  1. Oh wow. I guess I haven't paid enough attention to that version of the song.
  2. oh my god I love this. you can definitely tell the difference, even on youtube. the organ part at :48 - :53 sounds great, I've always loved that sound in this song. you can hear a difference in Mike's voice (a tad more echo-y) and the thump of Rob's drum beat is more prominent. edit: Chester's high harmony is more audible right at the end of the second verse and the bass during the big let it go/final chorus is louder. After hearing all this, I'm afraid I won't be able to accept any music not mixed in 7.1.
  3. Dead By Sunrise never had any real hype. (yes I realize this is an old topic. in hindsight though.)
  4. I'd love it if one year the LPU CD was an official EP release. So somewhere around 6 totally finished songs. B-sides, or maybe even music written just for that release.
  5. He said he was excited to work on a new album. not release the new album.
  6. In no particular order: (full band/multiple instruments) Crawling In The End Leave Out All The Rest The Messenger Numb Robot Boy Rolling In The Deep We Used To Wait (Arcade Fire cover) What I've Done Hands Held High (piano versions) Pushing Me Away My December Breaking The Habit Iridescent I know both Chester and Mike really like Arcade Fire, and their music is perfect for Unplugged sessions. Stripped down version of Robot Boy. The Piano version of Iridescent that Mike seemed very excited to do in that one LPTV episode. Hands Held High would be an interesting one. There's two ways they could go about doing it. A more full band version, with guitar, drums, etc. Or, a piano version. Mike's delivery on the raps could sound really great and powerful, almost like spoken word poetry. Hell, maybe even forget the piano and let Mike perform it solo.
  7. Papercut and Bleed It Out didn't work well because the tempos were too different. So I wouldn't really wanna see that again. Mike could rap RME over Faint though.
  8. Nah I wouldn't get my hopes up for that. During the live show whenever they get into the solo part, the visuals just end and they only show the band members. Same with Bleed It Out and OSC.
  9. For real. They should have released them with ATS+.
  10. I dunno. Brad has the build of a pot smoker. Dresses like one too. It's a shame interviews like this probably go unnoticed to people who aren't hardcore fans. It would probably change their perspective on LP's change in direction. Too many people call it selling out, which is pretty ignorant of them.
  11. This is about right. They have from now until September to be in the studio on and off, then touring through the fall while still writing music but no real big recording sessions, the holidays in late December/early January, then early 2012 is when they'll probably really get into the studio to start recording and finishing what they have. Depending on how quick that goes, say it goes four - six months, then mixing, mastering, and promoting in the summer/early fall, it could be out Winter 2012. But basically anyone who was holding out hopes for a 2011 release will be rightfully disappointed.
  12. Just got mine. I love the shirt. I'm also pretty excited for the SURU and Club Tattoo discounts.
  13. XD this is so oddly specific that is almost sounds like a joke.
  14. I've said this a couple times already, but it's worth reiterating: The iTunes festival show was probably the best show they've played since ATS came out. In fact, I want to say it's the best they played since MTM came out. It was really kick-ass (and I wasn't even there. I can't imagine how the people who went felt). I think the band could do Robot Boy live, I just don't think it would sound great. Though there are many layered vocals in the song, there is clearly a main melody. Chester could just sing that main melody, and Mike could sing a harmony or just double Chester's melody. They could also probably sample some vocals, though I'd rather they not do that as often as possible. I would rather just not hear one of the vocal melodies than have them just sample it. I want a live performance. If you don't have enough singers to perform all the vocal parts you have, then so be it, one harmony isn't going to be sung.
  15. I'm guessing you like Nine Inch Nails but don't like Adele? The quality of a performance is not determined by whether or not you you like the artist the song is done by. It's not who or what Linkin Park is covering, but how they cover it. Chester did a fantastic job both times.
  16. When They Come For Me is pretty heavy. Just because it's not distorted guitar doesn't mean it isn't heavy.
  17. I'm sorry, were we watching the same webcast? There was not a single "boring" thing about the show Linkin Park just played. Unless you're just judging the show by the setlist, in which case you are suffering from setlist-trading-card-syndrome.
  18. Okay. Okay. Okay. That was a fucking awesome show. Seriously. My dick hurts. I was having flashbacks to 2004. Like, I don't even have words to describe it. Everything was insane and sounded fantastic.
  19. It's called self control. Maybe you don't realize this, but you just typed "FUCK YOU" directed at Mike Shinoda. That's kind of really disrespectful.
  20. If you download itunes I'm 99% sure you have to make an account too.
  21. RAWR YOU CARE MORE ABOUT SEEING LINKIN PARK THAN THE LIVES OF THE PEOPLE IN JAPAN. see how silly this is? and I agree, $500 dollars seems worth it for more than one reason, as I stated in an earlier post.
  22. Yes. Also, to anyone you already has itunes, it needs to be version 10.3 or higher. So if you haven't updated for some reason, make sure you do.
  23. Well I want to talk to everyone! and I'm too lazy to type a post like that again with different words. lulz.
