  1. Ya know I'm starting to think the image on LP.com is actually a pixcelated version of what might be the album cover in the banner. I've used pixelation effect in Photoshop before, and it is possible to distort something to the point it looks like a bunch of giant grey pixels (like the tiwtter image on lp.com) Forgive me if this idea has already been proven, but then again, both could be redherrings.
  2. Tweeting for pixels = Another thing thats holding up the new album! Add it to the list Guys! xD
  3. It's gonna be a weird video, whatever it is xD
  4. Great list! & if you wanna be even more specific, chuck the "Rising Tide" instrumentals on there too. Some fan I am, I havent heard any of the 'other' FM tracks except the BBB remix
  5. Thats uncalled for, saying their both 'worth nothing' is going too far.
  6. well we certianly can't sample from other songs in the style of Fort Minor:We major. imagine the legal issues LP would have to face in releasing on an album! The whole point of the cataliyst remix contest is to create orginal stuff. Remix doesnt just mean "re-mix" & "re-layer the catalist snippets. record new piano, guitar parts or anything you like, as long as its your own work!
  7. there all great, but they need better fonts.
  8. wow who'd have thunk it? I must say I'm glad, that website was totally confusing & the mixer was slow and basically crap lol Hopefully mike will upload lossless mp3/flac's for us to use in our own mixers &/or link us to a better online one.
  9. An epic 6-9 minute instrumental in the style of both ASAP/Wake & C4TI/Session. Basically brad, phi & rob, laying down great riffs and a powerfull rhythm section while Joe scratches like crazy over the top.
  10. it depeneds on how long the songs are really. the band "Elbow" first album "asleep in the back" has 11 tracks yet clocks over 60 minutes as Many of the song are 5 or more minutes in length. In LP's case, they could get away with having more tracks on their albums due to their short lenghts (HT & MET barely over 35 mins) So, if the next album has less tracks, I'm hopinng they'll be longer songs, but I'd still dig a 14-17 track album with standard LP length songs. or find a comprimise: 45 -50 mins is a good length of an album. IMO
  11. what LP should do one day is pull a 'Deftones' and make a 'b-sides & rarities' album consisting of Tracks that AREN'T on LPU CD's like "No Roads left", "not Alone", "High Voltage remix" etc... At the moment, they dont have enough to do a full album, but one day would be good.
  12. argh I feel kinda bad that I don't no which one Brandon is. Is he the thin blonde one? Apart from Ryan & Amir I'll not well versed in whos-who of JK & DBS
  13. Why its so expensive really bugs me the most. I mean this is even more than I'd expect an unrapped Xero demo tape to sell these days. Granted its something unquie, and something most fans would revel in (myself included), but the sellers going too far. unless he reduced it drastically he should be taken down.
  14. What annoyed me was that I remmber Dave Grohl (foo fighters) critisising LP about sampling stuff live when how the **** are they suppost to play reversed keyboards/acoustic guitars parts!? xD LP sampling stuff is fine with me, its just when the band starts using backing tracks of the vocals & lip syncing for every performance then you can start to worry.
  15. Personaly, i think this is brad's most diverse/unquie album yet. Standout tracks: Valentines day, In Pieces, TLTGYA & Heavier doesn't always mean better. To be honest, its the heavy songs that are the weaskest tracks guitar wise (except GU's bridge & NMS' ebow part) true some of the really soft songs like LOATR, HHH & In between that are a bit weak and missing better guitar work but overall its a good album that really relies mostly on the layering of the instrumentals and how each complements one another. Tho IMO the HTEP still stands as benchmark of what brad can acchieve as a guitarist. A great mix of distorted and clean riffs with terrific effects and unquie chord proggressions and structures. In fact, apart from Technique each track one after the other is brads most creative work to date.
  16. HT back to back. Thats probably the most epic thing LP could ever do for it's anniversary!
  17. wow can you beleive it, when i got into LP 6 years ago I managed to hear the demo version first before the proper album version. Weird huh?

    What Next?

lol how ironic! Anyone know the "lie" count on HT?
  19. Exactly & as cool as HTF is musicially A.06 is superiour to it anyway. Great riffs, great drums/percussion, great samples/scratches. in a sense, HTF is a much more watered down version.

    QWERTY

SMS2YM is cool & all but I'd rather see Anouncement service public or A.06 again. Besides, I think it'll be difficult to perform anyway.
  21. with the HTEP included, It'll have to be for me... #1 HYBRID THEORY EP ------------almost every track is flawless, an each IMO are LP's best work carousel, step up, and one, part of me #2 MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT -------- great range in genre/style with many killer tracks wake, no more sorrow, in pieces, little things #3 HYBRID THEORY ------------------- the most soild album LP has done thus far. papercut, with you, PoA, Place for my head #4 METEORA -------------- great style, tho over produced Lying from you, Easier to Run, Figure.09, From the inside
  22. Weird, totally off-the-wall thread, but awesome at the same time! xD Figure.09 needs love people, we must show Mike & the rest of LP how much we love this gem! Oh, & i loved the little inclusion of the lyrics from the demo "all these things i could not say.." One of the best damn demos I've ever heard!
  23. I'd love to go. but its the expense, & i've probably left it too late now to get a decent spot xD I'm gonna ask my mate 2 see if hes interested. If not, I'll pass this time.

    QWERTY

Yeah I agree with most when it comes to QWERTY. if they ever do play it again they should play the '06 version. The studio version is good, but the summer sonic performance was pure perfection. They really didnt need to change a thing in the studio version at all.

    Proggy sound

Sounds epic. I hope this is true in some form. at the moment I'm thinkin a mix of New Divide & lockjaw with mikes rapping from blackbirds thrown in. Probably complelty wrong but who knows? xD
