Well, for kerrang to say that, lets just hope LP hasn't gone indie on us! (god forbid!) xD
-
My Own Summer (deftones cover) we seriously need a HQ rec of that!
-
Ah man, 100% agree with you there about this track. This, Faint, Qwerty, RME, BtH, PMA really makes me long for the whole summer Sonic show. The performances where perfection, and the mixing and the sound are terrific. LP where on top form in '06

I remmber Chaz saying "it'll be heavy without being metal" but I dont remmber him saying he'd scream more. And just because Chaz & Mike like Death metal bands LP ARE NOT GOING DEATH METAL Dream all you want guys, cause LP aren't going anywhere like that XD

1>2>9>6>4>8>7>5>3 The reason I don't hate 7 that much is mainly due to the fact I never botherd to download all the free DSP's like everyone else xD +I like having stuff on CD anyway. But I fully agree with everyone that it was probably the lazyiest LPU CD so far. That and 3. - which should have been on LIT in the first place.

MY favourite live moment has to be the encore @ the O2 in London, 2008. Brad creeped on stage a played an epic new solo/riff that sent chills down my spine, then just as suddenly, he hit the first few notes of the intro to a place for my head. Myself and the crowd just went insane and we experiance one of the most epic live performances of AP4MH ever performed. It was something we'd never forget.
-
A guitar or another instrument would be epic, but i dont see how you guys could have got ahold of one xD Brads amp he recorded the HTEP on? no way! give us another clue, is it old school or new LP? and are there 2nd & 3rd prizes too?
-
bloody hell, if you think their bad now, I wonder what you'd make of their gigs from 1998-2001 XD they where alot sloppier back then thats for sure!
-
argh why am i always the last one to hear terrible news like this? RIP Paul gray, one of the most talented bassists of his generation
-
Nar I still have hope. I mean, look at Given up. I know it wasn't exactly screamo, but his 16 seconds worth in the bridge beats anything hes done before that. Come to think of it, Bleed it out was quite a track too, and it wasn't exactly a heavy song xD So anythings possible for the next album.
-
nar, the only thing it would probably be is another track produced/remixed by mike. Stuff like that. I mean, I'd love to see DBS acoustic tracks on there + 20 eyes, but i REALLY doubt that. I'm now pretty certain we will never get those tracks
-
lol how can they be selfish? their perfectionists and take longer than most. At least the've updated us frequently. one of my other band I like (finger Eleven) haven't released an album in 4 years, and their website is dead of any news watsoever. I only know there working on a new album through a fansite through a forum member that actually knows the band personaly (and even he says it will be out next year the earliest!) LP are pretty much on time and on target as far as I'm consernd. I'll happly wait to Xmas to hear this CD. I dunno about you.
-
Yeah that must be it. I heard a bootleg of it ages ago and couldnt remmber where it was from since. I wonder if there are any vids of it? I'll check but i doubt there are... *EDIT* couldn't find any, but i remmbered Astat did a cover of the transition here: So heres the idea of what it sounds like. Badass huh?

+1111111 Man, knowing it was cut from Reanimation for being too dark just makes me what it more and more! Damnit. Mike, Chino, release this beasT!
-
Breaking the habit easily was the best, well made music video's LP has done up to this point. Faint's was badass. And One step closer, cause of how old school and classic it is.
-
What everyone's said so far, is pretty accurate. Forgotten - was basically forgotten as Astat says XD could be amazing with the playing chops the've learned since then. The old performaces where pretty sloppy! Hit the Floor - though alot people think this LP's worst track, i think its pretty cool. they could probably make the live version so much better now. Easier to Run - Could blend so well with the MTM tracks. But seriously, it was never given a chance! They only played it live once as far as i know. Nobodys listening - Same as HtF. I loved back in the day Brad & Phi swaped instuments when playing this song xD Figure.09 - Excellent heavy song. that extended outro they did that went into From the inside was sick. they should bring it back just for that alone.
-
Man, if they ever did a cover, they should do Sevendust's single "Broken Down" I mean, apart from sounding LPish it actually would go damn well next to Numb/New Divide and even Mikes Remix of "Enjoy the Silence" could be thrown in too. It even has that same 'Sampler' effect like sound Joe could play on it. listen here if ya don't believe me Ah great memories of 2004 with this song

Read this topic on LPAssociation, but I'll re-post here what i said there... As much as I'd like to disagree that a sucessfull band is determined by the music on their albums, but Mike is right. I saw a band recently at a pub. At first I wasnt sure I'd like them. Not my style, my least favourite genre, but as soon as they started playing I was transfixed. They had so much power ane energy in their playing, no matter what genre they where, they where GOOD. They kept their audiences attention, which i think if the most important thing you can do as a performing artisit. My band certainly has alot to work on with our live front. We have the orginalitly, style and great songs, but our next step is to see if they work in a live setting, otherwise we might as just stick to doing studio stuff. LP is a perfect example of this kinda thing working out. They started out writing & recording songs on their computors, but then they had to learn the tricks of the trade that made them as sucesssfull as they are today.

Ahh '21 stitches' was such a cool working title for Given Up. I wish they kept it for the song.

Fan Made Covert Art of Blackbirds [Updated]
1996_LP replied to hawk's topic in Everything Linkin Park
Careful now! Shinedown might sue you guys xD Anyway, awesome covers. Very Hitchcockesque the middle two! -
All are awesome in their own ways. If your in the mood for a quiet, introvert song listen to "Not Alone" if you fancy a big, sounding epic, play "New Divide" ironicly, the most incomplete tracks IMO are 'blackbirds' & 'Across the line' Both could be touched up here & there and they could be perfect all round (even 'no roads left' despite how perfect that one was, could have been even more epic if it had a longer bridge) I dont no if its just me, but I seriously think that sometimes LP are too scared to write songs longer than 3,4 minutes... xD
-
On a first listen: i like this song. Very interesting style/structure. I'll bet we'll really grow to love it. Must get a HQ copy of this song tho, the LPR rip sucks xD
-
Wow, am I late in this thread or what? xD I come in to find 8-bit has been released in new zeland, half expecting the song to leak by tomorow the earliest. But then, suddenly Blackbirds is all over the net and everyone has heard/got it xD Like someone has said before, if LPL is like this now, whats it gonna be like when the new albums out!? xD

To this day, how does No More Sorrow make you feel?
1996_LP replied to Legend's topic in Everything Linkin Park
Always be my no1# MtM song for me For people who think LP have gone soft post MTM, NMS contradicts everything -
Sort of. The only fact whe know about it is that it was written in the Xero era (along with Esaul, rhinestone etc) but As far as we know "pictureboard" has never been played live in Linkin park Era (pre 1999 maybe?). It's even doubtful that there was ever a studio recording of it either. So... the chances of it being played live are 0.8009999%
