  1. This year... + 3 years. I wouldn't quote Chester about that. LP are the worst with release dates haha.
  2. I enjoyed ATS but this is what I don't understand... They are trying to not limit their 'creativity' by conforming to a sound... okay reasonable. But by (quote) "throwing out an idea as soon as it sounded familiar", doesn't that limit creativity? Boundaries occur when you don't allow for something to occur - that's a boundary. An album that is truly 'free' would be one that they went in writing with no hopes of what it would turn out like (if it's like ATS- fine, if it was like HT- fine, etc) They could've made a heavy rap/rock album that DIDN'T sound like HT/M. They make it seem like if they went heavy, that's all they could do. As a musician, I consider their instrumentals to be very simplistic, so they could improve that while going heavier. They could have crazy piano parts (like Muse) with complex drums and mesmerizing guitar riffs. I dunno, I feel like they're being slightly stubborn about this. Now that they made it such a big deal about going back, even if they wanted to, they won't.
  3. I feel like no one I know likes them or cares about them, so it does surprise me that they have so many fans
  4. I don't think so... Linkin Park play 20 000+ audiences and 98% of them want to hear Numb/In The End/etc. They're not going to play like HIgh Voltage and ATS whole haha. It doesn't matter to me what they play, I just can't wait to see them x)
  5. I actually didn't like the lyrics to TRT EDIT: Congrats on the baby
  6. Chester is way temperamental and is driven by his feelings/moods. If he's in an okay/good mood, he is really friendly (like this past tour).
  7. We don't know the contributions of each member. Like you said, Mike is very upfront about what he does, unlike Brad (though he does a lot). We don't know who wrote which lyrics and it is not a fair comparison to say that Mike is a better lyricist. So I'm discounting lyrics as a part of my influence. Talent is defined as a "natural aptitude or skill", therefore, Chester DOES have more talent. A talent to me, is something you inherited, not something you can acquire (Nature vs Nurture). Piano (and thus, other instrumental skills) is something you can acquire. I received a performers degree in Piano at the age of 16 (last year) and I do not consider myself to be 'extremely talented', just someone who acquired a neat skill out of practice and dedication. Chester had a rough childhood and did not receive any musical training in comparison to Mike. I also consider charisma to be one of the most important talents a band can have. Chester shines when he's on stage and he adds a lot of character to the band. I truly believe that LP would not be where they are without his 'essence' in the band. In short, Mike is a creative genius, but Chester has more (natural) talent.
  8. I think the Requiem builds up much more anticipation in comparison to some of the "heavy" songs. It introduces the show better. With You is an awesome song, but it doesn't show you whats coming.
  9. Of course they never do anything special, you know, they never did a thing called a summit or anything.
  10. Well it worked for South America And they're doing European Festivals in the summer so it's likely they'll stop by Asia, so India is possible!
  11. I think it's because Leave Out All The Rest was relatively unrehearsed and he messed up in Birmingham so he's probably trying to re-learn it? Birmingham was only 3 shows before this one.
  12. I love Robot Boy too. I think of it as more of an interlude than a song though.
  13. In Between (awful vocals imo) Hit The Floor (just don't like it) Given Up (childish beyond belief, but I love the vocals... I just put this here since I can't think of a third)
  14. Haha I love Chester's hyperness x)
  15. If you have seats, just arrive around half an hour before. People only wait in line for the pit because you can't see anything at the back
  16. I have a really stupid question.. x) but, do most bands have a live sound engineer? I've been to a lot of concerts and I don't recall seeing a box in the middle of the pit lol
  17. I don't know about LP specifically. For Bullet For My Valentine (and other Rock concerts) I've waited around 6 hours and always got front row and centre though
  18. Lol they say "you're the best crowd ever" to almost every show... but it works to get the crowd all pumped up lol
  19. That's probably the smarter decision, but I just can't give up the pit lol. So much energy and interaction
  20. I would if only I had gotten that iPhone >.<
  21. Actually, I love The Requiem opening.
  22. x) are you gonna like... wear snow pants or anything? haha I'm going with 4 other people... I think we might go by a group of 2 and 3 and switch every half hour or something xD
  23. I'm going I got the pit tickets... Yeah... Waiting during the coldest month of the year will suck (N)
  24. If this is true, I hope they fixed that... I just enjoy Chester's voice a lot more >.>
  25. Pit for sure For Bullet For My Valentine, I got there at 2:00 and there were like 20 people already there, but I ended up getting front row/centre because I ran faster than them haha. It was kind of rough though, I ended up with bruises on my legs/back/face but it was worth it Sucks because LP is Feb 7 2011 for me and beginning of February is the coldest time in Canada I'm really not sure if I can wait outside for 6 hours in -40 C :|
