  1. do you really think they'll bother with modern, or post-HT extenders? I can see stuff like Papercut or With You getting extra stuff because they've been on the recent setlists for some time now but I'm not too sure about any of the other songs..
  2. yes yes yes Blackout and W&K would be cool to have back. WTCFM i'm not fussed by, not sure why, I just never clicked with it.. I'd call The Catalyst an energetic song, it's one of those ones I always think is boring live, but I often end up really enjoying it on the DSPs, it's odd.. but yeah, BITS, Iri, the interludes and The Messenger were pretty useless live. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they played them so they're not a constant source of "URRGHH" from everyone here, but they belong on the shelf now. (I honestly think Robot Boy would bomb for this exact reason - we only want it played live because it hasnt been done, not because it might be any good..)
  3. I honestly thought that words like "ionian" and "phrygian" were a joke to make people think everything they're doing is super technical. was convinced ALL of this was a joke until Astat's post :/
  4. I'd love to hear W&K live but I doubt that'll happen now, so much off ATS has been cut out of the live show, I appreciate the energy of recent sets, but I'm sure there's ways of playing stuff from ATS that doesnt put everyone to sleep
  5. I'd heard MTM before really giving HT and M a proper good listen, so tht transition of styles hadn't struck me since I worked backwards, I agree with AndOne that ATS was a way bigger shock to the system. It wasnt the Catalyst that shocked me but W&K - back when they had a new song from ATS each day on LP's myspace before the album release (why myspace of all places, I have no fucking clue..) but anyway, yeah that dark, grating sample was just .. so cool
  6. 200 days people EDIT: can't wait for the day splits now
  7. I knew I recognised the name... "Basquiat" refers to Jean-Michel Basquiat ("ba-skya") - a hugely influential, and very political primitivist NY grafitti artist from the 70s/80s (of whom Mike will certainly be aware). his work is ugly, messy stuff but it makes his commentary far more powerful than if it were presented in a refined and well-formed way. (swearing on Given Up...?) MTM was the first time LP overtly dealt with politics, it doesn't surprise me that Mike was clearly drawing reference from this. Basquiat is worth reading about if anyone's interested
  8. this. I picked that up immediately, I love that they re-use little pieces of demos etc. in live interludes. did you also notice how the Primo outro piano chords could pretty much lead right in to Roads Untravelled?
  9. from twitter: Lorenzo Errico ‏@lorenzoerr If you DID NOT get your download link after purchasing the digital CD, find the download link in the order details in your account page.
  10. in all honesty, why would they put lyics on something that was only ever going to be a quick, LPU-release only project. it'd be a total waste of time - why would Chester/Mike do a ton of work for something with such little benefit..?
  11. we do not offer downloads to officially released tracks. please do not ask for links here. anyone posting, or directly requesting links etc. will be fed to the piranhas. seriously though, we're not an illegal downloads site.
  12. this. a worldwide customer base, bound to be bugs/problems etc.
  13. fair enough, I'm not seeing the detailed stuff for current members.
  14. I'm only looking at the non-member homepage. I don't see all the extra stuff, but people should read through carefully before they rush in and start spending
  15. I hate to be "that guy", but on the list of what's in the various packages, where exactly does it state that your package comes with an immediate digital download...?
  16. we have a lot of 'bet' losers http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=10375
  17. I have no idea, I can't see why they wouldn't let you if they allow you to buy the CDs. I got an unused trial code from an LPU9 and bought a load of the CDs that way, I already had digital versions but wanted the CDs, so I never checked that purchasing digital copies was possible. but as michalangelo says, you might as well wait until the site officially launches XIII - your details will be vaild for 'longer' and you can always buy the LPU12 cd once you've got your 13 package set up
  18. you can buy the LPU CDs with a trial membership (if they are in stock), FYI.
  19. yep, no live tracks for XIII may have been confirmed, but that statement makes me nervous for XIV
  20. since they're not selling DSPs any more, do you think we'll end up with LPU CDs with Live Tracks...? O_o
  21. do we know what time all the details will be available? I'm guessing 9:00am PST, but I'm just curious since it's not been in any of the announcements (that I've seen)
