  1. I'd rather him just scream what he can scream and fuck the echo...the echo is really annoying at the end of OSC and other songs.
  2. Lmao he's international in the middle of a Linkin Park tour, just the fact he's even doing a Fort Minor show is great. LP in the summer barely had any production either (before China)...pretty dark stages.
  3. For the first time ever, Mike is polling fans on a new song (or two) to add to the Fort Minor setlist. We've requested this for years for 1 slot of the 23+ in the Linkin Park set dedicated to a rare song, but we'll gladly welcome a poll for Fort Minor too. Now is our chance to get something really unique/rare played live, and the choices that Mike gives are actually all fantastic choices. The Fort Minor show right now runs about 55-60 minutes, with about 45-50 minutes of actual music and the rest dedicated to Mike talking, introducing songs, etc. That's pretty good for a solo artist. The next FM show is in Berlin on September 2nd, and the winner(s) will be in the setlist starting with that show. You can vote HERE. Mike says, "I already have a set list I like, but I want to add a song or two. Here are some songs not currently in the set list." And the choices are: Right Now Red To Black Second To None High Voltage Step Up Wow! All five are fantastic choices, and we'd gladly welcome any of the five to the setlist. We'll run them down for you and let you pick your favorite. 01. Right Now. Featuring Black Thought from The Roots and Styles Of Beyond, this song on The Rising Tied was an instant fan-favorite but has NEVER been played live in any form. Mike has never rapped a verse of the song over anything...this one is the the rarest song in the bunch and if we COULD pick one, we'd pick this one just because of how rare it is. It'd be a true treat to see this performed live. Cigarettes and Kenji also received their live debuts this year with Fort Minor (one verse of Cigarettes was rapped acapella in 2006). With the guest verses, this song will likely be abbreviated in some form. That's actually not a bad thing. for fans..Mike might just do a verse and chorus and then pick another song from the poll to add too. 02. Red To Black. This song was played regularly by Fort Minor in 2005-2006. It's one of the "heavier" Fort Minor songs and fans love it. It would likely be shortened, too. Of all the songs, this is the "least rare" song in the poll but it's still a great track. 03. Second To None. The song was on the Transformers soundtrack and is Mike with Styles Of Beyond, which is effectively a Fort Minor song in a sense, but it was released on the SOB album Reseda Beach. Mike joined SOB on Projekt Revolution 2007 for the song for a significant amount of shows on the tour. At the Raleigh stop of the tour, Mike rapped his verse over the intro of Points Of Authority and it was actually cool as fuck...one of the best POA intros ever. Since Mike was taking so many requests for POA that tour (Step Up, Second To None, High Voltage, Respect 4 Grandma, etc), we were legit bummed it only happened once! Truly an awesome verse, this one would be badass to see too. 04. High Voltage. HV was mentioned a lot around the Download 2014 show when Hybrid Theory was performed in full - fans wanted it as a "special treat". We can't even mention the song without talking about the London Docklands 2001 version...perhaps one of the best Linkin Park song performance ever. It's no surprise High Voltage is leading the poll - a lot of people really love this song. Mike will likely play his remix/reprise version and we don't blame him as it is much better than the Hybrid Theory EP version. Anyway, the original on HTEP hasn't been played since 1999-early 2000 (if ever - we really don't know if they ever played it), and the remix hasn't been played since 2001. Always a good choice, we see High Voltage winning the poll. 05. Step Up. Also from the Hybrid Theory EP, it hasn't been played in full since 2002 on Projekt Revolution. Everyone SHOULD know it from the medley in 2004 of Step Up/Nobody's Listening/It's Goin' Down, especially since it was played at Rock am Ring 2004. Mike rapped also Step Up over Points Of Authority randomly in 2007-2008. And before you vote, this is the current Fort Minor live setlist: 01. Introduction 02. Petrified (Ext. Intro) 03. In Stereo 04. It's Goin' Down 05. Dolla 06. Waiting For The End/Hands Held High (Mashup) 07. Castle Of Glass (Remix) 08. Kenji (w/ Castle Remix Instrumental) 09. Devil's Drop 10. Cigarettes (Remix) 11. Until It Breaks (Shortened) 12. Where'd You Go (w/ Until It Breaks Instrumental) 13. High Road 14. Believe Me (Remix, w/ When They Come For Me Verse 1) 15. Welcome 16. Remember The Name (Shortened) Mike has spoiled us on this tour by playing all sorts of new versions of songs in the FM set and debuting songs that haven't been played before. The setlist right now is very different than what FM played in 2005-2006. Any of these songs in the poll are a good choice! They're all rarer songs and as we said above, Mike picked good tracks for the poll. Right Now is the rarest, then High Voltage. Red To Black is the most common, but still hasn't been played in almost 10 years. May the best song win! And we can't make the post without mentioning how great it'd be if Linkin Park did this for just one song in the setlist someday for rarer songs....
  4. Glad you had fun! Lots of info here, looks great. I'll sort it out. The bit about the rotating setlists is interesting. So Rob wants to rotate them and thinks maybe the production is holding them up from changing it. Hopefully in 2016 they rotate again. I discussed the petition with Pooch at ROTR in May...I've been shooting it back and forth with staff trying to figure out when to do it. I have an update from Mike about it I need to post. Anyway Pooch signed it and shared it for us. It sounds like he got my email before you talked to him as it's solely a WBR issue and Mike is on board with doing it again. The M&G...wow 60 people, that's like double what they usually do. Makes me kind of disappointed ROTR had 30 apply and 25 spots were given. Odd about the flag on the stage.
  5. Great job! I like Cigarettes a lot. Mike really talked a bunch....definitely an extremely intimate setting where he's even responding to fans in the audience.
  6. Lee filmed, Garo did audio. Very cool. There was an encore break after Believe Me. Updated the show page.
  7. They are slowly becoming a band that will need a day off between every show. That's not something to be ashamed of, either, it's just a precautionary measure for Chester. His voice needs it. I'm very surprised they still scheduled 3 in a row on the canceled winter tour...with NYC as the third night. Damn. Metallica and Rolling Stones are older but take days between the shows....LP should do one off day in 2016+ between shows if they can afford it (makes the tour longer and more expensive I'm sure). The point is, when they have an off day, Chester's voice is in really good shape. I am surprised in 2015 he still sounds this fantastic live. You can start to notice now when they play two in a row.
  8. The Serbia show might have been what Rob was referring to, since the chat was in what, March? That show was "announced" in the press in May. Not sure what happened to the LPU Summit. Maybe they tried to plan another arena show too. I guess they have multiple rigs, for extremely large shows, and now for super small club shows.
  9. In the Rob LPU chat in March, he said two things of importance that we want to bring up again.... 1. Linkin Park is working on scaling down their live gear/touring rigs so that they will be able to play some smaller shows, or surprise shows, or even something acoustic. 2. Hybrid Theory being played in full again is possible, the 15th anniversary is in October and the band plans on "celebrating" it in some fashion. Already we have heard that the band has started scaling down their gear recently (just before this tour began), and with the European Tour being the LAST tour for The Hunting Party...the band's schedule for the rest of the year is pretty much open. Chester has a 10 show Stone Temple Pilots tour in September and there is a local STP show in California on October 25th, the day after the 15th anniversary for Hybrid Theory. Linkin Park has one show on November 1st in Arizona, but that's it. The band is going back into the studio later this year, with a new album being prepped for release in the middle of next year (2016). However, with the gear being scaled down, the Hybrid Theory anniversary coming up, and Rob mentioning both of these in the LPU chat...we have to wonder if something is being planned. It's also the 15th anniversary of the LP Underground this fall. Will the band celebrate by playing a club show? Will they take it even further and play more than one club show? What do you think?
  10. What could LP replace RTN and Welcome with in the set? Are they confident enough to just throw in 2 songs randomly? Lmao
  11. I think Mike will stick to the same stuff for the FM show with zero changes. He obviously worked hard on the remixes and different versions of all the songs....that's a ton of stuff for him. It's only been done once so far so I bet he keeps it for Europe. Maybe drop a few songs for Rock im Sektor but that's it. He also said the only way to see these exclusive songs/remixes is to come to the FM shows, meaning he's likely not changing anything.
  12. Thanks to LPCatalog for talking to Mike about it tonight. They know about it and are working on something.
  13. They will return in 2016 to Europe, they never skip Europe. You can see them then
  14. They did the same thing for the Wroclaw show, I doubt it's real.
  15. They messed up the end of ALITS. But the sound on these videos is great. Looks like a fun crowd.
  16. Linkin Park has not allowed smoking or alcohol backstage since at least 2009, possibly earlier. That applies to every show they've been a part of. Of course, they can't always control what goes on in the other bands' dressing rooms (like Incubus probably smoked pot when they were at KROQ AAC).
  17. He said Linkin Park is aiming to have a new album out in the middle of next year.
  18. "With Linkin Park, we have now in three one-day festival of 70 000 spectators. In Berlin it went very well, in Dusseldorf and at Hockenheim okay," reported organizer Marek Lieberberg on request. I think the problem is the opening bands. MLK and LP know they can bring huge crowds in Germany at LP shows. Even an arena show right now in the summer would sell out. The lineup for Rock'n'Heim is really shitty and I wouldn't want to stand outside all day just to see Halestorm and then like 5 other bands, then LP. No seated options. If they had better bands, they'd get a better crowd. Like Projekt Revolution 2008. It doesn't seem very appealing to be outside for all these unknown bands all day, being totally exhausted, just to see LP play the same show again. If the lineup was like LP, Rise Against, Enter Shikari, Papa Roach, Halestorm then I'd show up at 6am.
  19. Now that's odd. It doesn't even look like part of a highlight reel or anything. Was the full set broadcasted?
  20. The fourth show out of ten on the European leg of The Hunting Party Tour takes Linkin Park back to Poland, where they headline Stadion Miejski w Rybniku in Rybnik! This is their first show in Rybnik, but second show in Poland on The Hunting Party Tour after they played a massive show in Wrocław last year. There is an absolutely fantastic 1080p video of that show compiled by Linkin Park traders/collectors of that show, which was one of the best on the entire touring cycle for The Hunting Party. This will be the fourth show in Poland, with two of those shows coming just for one album (The Hunting Party)! In 2007, Linkin Park opened for Pearl Jam in Chorzów in what was their first show in Poland. This was one of two shows the band played with Pearl Jam that year, the other being Oerias Alive! in Lisboa, Portugal where the band watched Pearl Jam's set from sidestage and said they learned a lot about how to perform a live show. The third show with Pearl Jam was Heinekin Jammin' in Italy, but it was canceled due to a tornado. In 2012, LP returned to Poland to play Warsaw's Orange Warsaw Festival. At this show, they mistakenly skipped New Divide in the setlist, which you can see on an LPUTV episode. Anyway, this tour is now three shows in! It's going by quickly.... LP is playing the same set all tour so there's not much to discuss in regards to the actual shows. The Last Internationale (who was on the Pukkelpop lineup too) and My Riot will open this show. For show pages of the shows that have happened already, you can find them here: Pukkelpop, FM4 Frequency, and Rock'n'Heim. You can see some cool pictures from the promoter of the event of the venue and the setup process for this show here. This is the first non-festival show for LP on this tour, so we might see even bigger production, like China had. If another big crowd turns up in Poland, you can guarantee Linkin Park will continue returning to the country on future European tours. Who is going? Don't forget to sign our DSP petition, where we are currently trying to get Linkin Park to release older shows. The band has a lot of recorded shows from 2001-2006 as well as 2013-2015...they still record every show they play, and we want them to know fans are requesting them. Being able to relive your concert over-and-over again is priceless...if you agree, sign the campaign here and spread the word! After this show, Linkin Park has another off day before they play their first show ever in Belarus when they headline Minsk-Arena on the 27th. But wait, the day before that...we have Fort Minor live in Copenhagen, Denmark! That's right, Fort Minor's first live show in Europe with Mike as a solo artist comes on the 26th. That will be a fun one to follow. For the 2015 Linkin Park tour schedule and setlists, click here. For the Fort Minor tour page and upcoming dates, click here.
  21. That's very interesting as Linkin Park can bring more people than that to an arena they headline in Germany.
