with new/different music. brings in new/different fans. thats just the reality of the situation. And LP knows this. And i don't think they mind it. Its not like they are alienating their fans... because simply put.. they aren't alienating themselves by creating music that they frankly don't give a sh!t about. Go listen to Puddle of Mud or Korn and tell me how much they have evolved and how different their fan base has become over the years.
Sounds like one of Korn super tuned down guitars... i think its possible, but it would sound different live no doubt.
And i pre-ordered the cd based off the little clip of Wretches and Kings. This is what LP is about... this music would totally suit the name Hybrid Theory don't ya think? lol.
I can't wait for the album after this one tho. lol
I think that is intentional.
and this song is F***ing insane. Its like a hardcore rap song.. something like little wayne but better. i can't wait to get high and bump this in a car lol
MTV? how gay is that. I hate everything MTV(modern mtv) stands for and the music it has...... talk about TOTAL mainstream... well yeah.. lp is there too i guess :/
I'm not wrong. I just generalized to the max. Tell me who you think the majority of LP fans are, and what type of music they listen too. My statement doesn't apply to all. But, if you think MTM divided the people * which was just more typical rock ballads than anything* then you better bet your ass that a super experimental piece of music will divide a fan base that MOST LIKELY the majority of them listen to whatever is played on their local rock radio stations.
Welcome to how it must feel like being the president of the United States of America.
I never bought the LPU.. simply because i didn't have the money.. and now that i have the money.. i don't think i will... the package is what interested me the most. Getting a CD/Shirt/Shoe laces/etc is what made it special. not some M&G crap that you can only meet 1 member of the band? F that, and F whoever came up with that idea.
Pretend To Be made me think of Incubus for some reason. and it is NOT better than Cat. even if it was polished.
lol. ATS is going to divide people who actually love music and understand it, too ones who only listen to the radio friendly type bands/music and can't accept experimental stuff.
i have no problem with that at all. one of my fav. experimental bands The Sound of Animals Fighting would often have interludes and intros and outros and such so i'm coo' with length. i just hope to god, this cd isn't full of radio friendly songs.
not that Rapping isn't something that people can feel or anything. I know people have that passion. But when you sing, you become an instrument and its hard to describe the feeling. and again, not saying rapping can't do that for you, but singing is more natural for the human body.
I don't care if they werent even listed. the music is what matters.... and that catalyst is a very good song. Rankings doesn't truly determine how good a song is
I honestly believe if he worked with a good vocal coach he would sound so much better. a lot of artist do drugs. just a fact.. but they still sing good some even great live
and i have played guitar for about 3 years and yes LP songs are easy... but the thing is... they aren't supposed to be hard.
Well Shadows can nail every note perfectly. but he still sounds like crap *personally*
No singer, no matter how good you may think they sound can sing on key 100%. Now listening to this... he was really outta place on some.. and i personally think he needs a vocal trainer *i think all major labels should require singers to have vocal training but thats just me*
