  1. This.
  2. Could you maybe share them with us?
  3. Oh yeah - one of the best songs of the show, for sure! I rocked the fuck out during that song!
  4. Well, I kinda dislike how all people are always comparing FM with DBS. Maybe FM had more to offer back then, and their promotion was better, but you also have to think about the fact that times have changed a lot from 2005 (when FM's debut was released) until now. The music business has become very unstable and rough, and there is no end in sight. Both major and indie labels have been greatly affected from the digital revolution and the tough climate in the biz, so I'm not surprised that they have to cut costs nowadays, also regarding promotion. Of course this still sucks for us fans but it's a fact that things aren't going well for labels right now. I know what I'm talking about, by the way, because I've been working in the promotion side of labels for quite some time now. But instead of bitching about how weak the promotion for OOA is, I think we all should rather become active by ourselves and get the fucking word out about the album. It's the least we can do for a band as fans! Bands need the help of their fans more than ever today, especially when the official things don't work out as well as expected or as planned!
  5. I agree with you, dude! I think it would have been a pretty stupid move to cancel such an important performance just because it is semi-playback! But if they had pulled a Muse, I guess I would have laughed my fucking ass off! Imagine Ryan behind the drums, Amir playing the bass, Elias on keyboard and Brandon and Fu with a guitar!
  6. I disagree! I think AIC and DBS actually match very well! Besides, Chester is friends with them and has even come out onstage with them before. So I think it's totally awesome that they are gonna play together! If only DBS would also upport AIC on their European tour in late November (which I'm gonna attend, of course)!!!! I'd be like the happiest person ever *laughs*
  7. Don't you get the album in stores in Holland? Or maybe you could order it from Amazon Germany - I'm pretty convinced that way it wouldn't take like 2-4 weeks. *laughs* Same here, just with the JK guys. But maybe I'll order it at a later point if there are still any left. Apart from that, I also would have loved it to have lyrics in the booklet. I'm surprised there weren't even any credits!!
  8. OMG!!! Some of my favorite musicians (Chester, Slash, Dave Navarro, Travis Barker,...) playing together at the same show??!! The L.A. people are always so lucky *laughs*
  9. Wow, I pretty much loved that interview as well even though he might have gotten confused about some stuff *lol* The introduction is also written very well. I agree that this might be Chester's most honest project and I love how the whole band works so well together. What struck me was this quote: This means they are probably still gonna tour next year?? AWESOME!!!
  10. Oh yes, I liked that too! And I also liked the keyboard effects that they added in the second part of the intro! Awesome performance!!! Definitely!!
  11. Noo, I'm a huge Chester fan as well! Just not so much of a hip-hop fan, that's why Fort Minor surely loses against Dead By Sunrise!
  12. Here are some German ones if you also want to include them: 1LIVE Interview with Chester Laut.de Interview with Chester and Ryan (HILARIOUS STUFF! It's a must-read for German fans, and if I find the time I'm gonna translate it for you others!)
  13. No, you're not I think so too!
  14. I totally agree with everything that Astat and NoSunToday said... It might not be the best thing to do an instrumental playback... buuut.... that's how the music business works, and they would have been stupid to reject the show offer just because they can only do playback! And I think it's a great thing that they sang live at least
  15. It wouldn't actually surprise me if the album is being re-released in like 6 months or so with some more bonus stuff (maybe the acoustic tracks, more live tracks, or "Morning After") or even a DVD (with the Hamburg pro-shot and maybe some backstage/studio footage). A lot of bands do something like that nowadays because - of course - they and their label profit from it a lot; especially more popular bands!
  16. Why that? Judging from like videos and interviews or what? ^^ Do you seriously think Chester would surround himself with drug addicts until now, while being a former drug addict himself? Come on - that's stupid! Ryan might act like he's on drugs sometimes or he is really hyper - but that's just his personality! I'm very confident that he is NOT on drugs (anymore)!
  17. Thanks, dude, for the collection of links
  18. Yes, unfortunately I missed the group photo shoot but we were still in the venue hanging with JK! But it was nice to meet some of you even though I didn't get to talk to any of you that much except for Jonas! We from JK GERMANY met up with some guys from InsideTheTourbus.com before the show to talk about some stuff so I just saw your LPLive meeting spot from a distance.
  19. Haha, no, he was just sleep-deprived and jetlagged as hell! And I didn't hear him fucking up anything. I'd say it or agree with you if there was something wrong in my ears, but I thought the background vocals were really great - except for the fact that one could barely hear him singing at times! The microphone should have been tuned louder!
  20. From Blabbermouth: On September 30, multi-platinum rock band LINKIN PARK hosted a Grammy SoundChecks event for Grammy University Network students, a Grammy Foundation program that prepares students for careers in the music industry. Vocalist Mike Shinoda and guitarist Brad Delson invited a handful of Southern California college students into the recording studio for a question-and-answer session and demonstration of the band's writing/recording process. Using smash hit single "New Divide", which spent an incredible 14 weeks atop the Billboard Modern Rock Radio Chart, as an example, the band offered the students insight into the way LINKIN PARK crafts its songs. "Meeting the group made me wish I had been a part of a program like Grammy U when I was in college," says Shinoda. "Brad and I talked about it afterward and were impressed by the kids and their curiosity about the process and the direction of the industry. These are students who are immersed in a fresh new world of music, both artistically and professionally. They had a great sense of energy." [...]
  21. Yes, I will be there and can't fucking wait Would be nice to meet all of you!
  22. I just hope we Europeans will also get some bonus stuff *laughs* But I have no real worries about it, actually!
  23. Why that?
  24. Okay, thanks for clearing that up!
