  1. ATS. a great concept executed brilliantly. there're so many layers to the words, the art, the soundscape, it's still one of my favourite albums LP has produced as a whole package.
  2. "In The End Live & Rare" EP Papercut POA APFMH from "Docklands Arena" I'm making an educated guess that that's London 24.03.01 (not 16.09.01), since most other ITE CD-S content was from the March show, and they certainly sound really similar in terms of crowd noise, guitar/vocal delivery.
  3. http://lplive.net/shows/20121107.php DSP run time time is 93:14 mins

    News Roundup

bits and pieces, usually on Sky Arts or Channel 4 - clips/a few full songs. bigger mainstream festivals here like Glastonbury or reading/Leeds get hours of coverage, but again it's often highlights and selected bands. UK festivals don't seem to have caught the streaming bug. which is a shame really.
  5. this and Dmitry's "Guilty All The Rest" have been my favorite things about THP's release..
  6. will be interesting to see if LP can make these longer tracks worth listening to. personally, UIG felt like a bit of a 'filler' track, and I'll be disappointed if these other, bigger tracks feels too much like empty padding. TLTGYA will take some beating! I'm adding my name to the bet that The Summoning is an interlude (possibly no vocals too?) that said, track times tell us nothing. not willing to guess content/overall sound either, because names too tell us us nothing
  7. 1. http://lplive.net/chesterbennington/20011117.php Moby Dick is a Led Zeppelin cover and on this note, we seem to be a bit inconsistent when it comes to identifying covers in the setlist notes, for example - http://lplive.net/chesterbennington/20061006.php http://lplive.net/chesterbennington/20061020.php 2. http://lplive.net/chesterbennington/20070517.php Jane's Addiction is spelt incorrectly in the setlist, and the link "Read more about the show here" has disappeared. 3. http://lplive.net/chesterbennington/20070819.php August 19th performance, but the page incorrectly lists "April 19th, 2007". 4. http://lplive.net/chesterbennington/20070903.php // http://lplive.net/julienk/20070903.php and http://lplive.net/chesterbennington/20080812.php JK/Chester pages need location updating to Greenwood Village, consistent with location specifications that were made in main LP pages (http://lplive.net/shows/20070903.php, http://lplive.net/shows/20080812.php) 5. http://lplive.net/chesterbennington/20091122.php "Crazy Time" should be Crazy Train? EDIT: http://lplive.net/shows/20090622.php Source 1b notes - "available on the Jimmy Kimmel YouTube account here". this video is now private and no longer available. http://lplive.net/shows/20101216.php Source Note addition - the DSP for this show was edited to correct Chester's voice messing up in Crawling & New Divide. The unedited recordings exist, but I'm not sure where they were released or by whom. (I probably downloaded them from LPL, but I'm not sure of the origin) http://lplive.net/shows/20110623.php the DSP Source notes for this show look like a mismatched copy/paste and need cleaning up.
  8. http://lplive.net/shows/20010616.php 1. after By Myself, Chester seems to get angry at someone in the crowd, the video's not clear what happened, but he asks "d'you wanna suck my dick? d'you wanna suck my fucking dick? tough guy? yeah, tough guy..." to someone in the front few rows. 2. on the APFMH intro, Mike taunts the crowd to get them into a frenzy for the song - "you fuckers aren't crazy! you're not fucking crazy. bullshit! all you fuckers, are just a bunch of pussies! I don't know what to say for you guys. [unclear]? Are you gonna do it?" he then starts the verse. 3. Forgotten was on the setlist after APFMH, you can hear Brad starting his verse part just before the video cuts onwards to OSC. I don't think it's just a tease, since the band seemed to be starting songs in rapid succession to get as much material in during their time slot.
  9. liking the UIG art. not on UK itunes last time I checked..
  10. forgot about the Hot Topic/RSD differences, but on a similar note, I sometimes see ebay sellers splitting the RSD package into two "items" (1 auction for the HT 12", one for the OSC 7") which really annoys me.. my bad! only just checked mine.. I have a non-LP 12" that's clear, must have confused the two :/ while we're on the subject of vinyl/RSD/public service announcements.. - my eye was caught today by something LPL retweeted re:vinyl ownership, the attached picture was of a guy holding his transparent HT up for the camera, and I cannot stress enough - FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT TOUCH THE GROOVES OF YOUR VINYLS WITH YOUR FUCKING HANDS. THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS.
  11. also, while you're looking at the pictures, check that the vinyl itself is transparent. if the seller doesn't have the disc itself pictured, ask them before you commit to buying. be wary of stock photos of the item - get pictures of the actual "thing" that is being listed. correction: RSD = black vinyl, Hot Topic = transparent vinyl
  12. I wonder if he actually went to a show to get that shirt too...
  13. they still seem to be putting the finishing touches on recordings/doing studio work (if recent photos etc. are anything to go by) album release seems likely for June. can't imagine this has much to do with Chester
  14. I'm assuming 18-20 songs for LP. I can see GATS being played either real early in the set, or as part of an encore/after a little "we have a new album you guys" (ugh!) interlude Mars usually have around 15/16/17 songs in their set but tend to have a ton of extenders/crowd stuff that LP doesn't do, plus their songs tend o be longer anyway. AFI I can guess will have roughly 40/50mins. I honestly don't know if they are still popular enough to warrant a vast amount of stage time.
  15. LinkinParkMedia has always been good for past Loveline shows. not got this one w/Mike & Anna up yet but their "recent" audio page seems quite current - http://linkinparkmedia.net/audios/load/recent anything under the "loveline" tag is here - http://linkinparkmedia.net/search.php?keyw...amp;type=audios
  16. agreed. it's much clearer in the video than the pictures. the OD is all bunched up but the YSSEY is easy to spot.
  17. just in case people didn't see it in the main newswire thread - day tickets go onsale March 28th at 9am GMT, via this link - http://www.downloadfestival.co.uk/tickets there are no prices listed on the site yet, but if last year's anything to go by, day tickets are around £80/£90 GBP.
  18. UK/Finland were similar bands, but the running order was spread across 2 days of the UK event. Sonisphere UK was the only "edition" of the 2009 festival that was more than just a 1-day event. UK - LP played the saturday (01.08.09), headline set, final band of the day. Metallica played the sunday (02.08.09), headline set, final band of the day. Finland - Metallica headlined the whole, 1-day event (25.07.09), LP played before them/supported http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonisphere_Fe...Sonisphere_2009 I know this question has been answered above, but the details seemed relevant.
  19. 13.06.07 - Chorzów, POL Stadion Śląski
  20. noted. but are they as good at festivals as they are in small indoor venues? forget " to be or not to be", because "this" is the question
  21. I can't remember when the album is due to be released, so my next question may seen dumb as hell, but won't Download/any pre-album show hear it? I think it's likely - LGM and BID got their fair share of the setlist prior to LT's release, so why not play GATS or any other 'pre-' single at the EU festivals? any TV broadcasts might cut the rap part, but the will almost certainly cut down the intro. I have no idea how long it is time-wise in comparison to previous preview/single tracks from other albums but it feels too long for the radio, and unless presenters ramp it to holy hell, it'll feel way too long for casual ears
  22. we already have She Couldn't, why is everyone putting that on wishlists?
  23. for me, the friday's all about AR and Skindred. Saturday I'll stick by the main stage too - LP & BMTH (even if the latter don't quite grab me as much as they used to), and Sunday's for Polar, probably Phil Anselmo & The Illegals too, they're (personally) the least exciting of Phil's projects, but I've wanted to see that guy in concert since I was, like, 15.. might try to catch Kill Devil Hill too - make it a Rex Brown/Phil Anselmo day. honestly, I don't know who half the line-up are, and most of those I do know I'm not incredibly fussed by - out of 80+ I'm there for 4 or 5. I'm a joke
  24. I don't anticipate much of a switch-around of songs on the setlist this year. I'm guessing it'll be the usual "mostly singles" set with a few extra bits thrown in - a few odd other tracks from HT (apfmh, With you, poa etc.) and then GATS opening up after an encore. I can see a lot of Living Things material being dropped to make way for 6th album stuff (LGM springs to mind) but also some things like the ballad medley might go too.
