Haha I remember looking at those old text files too, before this was really a fansite. Back then it was just a reference tool and look what we've built around that! Awesome job to anyone and everyone who has been a part of this but this is just the beginning...it's time for a complete LPL takeover!

What I was getting at was that if what the game dev in Hamburg said is true and this song was written solely for 8BR then LP would have the game planned since before the iPhone was released. Also, it's my understanding from the Meteora and MTM DVD's that strings are the last thing recorded meaning the song is otherwise done. So the only way this song could be written exclusively for 8BR is if they did something similar to Not Alone and rewrote lyrics or something. Then I guess that would technically mean the song was written only for 8BR.

A developer at the event was discussing when the song was written. So I don't see how talking about it in a topic about the event is off topic.

It's not spam if it's related to the topic. 8BR=Blackbirds, therefore I can discuss the song in any way I please. I'm not going to believe that this is not the 6th string song until I hear it from Mike Shinoda. Astat mentioned in another thread that both Not Alone and Across The Line were promoted as brand new when in fact that wasn't entirely the truth. It believe the same thing is going on here.

This song was written during the MTM recording sessions. Because I am sure that it is the same as the 6SS. But this would mean they were already considering a game in 06/07 before the iPhone was even released (and the app store wasn't around for another year after that!) It doesn't add up.

I played in a few high school football games at Texas Stadium and was at what has been called the best high school football game ever (it was the school I eventually played for, Plano East) Sad day

For all you talking about Blackbirds leaking...the chances are slim to none. The only way it could is if an app review site gets a copy of the game early for reviewing purposes and if that happens they likely won't leak the song for fear of losing their opportunity to review apps early.
