  1. i'm going! totally devo i didn't get a M&G - didn't think there were that many who registered for the perth show? then again, i heard only 4 people were at the M&G for newcastle... bit strange, maybe my register of attendance at these shows didn't work... who knows! i've got VIP tickets for tonight with a mate so can't wait! PS. love your work Hahninator! makes burswood sound far more glamorous than it really is hehe i kid, the place isn't bad actually... some of our best nights have taken place there i will be doing my usual twitter updates with regards to the setlist. fair chance i won't be recording tonight. i've taken my camera to each of the 4 shows i have attended so far. recorded 2 in their entirety and recorded a good portion of the other 2 (once in 3d!). might leave the camera be tonight and try enjoy myself really looking forward to it! now could work please go a little quicker today?
  2. haha that was pretty funny... they covered it pretty well with the clapping thing but it sounded very strange - loved the exchange of looks when that happened. wonder if it'll be corrected on the DSP?
  3. yeh know what you mean... i was hoping we'd be able to work out an option for original audio as well as DSP audio i know how to do that sort of stuff but really time-pressured at the moment what i might do is do a full conversion to xvid or something that is a little more easier to share/handle on players... the current files are over 10gb and not really playable on a number of devices. i'm pretty good at encoding so will be able to get a good result from it - hoping to get something together tomorrow before the perth show
  4. that's pretty cool i always pictured wretches being one of the singles from this album... the song just kicks way too much a**! really starting to love WTCFM as well - never used to all that much but love seeing it live
  5. wish i could have made it to this i think asking for one more day of unpaid leave may actually result in me losing my job haha
  6. as a few of you are aware... i got some great video at this... working with shadowfax1007 to get this mixed with the DSP when it becomes available... should be good!
  7. oh my! i thought that might have been them - the name sounded familiar... isn't that the band fronted by the dude who was dating one of the veronicas and went missing for weeks? they were god-awful in perth when they supported 30 seconds to mars. when they announced 'this will be our last song' people cheered like there was no tomorrow. i also lol'd when i heard this yelled out 'give your sister her jeans back!' they truly were atrocious. don't know how they scored a linkin park support act spot!
  8. this is the only aussie show i won't be able to attend i've had to take some unpaid leave from work to do all of the others so i think if i asked for another day i could actually lose my job lol. bit concerned about how the ticket sales are going to go for this one though... newcastle was announced very late as well - and according to the mates i stayed with while in newcastle, it wasn't advertised very much either - hence the fact that the gig only ended up being probably 60-70% full. bit disappointing but the band played a show matched to any other - if they were disappointed with the attendance you most certainly would not have known
  9. hey dude... went through the video last night and watched a fair bit on my 63" screen - looked pretty spectacular hey what is interesting is that the audio actually came out VERY decent as well - one thing i needed to let you know is that i did a battery exchange between OSC and the encore - so you might need to duplicate some of the video where it's just darkness to fill in the gap. sounds like you'd know how to do that no dramas. i arrived back home pretty late last night so didn't get enough time to start backing it up - will look for the USB drive tonight and get the files onto it. you going to any of the other aussie shows?
  10. hmm i'm glad im not the only one who's been wondering about this. even the screen at the back is totally different to what i saw in london. rather than the individual panels that rotate... it looks like one big sheet that has been pinned into that shape. but yeh, on the seating charts for the other shows i definitely remember seeing the diamond-shaped stage. one thing that makes me think it will no longer be happening though - is what the staff at the newcastle entertainment centre told me. i queried them as to why the newcastle show was starting at 7:45pm sharp (didn't happen anyways) and why there was no support band - the girls told me that they had to get all of the production equipment over to perth in time for the show here... so unless something else is happening in between, i expect to see the same stage setup in perth (at the very least). ps... im @MikeDiVirgilio on twitter and will hopefully continue to post the set-lists live for all other australian shows (except for canberra which is the only one i absolutely won't be able to get to :'()
  11. i'm going! my flight from perth to brisbane is later tonight... pretty excited looks like i didn't make the meet and greet list for this one unless the emails are somehow staggered... which i doubt
  12. got a few quick questions for you adam if that's cool? a mate and i are flying over from WA to attend the brisbane, newcastle, adelaide, sydney and melbourne shows... as the summit is now going to mean a flight change - would you recommend we fly in on the previous day (ie, additional activities on the 14th for example) or would flying in on the 15th (in the morning) still be fine? also... any chance the jam band will be happening again and if so... any idea on what song will be played (for those who wanna practice hehe!) thanks heaps dude... you do heaps for us so any help with the above would be super cool
  13. yeh that list seems a bit whack... also, the band did a bit of wretches at the soundcheck too. also, what setlist was points on? because i've got a copy given to me by the production manager and it was exactly as the band played that night.
  14. hey guys! going to keep this brief for now - bro and i left london this morning and just arrived in paris... so we're a little tired, a little under the weather and really, really hungry! yesterday and last night were absolutely incredible. the entire day was definitely a one of a kind experience. got off to a shaky start - breakfast didnt happen - and with all the queuing and waiting we did - we didn't eat lunch either... the activities that everyone was supposed to be able to choose one thing from got cut off early so a lot of us missed out... however, they well and truly made up for it once we were inside. others have already said what happened in there so i won't go over it again... but suffice to say, forgot how hungry i was the moment we stepped inside the O2 i was fortunate enough to win the backstage tour led by mike not once, but 5 times lol. guess that's what happens when you drop 80 pounds on raffle tickets :S good thing is i got to take my bro with me and gave one of the tickets away to a disabled lady - i hope she enjoyed it as much as we did. it was a very insightful and friendly backstage tour... some of the stuff mike and the production team discussed was incredible and very eye-opening. i've got a lot of this, as well as the acoustic performance, soundcheck, q&a, etc on video. unfortunately, given we are still away from home for another 2 weeks - it's going to be fairly difficult for me to process and upload... but i'll do my best to give you guys some snippets of it when i can. my brother and i also had VIP tickets, so once the summit finished and we fed our hungry guts at gourmet burger king (seriously, how good is that place!?)... we got led in by hugo to the actual actual back stage - im talking where all the guitars, etc are kept. they also took us on stage to get a photo with the crowd behind us, took a couple of pics of both of us holding mike and brad's guitars... very awesome! got to meet a lot of the crew, got taken into the catering room, pooch's mixing room, etc, etc. all of them were absolute gentlemen and went above and beyond expectations to make sure my bro and i were happy with the tour... also got given some drumsticks, a set list, a music for relief shirt and a signed photo... very impressed! we then got led into the venue and had to wait for pooch to get into the mixing area where he collected us and let us watch the show from directly behind him. it was an absolute experience and a half neither of us will ever forget. absolutely huge respect for mike, hugo, pooch and the rest of the production team for being so accommodating throughout the day and for being absolute gentlemen (and ladies!). also adam - well done for being able to keep your cool with all the stuff-ups that were happening... i think given it was your first summit you did an exceptional job and should be commended for it. PS. mike made mention near the end of the show about all the people who had travelled from around the world to come to the summit - he mentioned almost every country except ours!!! lol. poor aussies!!! PPS. guess that wasn't so brief lol
  15. i'm definitely hearing the higher pitch - it is barely noticeable though... so i guess, regardless of if was present or not - the DSP isn't reflective of what people heard on the night anyway (unless we can confirm it was more audible from different locations within the venue).
  16. woohoo! just arrived in london yesterday! gotta say - the place has impressed me so far!
  17. i seem to be the only one who can actually hear the effect in that youtube video? it is very distant and 'barely there' - could this not just be a result of the position this person was in and the effect not being very audible from there? of course, there may have been other LPlive users in attendance who could confirm or deny the sound mix sounding different depending on where they were in the venue.
  18. haha! same thing just happened to me, panicked and looked to here for answers glad to see others did the same as me lol
  19. i'll be there! and you better believe i'll be supporting LPLive!
  20. haha yeh im pretty stoked... also makes the cost of flying to brisbane then back home sorta worth it! darcy... you must be happy!!!
