  1. Awesome to see they're changing it up maybe not the songs I'd like but you can't have your cake and eat it hopefully they'll keep swapping little bits like they are doing so hopefully I see 2 different shows and they keep doing this through to the end of the australian tour
  2. Only special really for people that were there lol they could at least keep it in for the rest of the year just to show they appreciate HT becoming 10 being a big deal
  3. Sounds like it was similar to how it was over POA last year - not gonna lie fairly devastated right now that song needs to be back in in the full it adds so much it's unreal haha I want to see it so badly live
  4. Oh my God I might actually see this song live ! I really hope they don't play it just the once it's the one song I need to see live to die happy haha it seriously just made this the setlist f*cking superb and maybe do the rotating non-singles in its place but as long as I see it at manchester or birmingham I really don't mind or do it at both and that would potentially push me to insanity haha
  5. I wouldn't say unacceptable, but the money they are charging especially in germany I don't think the stage setup warrants all the extra money - the 2007 and 2008 winter production wasn't really that different so I can't see the massive price increase being justified. It wouldn't be hard to change 2/3 songs a night really even rotating sets there are a set of core songs that remain there but are just in a different order. Don't get me wrong the current set has lots of variation and it's cool but remember they are also doing 2 nights at the O2 in london they must know that maybe 30% of people there will be going to both nights - they really need to change something then :/ I just can't understand rotating setlists on previous tours and then stopping
  6. It's completely understandable they didn't start rotating until 2007 as up until then they didn't really have enough songs to make it much of a different show unless they'd have played half of reanimation as well... However, I do think now they have 4 albums and they're doing a european tour that hits one country 6 times and another country 5 times really the setlist should be rotating even if it was only 2/3 songs a night that's cool it adds something to the show I'd love them to do something unpredictable like Green Day - most of their set is the same but there are a couple of songs (and rare songs as well) that get switched in and out every night. If not this year which looks massively unlikely then next year they seriously need to up it and the stage design :/ Don't get me wrong I know I'll love the show in manchester but I'm sceptical about birmingham as it sounds like I'm gonna see exactly the same thing :|
  7. Even better Points of Authority segues into WTCFM haha that would actually make me lol at the show and points shouldn't replace papercut, but should be in there as well as it if they're gonna replace papercut do it with another HT song that hasn't been played in 4 years or more unless of course they want to play APFMH which I'll happily go mental to!
  8. Pyro isn't necessarily classless or dangerous seriously watch some videos of Rammstein it's actually quite impressive also I'd like to have at least some sort of screen in front of the supports beneath Rob and Joe's risers as it looks super boring seriously just adding a bit to the stage isn't detracting from the performance it just makes it look better but currently it looks like a half assed attempt to improve the stage from last year and 2008 :/ but that's just my view
  9. Why is everyone so impressed by the stage...it's the same as it was in South America minus the triangle front and fairly dull compared to what it was supposedly going to be :/ it's exactly what chester said it wouldn't be - the band and a screen behind them - there's nothing impressive except the video scratching when joe does. Don't get me wrong I'm fine with that 'cause the band seem pretty on form currently but we were promised a multimedia experience which this really isn't I mean even pyro would probably improve it...maybe they're gonna change it up next year instead but I really wish they'd at least change/add a few songs to the setlist as they're doing so many dates in Germany and the UK if they're not gonna rotate sets and bearing in mind I'm seeing 2 shows I really hope I don't see the exact same thing twice :| I assume it's all gonna get changed up in the US next year I just wonder whether the band are gonna be doing festivals in the summer or if it's gonna be more arena dates as they've confirmed they're back in Europe next summer :/
  10. I do actually like metal hammer 'cause despite this blog in their podcasts the guys that do them (gill and beez) acually have a much broader music range than this guy and have mentioned they don't mind the album and are currently into a lot of hip-hop. Unfortunately this guy pops up every now and again and has METULZ RAGE!
  11. Metal Hammer blogger Dom Lawson recently listened to ATS and wasn't particularly impressed. Despite me actually really enjoying ATS I do find what he's written quite funny... "The good news, of course, is that I’m really not enjoying the new Linkin Park album. It’s fucking diabolical, as you may have already realised. I’ve heard more exciting noises coming out of my arse at 6.30am after a night on the Guinness. I felt more inclined to head bang when I was suffering from whiplash after a nasty car accident. I haven’t heard such pitiful rapping since the last time Fred Durst tried to convince the world that he was a badass, as opposed to a massive berk (AND JUST IN CASE YOU GIVE A SHIT, I PREFER LIMP BIZKIT TO LINKIN PARK!!!! I’M NOT TOTALLY DERANGED!!!)." The full article is available at Metal Hammer
  12. I was gonna say where are the rest of the band but then I figured they'll be on the other 5 stages - that's a pretty sick set up and already beats last year and summer 08 shows and there's not even a back of a stage haha
  13. Lol at how he seems to think LP rip off RATM with WAK - WTF!? I don't listen to rage that much but I listen to enough to know that WAK is nothing like rage lol for starters there's little to no guitar in it so he clearly gave this album a proper listen before reviewing it haha!!! The only similarity is the political message but even in that the way they incorporated savio into the song is still completely different from rage. I'm not saying for a minute the album is going to be amazing because it's LP as I've heard 3 full songs (4 counting empty spaces but it's only 18 seconds) from it which aren't bad but aren't the best thing I've ever heard and don't sound as new age and amazing as the band made out but I'm holding off praising or slamming anything before I've had it in my laptop next monday at full blast with earphones in. But I daresay it'll be a grower if it's gonna get me.
  14. Just putting it out there - but it sounds like this is what is in empty spaces though I may be wrong - what does anyone else think. Apologies if anyone brought this up in another thread
  15. Pretty sure leftshoe got the last two lines right that sounds the closest, but I'd go for clear and sure rather than tall and the lines static in the wind and fire in the wind sound more like way than wind but maybe that's just me...
  16. o2 is actually 23000 and men holds 19000 Right I'm not generally one to moan, but LP makes far more money in Europe than they do in the US so we're hardly lucky they come over here...hence why they did a string of european shows last year and 1 US show Anyway on the shorter set thing...I paid £35 in 2008 to see them in an arena and they played 21 songs and then paid £45 to see them at MK where they played 23 songs along with 5/6 bands supporting. I've now paid £45-£50 to see them this year to see them do a shorter set - it's not really equating to me even with their fancy lights or whatever - I just saw Prodigy at MK with 10 or so support bands and they had the craziest lights show with lasers I've ever seen and that cost £45 so already seems a bit steep not to mention I paid £40 to watch Green Day for 3 hours at Wembley Stadium. Everything LP seems to be getting more and more expensive with little to show for the extra expense, though admittedly the LPU is apparently gonna be amazing. I don't understand this we haven't played live for a while so we're playing a shorter length of time - metallica (yes they get brought up a lot but that's 'cause they know how to be awesome) have played a two hour set for god knows how many years now - even warm up shows are still 2 hours - if they genuinely find it hard they should rehearse plenty of time before the first show so they are ready to go out and kick ass and not be rehearsing in front of 60000 people in chile or whatever. As for the poll it would be better on the LPU and would partly make $60 worth something providing they don't just do it for the US and would be more advisable to put a picture of the current set up and 2/3 songs they would like added to the setlist then it wouldn't just be in the end, numb and what I've done
  17. Right we already have a bth demo for lpu 9 they overdid live versions of the song let's not overdo demos as well! Also there was a tltgya demo lpu9 so let's not have another I'm up for anything we don't have already - don't car what era
  18. Right well that was one massive reading session... Much, much more information is needed on this before I go anywhere near it - I'm not feeling this at all, I think the MetClub is overpriced for a fan club but the benefits there far outshine this. The only selling points currently are one unreleased song that's potentially gonna be on the CD anyway and the NYC show/LA laser listening party - both only available to fans in select areas of the US...kinda lame. Don't get me wrong an exclusive show for the LPU is awesome but not as a selling point for $60 membership for people all over the world as it is only happening in one place. I have the money to buy this as well but I refuse to until I see the full package and whether it is actually worth it and someone made the point earlier that the fanclub was to give back to the fans not rape their wallets to the last end which is the key point in all of this. Adam please just release some more info on this rather than being super vague. And, finally I too bought the package for CDs etc. not for the experience with the band as I've never had one, the one experience I had with the band was with Chester after a DBS show and that was cause I was smart enough to stay around after the show nothing to do with the LPU. I don't want to bash the LPU 'cause I thought throughout 9 that adam and the guys did a great job but we need some justification on this price otherwise this thing will get super bad press...I've been a fan since HT so it's not like I'm a noob if you honestly want to bring that up but seriously $27 was enough for what we get as the prices aren't including shipping overseas... One final thing my LPU membership doesn't run out til february so does this mean I have until february or does everything cancel in october, if not can I still get m&gs at shows in november or do you have to join LPUX for that priviledge 'cause we paid for that with LPU9 and yet not one show occurred within that time...?
  19. How all those elements end up in one song is beyond me to be honest haha but the 15 seconds we got out of 4:39 sounded pretty sick lol
  20. To be honest it's not too difficult to determine which songs are which as they listened to the album in order - the only hard bit is where ana lost a track but by the sounds of it it's going to segue from one track to another rather than stop start
  21. To be honest I think newcastle may be the closest the band gets to scotland, however this now gives hope for sheffield the day after and the possibility of dublin and cardiff
  22. So that's 8pm here in the UK, well I daresay Zane Lowe will have already played it by then...or will be playing it at 8 o'clock oh well I didn't order it so that I got the single early anyway so no great loss
  23. Apart from manchester as far as I'm aware the rest of the UK shows haven't shipped yet - I don't have my birmingham ticket yet but ordered about 2 mins after manchester lol so they will come in just give them time to be shipped
  24. I think this is a new thing with warner - they just put a7x's welcome to the family in COD and now LP in MOH could be a new marketing thing they are trying? Not a bad way to go about it either if I'm honest...
  25. Well not really good news when the singer of your favourite band is about to ripped to bits in 3D but each to their own lol and there'll be all the jokes from haters of the band but whatever haha
