  1. Though my chances of going to this gig aren't great it gets bonus points for not having my passion! I saw them support innerpartysystem last year and the lead singer wore the tightest jeans youll ever see so you could clearly see his manhood and he practically stood over me - I don't think I've ever felt so sick in my life as for the music it was so so but feel free to catch an eyeful yourself lol
  2. As long as the song is released either in a special fan edition or itunes bonus track that's awesome! I wish I had some sort of musical creativity to get on this but sadly I don't haha I just hope the actual song on the album is solely Linkin Park and the remix/edited song is separate which is awesome - good luck everyone who enters though I have a feeling it will be US only as they may end up flying someone into LA to go into the studio
  3. Admittedly I've never seen Muse live but I would challenge that Green Day are the best live band at the minute and I saw that someone brought them up earlier and agree on adding more songs and playing minimum 2 hours now - Green Day play nearly 3 hours and it never gets dull! I'm still looking forward to the visual-multimedia experience of this new tour and my tickets for manchester came already and they only went on sale like 10 days ago
  4. Well at least it's been phrased so it seems like it will be confirmed at some point rathr than saying outright the show is not going to happen
  5. It seems like shows are only getting confirmed once the rumour hits the newswire on here haha - here's hoping this will be my third of four uk shows in november
  6. There are a lot of rumours about 06/11 in Sheffield as well which would make sense and I wouldn't be surprised if we get another date in between that and Manchester either in Liverpool or Nottingham - was gonna go to all shows but may limit it to northern shows due to cost
  7. I initially thought it would be an album promo tour but it's not beyond the bounds of possibility that it could be a hybrid theory tour (doubt it though lol) however if they are going to germany they'll be coming to the uk for sure!
  8. Finally an LP tour for this year only slight disappointment is that they're playing frankfurt on my birthday and it would have been awesome for that show to be in England - ah well I'm definitely going to more than one show
  9. Same as my username on here - friends with a few of you already and a few random people not too fussed about being first in the world but I think it's a good laugh

    ...?

Like a CD with 9 unreleased demos, with a song from the MTM sessions that's never before been released...
  11. The festival thing is confusing me a little... Why would any festival tell Linkin Park they can't record and release the show they played when Metallica play many of the same festivals and release every single show... This includes Rock am Ring, Rock in Rio, Download, Sonisphere etc. Why let one band record it but not another...? And it's obviously not at a price 'cause Metallica sell every show at $9.99 unless you get FLAC, so would anyone like to hazard an explanation as to why Metallica can do this and not LP?

    Mike's Answer

He's just posted the second batch of questions that he answered...once again nothing too interesting. However, for all the fans in countries that LP has never visited and constantly moan about not having an LP show - he has actually tried to give reasonable advice, which is more helpful than most people would be haha! Q: “When will you come to my country?” – Everyone M: There are fans from all over the world who always ask this question. There were some of you from South America, the Middle East, and Africa that posted here, asking this same question once again…I don’t know the answer. But if you’re serious about making it happen, here’s something that might help: show your biggest concert promoters that there will be a massive Linkin Park fanbase attending the (potential) show. One idea: start a petition. Make it known to the people who promote the biggest concerts in your area; but keep in mind that there would probably have to be about 15,000-30,000 LOCAL NAMES on that petition in order for it to work. Then the concert promoters will say, “great, we’ll have a successful show here,” and they would work on making it happen…But if you’re just asking because you didn’t have a better question, that’s fine, too
  13. Just to let you all know - setlist was same band were really into it, chester was jumping around like he was in his mid 20s again and also came in the crowd a couple of times and during Condemned he came in the crowd to sing with alex 'gigascythe' but i'll let him tell you about it - he has a sick story to tell. After the show vhester again came down front to shake everyone's hand and ryan was posing for everyone haha! And if that wasn't enough we waited round the back and managed to get an autograph and picture with chester!! I've only waited 9 years Overall epic show!
  14. I believe my name is missing from the London show if anyone would care to add it in
  15. I actually hope it doesn't mean new music! I really would like them to concentrate on the album rather than losing focus at this point otherwise it could be even longer before we get it. Don't get me wrong I hope they donate something, but not another break from making the album that wasn't gonna take too long to make :/
  16. I would imagine from the recent updates we've had from Mike the album will be out this year, either by June or at least a release date by June. They have 5 songs as good as finished, they're working on the last 15 - now unless something goes tits up, I'd say it'll take 3-4 months max to get those songs finished bearing in mind it only took them a month to get 5 as good as done, some of you will think I'm optimistic, but I think 2011 is a silly estimate now unless they suddenly scrap these 20 songs
  17. True! As metallica put it - this year has been Death Magnetic. Also it only just occurred to me I saw him play his last ever show
  18. Glad you posted this on the main page! Really gutted about this, but glad I got to see them before he passed away. What I can't understand is why were firefighters there if he died of natural causes :/
  19. Or...go the smart option and pick Subway
  20. Hmm...well with you saying their first show might not be until august, they may end up doing Reading/Leeds. To be honest though I'd rather them start somewhere other than England so Chester can sort his voice out by the time I see him live Would be nice to have an arena show (it's better in so many ways - get more of a lights show, music is louder etc.) around november/december though
  21. The only ones I have are from shows I attended - Sheffield '08 and Milton Keynes '08. I'm not too fussed about having them all though it is nice to hear particularly rare/cool things they did in a particular set i.e macao. The only complaint about the mixing is Joe is very hard to make out - listen to the DSP from MK and then listen to RTR, his scratching and samples are 10x louder
  22. What I meant was they used to have a much greater popularity than they have now, their hardcore fans stuck with them...but that's about it. When Korn play festivals though they never have a headlining slot though and they've never done like a huge show (40000+) headlined by themselves - Family Values wasn't that big. Muse actually have actually a lot of records and are in much greater demand than Korn, I think I see the point you're trying to make but Muse was the wrong example
  23. 1.Korn play small venues because they really aren't that big anymore as they didn't change their music style...unlike LP hence their popularity decreased Fortunately Adam has already cleared up the label issue...but another example for you - check out the most recent Slipknot setlist and see which album it came from I think they were possibly on tour for 324 days I remember that being mentioned somewhere - potentially 2001. Thank you for posting this to prove the label doesn't have such power However, I do disagree with your second point - LP may want to play their new songs but when it's the same new song every night for 2 years and god knows how many touring cycles, how long is the song stay new? Surely it would be refreshing to drop a newer song that's been played every show for the last 2 years and add a song they haven't played or a few years? I have a few friends that like LP but think I'm far too obsessed with them - but they still say the set was pretty much the same and would like to hear at the least APFMH - yes that exact song. Another guy at Sonisphere can't have been that big a fan of LP cause he moaned for a bit of the set but was upset they didn't play Papercut. To me even casual fans want to hear older songs - it's simple. Even if they only increase the set time to 1:45 they could still add 3 songs that haven't been heard in a few years - fair enough if they don't play runaway cause chester doesn't like it, but With You, Forgotten (literally), Figure.09, maybe even ETR and obviously APFMH - seriously it's the same songs asked for over and over again - surely it must start sinking in soon. I hope that Mike misunderstood the question and thought the question was about HTEP rather than HT/Meteora
  24. Just ordered my pair - not taking risk with it being limited to 500 pairs of waiting for them to come up on amazon so thought i'd risk it - just hope i don't get nailed on tax for bringing them into country
  25. This video contains part of let down as well as Chester farting on Brandon - check it out
