  1. i'm going! coming all the way from western australia! oh, and if anyone needs tickets... i'll be selling two seated tickets in section BK413 PM me on here for details
  2. i'm going! coming all the way from western australia!
  3. yeh a mate told me about this very early yesterday - one of our local music video channels apparently broke the news over twitter. damn you LP! sending me broke, and announcing stuff after i've already booked flights! hehe. ah well, changing the flight from brisbane/perth to brisbane/newcastle is a piece of cake... and relatively cheap! looks like i'm adding another show to the list! woop!
  4. haha wow... they eat surprisingly healthy for a rock band! i was thinking though - surely these kinds of 'demands' now come from management rather than the band themselves? i thought those requests sounded pretty reasonable. surprised by the fact that there was 'no smoking/no alcohol' - i'm a drinker, but good on em
  5. listening to it on relatively small speakers at a relatively low volume - but dayum, either the mix or the performance (or both!) were pretty top-notch! sounds good to me!
  6. haha yes, a bit overboard i know but hey, had been saving with an LP tour in mind, and now i get to see a bit more of my country (and now some of the world too ;P). daaayyuummm... all this talk about losing LOATR! just once, just once i'd like to hear it live!
  7. i love how many times the word 'copy' is used in that description... kinda turns you off buying eh?
  8. leave out all the rest is one of my fave LP tracks - they didn't play it the last (and only time) they played in my city of perth, western australia. given that i'm attending 8 shows this year... i like my chances of finally seeing it live!!!
  9. it's absolutely hilarious reading some of the reactions on here... one song and all of a sudden a 'mediocre' setlist (by some standards) just shot up to the 'best setlist everzzzz!' i would lmao if that was the one and only time it gets played! (please don't take that the wrong way... i'd love to be there when they play the track! however, i honestly don't see how it could make that much of a difference to the remainder of the setlist! ) but massive respect to the guys for taking the total full-length tracks played up to 20!!!

    Live Setlists

hehe, totally didn't expect anyone else from australia to pipe up about this the actual young modern tour was pretty good in terms of setlist - saw them at both perth shows and each were substantially different from the other - a few song changes as well as the order in which they were played... but after their joint tour with powderfinger - the sets were barely different - BDO through to groovin the moo - in fact, all groovin the moo shows were identical, except for the first two where they played young modern station at the beginning (pretty sure that song opened every show starting with the across the great divide tour?). saw them at all groovin' the moo shows and still enjoyed em heaps!
  11. edit: nvm i found, i found! bit sh*tty tho... it's only a 'backstage tour' - which is probably done by someone in management/a roadie and would be pretty quick - i just got something similar with metallica, but free and got to hang out with james for about an hour!

    Live Setlists

i want to preface what i'm about to say by letting you all know that i am attending EIGHT shows this year... but i still believe the choice of what to play is entirely up to the band and i can not agree to this when creating a setlist - bands shouldn't be forced to think 'oh, but what if some of our fans are that committed they are coming to several shows... we should really cater to them'. think about it... those of us attending multiple shows are a minority. while i'd absolutely LOVE to see a different set played at each show - i know i can't expect that... so anything different that may happen will simply be a bonus in my eyes. not sure if any of you are familiar with the aussie band silverchair? they were big in the states many years ago with their first two albums frogstomp and freak show... you may remember the singles 'tomorrow', 'israel's son', 'abuse me', 'freak' and maybe even 'ana's song (open fire)'. they recently charted again with their tracks 'straight lines' and 'the greatest view'. i'm a bit of an obsessive fan of theirs too - and honest to god, in the last 2/3 years - their setlist has essentially remained the same... and i'm literally talking 2/3 years - not 2/3 shows. i think LP have a pretty killer setlist with the one they are playing now... and i still think it's WAY early days to start panicking about it not rotating. maybe we should wait before protesting?
  13. im going! (and coming all the way from australia too )
  14. yeh this was the same deal as australia last time... hoping they change that for this tour tho!
  15. oh, just realised - if you want to add my real name for both london shows it's mike thought there woulda been more attending the london shows?!
  16. nice one! when they played in australia last time, they didn't sell the downloads/cd-rs at the merch booths, so would be cool to see that this time at least we were finally able to purchase the audio!
  17. quick question... the seating that goes partially behind the stage... looks like it's blocked by the black walls to the right and left of the stage? was anyone who went able to confirm this?
  18. haha sweet! decided to take my bro - which im a little nervous about - now i have to be the responsible adult of the trip! might be booking my flights today for the brisbane show!
  19. i just got my ticket! can't believe i'm going!!!
  20. my bro and i will be attending both london shows (10th/11th)
