I think Lost will be out by anywhere from today to Wednesday/Thursday (It’ll likely be on Wednesday/Thursday with the announcement or maybe Thursday/Friday).

yes. LinkingPark-Numb.exe I believe represents the entire box set. The announcement of it that is, we know it’s coming in March. (not gonna spoil the day for people who haven’t seen)

I don’t mean to be that annoying guy but I said before, Lost is not a Numb demo. It’s its own song. The two songs don’t even sound remotely the same. It wouldn’t make sense for Lost to be a Numb demo, if they said it was a “fully realized” track.

YES! METEORA 20 RING IT IN!!!! Also Veterans Stadium 2003 is a show I’ve wanted in full for a long time. Just realized it was the Summer Sanitarium show (July 12th). That’s the one.

That is possible. But I feel like if they dropped a Numb demo it’ll probably be in March at some point. A numb demo isn’t even listed, sadly. Same with Sick (Don’t Stay demo). Numb and Nobody’s Listening may not have had full enough demos possibly, and the final version we’ve heard might be too similar to the demo version. Sick, though we know it’s different, more “reggae rock” like I think Mike described it. That could be interesting to hear. Either way, even though we all know it’s coming, I’m still going to freak out the day I see “Lost (Official Audio) - Linkin Park” on youtube.

Yooo!! February 1st! Can’t wait!! Also, I think it’s called Numb.exe just because it’s their biggest hit single from Meteora. Just my guess. Lost is said to be the first track we’re getting, and it’s a completely new song, not a demo of Numb.

I have a feeling it’ll be more of a melodic Chester song. That super melodic lead sample we’ve heard in those clips is very unique. So excited to hear it.

The Meteora 20 announcement was up on warner records store for like an hour today but then suddenly removed. What could this mean? It seemed like they were teasing it but nothings been disclosed yet by the band. I get this funny feeling it was a tease for the official reveal coming tomorrow. what do y’all think? they might hold out till Monday but why would they put it all out, everything today if it was coming Monday and not tomorrow? I think tomorrow makes for a perfect reveal date.. but let’s not get too excited or ahead of ourselves and just wait and see what’s new tomorrow..

Nice!! I’m guessing that’s gonna come with a lot of unseen footage! Like how we got “Sequel to the DVD with the worst name we’ve ever come up with” for HT20, this is probably gonna be a sequel to Making of Meteora!!

i’m just so excited to finally hear thoughts that take away my pride man. I know it’s called Lost but I’ll forever think of it as thoughts that take away my pride or take away my pride. That name has been for it so long. I really can’t wait to hear the full lyrics though. If I had to guess it’s probably a song about feeling against yourself at things that happened in the past, and as a result feeling lost, similar to Easier To Run and Somewhere I Belong.

This is great you guys! It’s awesome to see an official announcement by Warner. I’m thinking the band is gonna announce it very very soon now. Excited to hear “Lost”, excited for the new DVDs lost demos and other neat stuff we’re getting for this too. And of course, the box set itself. I wonder what it’s gonna look like. It seems like the cover might be blue instead of gold? We’ll have to wait and see but i’m super hyped for this release!

they did it with HT20 so of course they’re gonna do it with Meteora20. It’s LP’s incredible hype building yet mysterious style of doing teasers, and that’s something I love about them.

No, I think LPCatalog is part of the LPU, so it’s run by the band. Someone correct me if i’m wrong please. I’m not the biggest OG Linkin Parker so I don’t have enough knowledge of LPCatalog to know for sure, but I’ve heard of it before.

probably the first version will be the single, and be the finalized track recorded at NRG (late 2002, and maybe the track was even considered up to early 2003), latest in its recording process. the second version is probably a demo version recorded before the band entered NRG (possibly mid-2002). That was my guess. Either that or just different lyrics and/or a different sound mix. (Sound mix heard in Summer Sanitarium and Mikes Shirt LPTV videos as a background seed, was likely the final mix (instrumental), since those videos date 2007)

I’ve come to a bit a conclusion that if we’re getting the first song this month like everyone thinks, I’m thinking the first track “Lost” is dropping as a single either the 26th (Thursday, tomorrow), 27th (Friday), or 30th (Monday). That’s my last theory until something gets revealed.

with that in mind, it’s a possibility that maybe, we might hear “Lost” for the first time, on Friday, January 27th. just putting that out there. If i’m right, i’ll be shocked, but i’m not expecting it to be. It just seems to make since because it’s the last Friday of the month, that’s it.

The next announcement is probably going to be on linkinpark.com, then the new song release on youtube, followed by social media announcements before the album gets announced everywhere. Just my theory.
