  1. I also know what the surprise is, and its a good one. I wish I lived closer to Best Buy!!!
  2. A little bit more information: For those of you who have been keeping track, "Across The Line" is a brand new, unreleased song. It was recorded during the "Minutes To Midnight" sessions, and was originally entitled "Japan." We know a lot of the fans on the LPU boards have wanted to hear this song, in its entirety, for a long time. We're putting it on the LPU9 CD for you! From Mike's blog
  3. The LPU/LPL experiment by Scientist (very evil) Adam: Writes confusing posts and then has all the staff members scampering about like mice in a maze, trying to find a way to the right answer. Hmm. Anyway, I think the track listing is amazing and I really do hope its legitimate.

Its going on right now on twitter, its a HT vinyl. Go to LPU's twitter for details on how to win.
  5. I don't remember when I first starting listening to LP, I know that it was early 2001 because I was pregnant with my daughter, and she would start kicking me when certain songs came on the radio, and One Step Closer was one that made her very active, and not so nice to my kidneys.
  6. This is one of those few times I actually wish I lived closer to LA.
  7. San Francisco date coming soon I hope, or even Sacramento....
  8. I think this just got about a thousand times better. Mike's background is great imo.
  9. They aren't, each contestant gets to pick from that list of shows.
  10. The official rules say the winner must be available to travel between September 14th and December 31st, 2009. Almost Acoustic Christmas anyone? Its the only thing I can figure that LP will be playing.
  11. Amazing, I especially like the paintings of Andy Warhol, Kurt Cobain, James Dean and John Lennon. Well done all around.
  12. Amato sounds like an Italian name to me.
  13. I tried to get the back of it scanned too, but its been rolled up for so long getting to lay flat was annoying me, so i have it between two books right now.
  14. Working on it. Its one of those easier said than done type of things...
  15. After about six months of searching for the origin of the spoken lines in the Intro to the Summer Sanitarium set, I have finally found the source. There is a 1970 movie called Cromwell, starring Alec Guinness and Richard Harris, and the lines come from that film. This is part of what is included in the intro: You may be assured, l do not intend now to be schooled in my high office... ...by illiterate farm hands, cobblers... ...and basket weavers. My Lord Strafford, you will rid us of these troublemakers: Pym, lreton, all of them. If you haven't heard the intro itself, the download for it can be found here: http://www.4shared.com/file/106459477/581b...01_-_Intro.html And if you want to see the clip from the film itself: It can be found here, at 1:20 and at 7:33 approximately are the two sections used: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=184rUXbsBFE...feature=related
  16. I disagree, I am pretty sure that DBS will be on the live recordings, similar to what was done with Street Drum Corps at Projekt Revolution.
  17. I am so excited for this album now. It sounds like its going to be amazing.
  18. Much better. Still not enough of Phoenix though, wonder if they will ever explain his lack of appearances, I still think he hurt his hand more than they let on.
  19. Watching all of you scramble for more information is interesting. If the buyer chooses to share with the rest of the LP world, that would be great, but I am not holding my breath. Anyone willing to shell out over a grand for something that rare is probably not going to be so willing to share.
  20. Ok, reading through this thread, I am going to say this once, whether you believe he was innocent or guilty of the things he was accused of in the media, that is beyond the point now. This is not the place or time to debate on his personal issues. Respect the dead, regardless of what ever he may or may not have done in life. The staff here is asking that you all remain respectful in your comments. Thank you.
