This is so fucking perfect. Literally perfect. A few small changes and the set is instantly 1000000x better.

Exactly one week ago, we were treated to the FLAC audio of the Darien Center, NY LPU Summit show on the tour! Today we'd like to present the audio of another show - Clarkston, Michigan! Recorded by our good friend Ryan from Reflecting In The Chrome (now at the cool address of http://www.ninlive.com/), this is another excellent recording from the tour! We'd like to give a huge shoutout to Ryan for continuing to record Linkin Park over the years whenever they are in his area. While doing a lot of coverage with Nine Inch Nails every tour they embark on, he still makes the time to go out and catch LP. He's an oldschool fan and has seen them at the State Theater in Detroit in 2003 (MTV $2 Bill show) and other older shows. He has produced some excellent recordings for many bands - most recently for LP, you are likely familiar with his Detroit 2011 and Auburn Hills 2012 recordings. He even has given us the opportunity to post this show as an LPLive Exclusive before he shares it across the web. Not only that but he had the show edited, tracked and uploaded by the next morning afterward for us...less than 12 hours after the show ended. Badass! Thanks Ryan and keep up the excellent work with RITC! We can't say how impressed we are with this recording which comes with the ticket image, the show tracked properly, and artwork. (.zip links, so right click -> save as...) 24 bit FLAC 16 bit FLAC .mp3 Audio sample Enjoy! If you like the show give Ryan a shoutout for all of the work he does in getting bands recorded, archived and shared across the web!

You are right. I just double checked A_V4 from Mansfield and it's missing the IAVA Shoutout. Good call. -
What? Why? It's not even half of the song LOL

Mike was pretty creative when he did HHH. I love both the WTCFM and HHH verses....probably like STB a tad more than RTN but not a big fan of either sadly. But props for doing STB when it's from Recharged. They really have incorporated every album they have ever released into this show, for the first time in their career. -

Easily his best preshow post, I agree. We need to get some other stuff over that medley! -
Auto approval of new accounts is not enabled anymore because we've had robots sign up like 150 accounts overnight so it's not worth the hassle to delete them. Dmitry approves new members once every 24 hours now. So yeah you could wait up to 24 hours depending on when you register. This is a bit different than the past, when signups were instantaneous. Sorry...blame hackers/robots/spam people like Legend, etc. We are always going through a struggle/battle and are debating on what exactly we should keep visible to the public on the forum. And some of it has to do with LP management spying/looking around the forum too (in case anyone was wondering). Newswire is always visible to the public....I think STP is too but we made the rest only visible to members. It changes sometimes. Regardless, registering doesn't take long at all and it's free lol, so I don't think it's that big of a deal. FYI this is NOT done by us to encourage new members to sign up/to get higher membership numbers. That doesn't matter to me at all. We've had some instances where we've felt the need to keep things semi-private (see my second sentence in this paragraph).

Julien-K "Live CD" to be released on October 03rd
hahninator replied to Qwerty95k's topic in Julien-K
https://www.facebook.com/julienk/posts/10152598193181187 Read the comments here. Ryan posted this: "@Chris McGrigor - it became "unauthorized" very soon after being announced - we asked Daniel to "please time this to come in between CA NOIR releases (yes we have more music to release) and please let us have final say on the mix, name, art, etc." The next day he announced the release against our agreements - when we questioned him about it and asked him to stop, he threatened us w a lawsuit, told us to fuck off, told us he would keep 10k worth of our equipment that is in the EU, and that we "owe him" money and he would do whatever he wanted to do until he was "satisfied". I asked (this is ryan) to "please let's be friends and resolve this" TWICE. He denied me. We have since filed a police report for our stolen equipment w the hamburg police. Daniel has a dark history of this kind of behavior (see My Ruin and Figure of Six) - apparently every band he works with is "crazy". Now he is lying to you all even though it is VERY easy to check your Paypal transaction - and playing the "sweet teddy bear" in the most disgusting and self righteous way I have ever seen ... It's unbelievable" -
Really? Wow that's a very interesting. I thought HCT would have costed a lot more than the 2008 winter arena tour. That tour wasn't even that big. And a good bit of it was affected by Chester being sick.

Julien-K "Live CD" to be released on October 03rd
hahninator replied to Qwerty95k's topic in Julien-K
I have no idea what's going on here but the fact of the matter is - the unauthorized album claim by them is a bunch of bullshit. They promoted this on social media, emailed us about it, told the street team (SDS or whatever) about it....so yes, it WAS authorized. You can't just say "lol we are releasing a live album, everyone go buy it!...AAAAAND NOW WE WILL SAY WE NEVER AUTHORIZED IT, IT'S NOT LEGIT Y'ALL." Makes them look dumb. -

WTCFM over the medley? Anyone have a video? -
$15 for a platform that a band is doing completely independently is not a lot to me, considering this is the most expensive concert tour Linkin Park has ever done. No idea how they are charging more than LP/Incubus for LP/Mars considering Mars is NOWHERE near Incubus's status as a band but fuck it, the people pay it anyway. I'll throw down for it for sure. I emailed LP management and got no response if they'd offer a download for a $25 package. Of course, it's a given fact that if LP is involved, it will be recorded and offered for download all across the web. There hasn't been one webcast ever as far as I'm aware (besides maybe the one 2001 Florida one we are still looking into) that has LP on it that wasn't up for download ASAP afterwards, lol. Too many people care about the band so it'll be on YouTube, lp-bits, etc ASAP right after. I have no problem with that and I support that 100%, but it's also very important to support Mars here with the VyRT platform and buy the stream so that LP management sees it and says "oh, that was successful, a lot of people liked that, maybe we can do this again with another LP show sometime" instead of them looking at it and saying "lol, told you the LP fans don't give a fuck about DSPs or live shows, let's never do anything like this ever again." Buy it, support it, record it, share it, let's jam.

Brad gives zero fucks about the shows these days. In Tampa, he was about two inches from the edge of the stage (marked by green tape at that one) for over half the show. He constantly walks off the stage during songs to get drinks or talk to his guitar tech, hangs out in spots that are semi close to the edge of the stage, and looks like he gives zero fucks about anything other than Burn It Down, Castle of Dance (where after a few shows he started coming out and dancing to, wtf), and the end of Blackout where he air guitars like a madman (still don't know if he plays anything there but if he does, it's COMPLETELY muted during the shows because I watched it at 9 straight performances all over the crowd in various spots and heard NADA). He seems to hate Given Up and I know for a fact he's the reason they refuse to play any older Hybrid Theory songs. Really wish they'd kick some sense into him or tell him to grow up. He looks like a statue for most of every concert these days and looks like he hates being a part of the show. And adding to that, the M&G experiences.... he'll run down the line opposite to how everyone else in LP goes (if LP goes from left to right, Brad goes right to left), signing as fast as possible and then LEAVES ASAP. Ridiculous. -
Jared just said in a VyRT chat that if they can sell 500 tickets for this by Friday, Mike and Chester will appear in the chat.

Thanks to our good friend Ryan from Reflecting In The Chrome (an epic database of live Nine Inch Nails recordings) for this news piece! Linkin Park will be performing at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, CA on October 24th at 8:00pm for Guitar Center Sessions. It will be aired on DirecTV on December 12th at 9:00pm. This show is billed as a concert/celebration for Guitar Center's 50th Anniversary. (Larger version) It is unknown how long the band will perform for. In comparison, Skylar Grey's Guitar Center Sessions set was just six songs. It is expected that a method to win tickets (LPU?) will be announced soon. This show will come the day before the Scottsdale, AZ performance for the 'Stars Of The Season' gala and will come right after Linkin Park gets back from Brazil for two shows. For the full 2014 tour schedule, click here.

Agreed on all counts except UIG, they jam huge on that. Castle of Dance is entertaining, but I could do without it.

3 SETS, ROTATE IN 'BY MYSELF' AND 'FORGOTTEN' IN PLACE OF 'WITH YOU' AND 'POINTS OF AUTHORITY', 'SOMEWHERE I BELONG' ROTATE W/ 'FROM THE INSIDE' 'GIVEN UP' ROTATE W/ 'NO MORE SORROW' Drop all the bullshit. Drop Crawling and New Divide because Chester's voice can't handle it. Fuck Burn It Down. Let's jam and we can jam with some small changes like this: Session Guilty All The Same Given Up Points Of Authority (full) One Step Closer Blackout (interlude) Papercut (full) Rebellion Runaway (full) Wastelands With You Castle Of Dance Waiting For The End (Apaches/Wall Of Noise) Numb (Numb/Encore Intro and Outro) Final Masquerade Wretches & Kings Mike Solo Medley (new verse + RTN + WTCFM/HHH) Somewhere I Belong In The End ------------------ Until It's Gone (European Tour Intro) Lost In The Echo (2012 Intro) Lying From You A Place For My Head Faint
-
Thanks for this. Interesting that it wasn't done at all in 2012. I asked at the Alpharetta M&G and he told me no, so there we go, haha.

Jonas did you get a good picture of that early Projekt Revolution 2003 setlist in the guitar rig? I don't think we've had a picture of that before. Really cool. Rob drummed on the Reading My Eyes verse. Anyone have any idea the last time he did that? I remember it was done in Venice 2008 when Mike did the verse for the very first time. Aaaaand this might call for a list of every show where RME has been done (both as a full song as well as over BIO and POA). Shouldn't be that many. 10 times as full band (4 in 2006, 6 in 2008), 2 times over POA (2009), and not that many over BIO (2008-2014). -
LPLive is back from their run on Carnivores Tour, so we thought we'd stop in and do a preshow post! Kudos to Soul for his excellent work on the tour and we are looking forward to having him continue on with us throughout the touring cycle. On the 26th, Linkin Park, 30 Seconds To Mars and AFI take the Carnivores Tour to St. Paul, Minnesota to the Minnesota State Fair for the 12th show of the tour! Since there are only 25 shows on this tour, we'll just call this show the halfway point on the tour! Linkin Park is no stranger to Minnesota, having played there seven times before this show since the year 2000. Since Falcon Heights is essentially just a TINY city where the fair is being held and St. Paul is super close to Minneapolis, Linkin Park has performed in this general area quite often, hitting it on every touring cycle in support of each album. The first appearance came in August 2000 with Union Underground at Ryan's in St. Paul, with a followup show at The Lab/4th Street Station in St. Paul in December with Papa Roach. Their first headlining show in the area came on the Street Soldiers Tour the following year, when they played the Quest Club in Minneapolis. A second 2001 show came in St. Paul on Family Values Tour, where Linkin Park opened for Stone Temple Pilots. Returning with Meteora, Linkin Park headlined Quest Club once again on the LP Underground Tour (a city that was lucky enough to have a fanclub show) before Summer Sanitarium played the Metrodome that summer in July. Finally, LP returned for an arena show at St. Paul's Xcel Center in January 2004. They played the area just twice for the next two albums, but at the same venue. The Xcel Center got a show in February 2008 for Minutes To Midnight and a show in January 2011 for A Thousand Suns. Like many states and/or cities, it was skipped on the short Honda Civic Tour in 2012, but the band is back for The Hunting Party! And a shoutout to Astat, who will be in attendance at this show! They are also no stranger to performing at special events like the Minnesota State Fair on their headlining tours. All the way back on Projekt Revolution 2007, the band took the tour by the New York State Fair in Syracuse, NY. In 2011, Projekt Revolution in Europe was held in Oberursel, Germany during Hessentag, a state fair in Germany. This will also be the fourth different venue in four shows for Linkin Park. Darien Center was at an amphitheatre, Montreal was at an open-air park, Toronto was in an arena, and this show will be at a fair grandstand. So far on this tour, we have been seeing two setlists, which is slightly different than what we have been used to in the past with three sets. Unfortunately it seems that a third Set C will not come on Carnivores, but perhaps the band will return with one for the European Tour in November. Reading My Eyes did pop up over Bleed It Out in Darien Center for the LPU Summit, so as far as "specialties" during this tour, that's probably all we are going to get (probably the same will happen at Woodlands as well). A few audience recordings have popped up from this tour (Bristow and Darien Center) so check those out in the forums if you're interested. Doors for the fair open at 6:00am (good luck, fans!) and you have to pay $13 just to enter the fair (on top of your concert ticket), so this show undoubtedly is the most expensive one of the tour. After St. Paul, the band performs in Winnipeg on the 27th for the first time ever, before performing in Tinley Park, IL and Clarkston, MI for back-to-back shows that lead into a week break from the tour.
