that's it. Since they'll be rotating 3 setlists, I'll be going to the first 9.
  19. So is the band performing twice? It says it is the same venue. Two shows in one day? lol Or what?
  20. Can we figure out how to get access to it via paying? I'll gladly pay for it if someone can get it recorded.
  21. I'll be there! Looking forward to this a lot. Chester really jams on stage with STP. I hope they add a Nashville Ryman show and Atlanta Tabernacle show right after this, if possible. That'd be a great little run.
  22. Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, Kentucky, a new rock festival, has announced their lineup for the first edition of their festival. It will take place at Champions Park in Louisville on October 4th and 5th. Stone Temple Pilots will play on October 4th. Other bands that day include Alter Bridge, Limp Bizkit, Korn, Judas Priest, Memphis May Fire, Of Mice And Men, and more. The addition of a new Stone Temple Pilots date in October means that Linkin Park will have some time off in the fall and STP will be able to head back out on tour, so stay tuned for more dates as they are added.
  23. What a random show to be streamed, if it is true. That'd be great, though! What time?
  24. On June 5th, Linkin Park plays the fourth show of their European Tour at Stadion Miejski in Wrocław, Poland! This will be the band's third show in Poland and it will be the third different city they've played in there. In 2007, they opened for Pearl Jam in Chorzów and they returned in 2012 to play Warsaw's Orange Warsaw Festival. 2014 makes it the second straight European Tour that has come to Poland. Wrocław is the largest city in western Poland, so it is nice to see the band playing in different cities throughout the country. Something funny that happened at the 2012 show is that the band mistakenly skipped New Divide in the setlist during the show; there is an LPUTV episode about this. Linkinpark.pl will be doing a few flashmobs at this show and has made a flag to hang on the stage for the band. This is a very rough Google translation, but my favorite part of their show post is, "The fact that during the performance did not stand motionless like a peg probably do not need reminding." At the last show in Moscow, Mike changed up a verse on his solo medley and incorporated verse one of When They Come For Me, which replaced the verse from the Skin To Bone remix on Recharged. Perhaps this will give Mike (and fans) some ideas for upcoming shows in terms of other verses he could do. We will see! Both Russian shows were a big success for the band, who drew very large crowds and were visibly very energetic on stage. All of the small technical difficulties in the set seem to have been fixed and the band is settling into their groove nicely now in Europe. Brad's back injury should be better soon as well, but thankfully he didn't have to cancel any shows. Here is a full video of the Moscow show by FLAME-XIII, the same person that recorded video of the Moscow and St. Petersburg 2012 shows, as well as Moscow shows in 2007 and 2011. This brings up a fact that I want to mention... both Russian shows have several sources for recordings that are already coming out. That's impressive. In an era with no DSPs, we encourage anyone and everyone who can record the band to try to make an active effort in doing so. We know that Poland, Germany and Download are covered on this tour, leaving only Italy and Switzerland without tapers. We of course will be sharing download links, etc as soon as recordings pop up and we are working on obtaining full sources from Russia right now. Our media section of the forum is where everything will be posted. After this show, Linkin Park plays Rock am Ring on the 7th and Rock im Park on the 8th. Rock am Ring will be webcasted and shown on television, which is a big breakthrough... We are guessing this has to do with no DSPs and the band deciding that they can webcast more shows now. For a full list of the 2014 tour dates, click here. If you have something to submit to a 2014 show page, please let us know! We are still needing tickets, posters, etc for a few shows in Europe.
  25. http://vk.com/wall-1067739_349313 Looks like a full audio recording of the show. Serg (or someone else) can you find out some information about it?
