  1. Probably Eminem... 741k is a big number, especially considering the amount of downloading that goes on now.
  2. I rarely post but reading this - honestly guys? You guys whine soooo much. Just be grateful they are going near you and enjoy the show. I know if they came here, I would happily dish up $400 to go see them. Honestly, $50-70/ticket is not too bad especially if they are upgrading multimedia because that stuff's expensive.
  3. And maybe 1 or 2 dates in Canada?
  4. Omg thank you -___-" Mike's forte is his creativity, art, and rapping... NOT singing. He needs to bring back his creative art and rapping... The song itself I think is pretty good, it's just I don't like Mike's part very much.
  5. Okay guys... So album is nearing and especially 'The Catalyst' since it's set to premier August 2nd (as we all know). Now since we're all in the digital age we can help out in small ways... and they will go a long way. It's our job to help LP beat Eminem and Kanye In Canada, LP is very poorly promoted... -Our music channel "MuchMusic" doesn't even have a news update about their new album or their new single. -MTV Canada hasn't talked about it -Radio mentioned nothing -Amazon/BestBuy/FutureShop/HMV Canada don't have A Thousand Suns listed -and this goes on. But I'd like to ask you guys to help out and send/call MuchMusic and request them to Premier "The Catalyst" -Phone: 416-340-7207 -E-mail: muchmail@muchmusic.com Just a short message saying "Hello, I'm a big fan of Linkin Park and I was hoping you would premier "The Catalyst" blah blah blah" If enough of us do it, they might actually take notice. Promoting has to take place early. Now if LP is poorly promoted in your country, list some contact details and the rest of us will (hopefully) help out by sending/calling in a request to help out.
  6. I know that it's heavily edited, it was just easy to use LIT as an example since most people have heard it. You can use pretty much any performance in '03 and prior to that... He uses that technique during a lot of songs... if you're so picky about editing, any audience recording from that time period (that was the key point) would do.
  7. Eminem's one of my favourite artists (have all his albums ) Haha if Linkin Park and Eminem Co-Headlined a tour (since I don't see either opening for each other) I think I might shit myself... (I would pay a good 4-500$ if they were to tour together xD) Oh and Breaking Benjamin, Bullet For My Valentine, 3 Doors Down... would make me happy.
  8. Uhh.. wrong. (I don't usually post, but I had to for this one.. ) Chester's voice did not change... I don't understand why people don't get it. Before 2004 he used a different technique, his voice is the exact same. Ex. Numb -Listen to LIT 2003. The verse was sung in his regular 'voice' and the chorus he uses this throaty technique that Don Gilmore mentioned in an interview - he would sing with 3 pitches, in turn, making it sound 'raspy', but Chester never had a raspy voice. When he did, the 3 pitches together is basically like 'screaming underneath with a pitch on top'. -In RTR 2008, the verse is the same (except not as youthful, but THAT'S age) but the chorus was sung in his regular voice, not with the throaty technique. I agree that he lost some of his power in his screams and his voice doesn't sound as strong, but the loss of the 'raspy voice' that was never there isn't true. He just never had a raspy voice. In 2001, his 'raspy' voice sounded different because he didn't master that technique yet (it's also really stressful on the voice so that's probably why he stopped).
  9. I'm a little nervous for it.. o. Edit: o. -> o.0
