  1. Session and Numb share a lot of Joe’s effects samples. I was saying those similarities make it clear it was probably always intended to be with Session before the album was put together/sequenced, during the process.
  2. No, no. I forgot to clarify. I was talking about Session and Numb.
  3. Nope. It’s clearly meant to be an inside joke lol. I always thought it was just at someone in the studio named Randy. It’s the same as when Chester said “I ordered a frappuccino where’s my fucking frappuccino?” on the other song. Out of context intro, just even less context this time.
  4. Well I actually wonder what if Numb’s working title was “Untitled II”. Like Figure.09 and Plaster II. Lol, FAR more likely that it being “Session”. It doesn’t make sense to the red song board’s status or anything going by what we know about that album process at all. Other than that, the two tracks share a lot of instrumentation. I really think Numb was just created to be a track that Session could properly open for, and it turned into an amazing song, very quickly.
  5. Cool little thing I stumbled across today, so this vinyl was used by Joe for Meteora songs live back in the day. Side B along with Numb and Session, there are 2 samples that are specific to Lost. 24:12 (The other two are Numb's, but the vocal "AH" sample belongs to Lost's verse.) 25:26 (This is on both Numb and Lost I think but this version is from the first half of Lost's bridge, with Joe doing cool in and out effects with it.) Time stamps are 24:12, and 25:28 (NOISE WARNING) They typically got all of the samples and sounds that Joe does his scratching on for live shows ready on the vinyl during mixing which we know Lost did make it through for Meteora. Interesting to find this again now, I forgot about it.
  6. This is true. And it’s also mostly they kind of put together the package without really paying attention to certain things that matter within any album. With the transitions issue, still this collection is an album on streaming. It will be played start to finish and should connect the songs together well and they just didn’t treat it that way.
  7. Not my point. Im well aware of Warner. I meant the label too. They can still fuck up and they do. They without a doubt have enough resources, but still somehow miss really important details like this. Believe it or not even the major labels still have a lot to learn or even re-learn to get things right sometimes! Same things happen with companies, even congress, any group of people working in major fields. People individually or with 300 others, can and do make stupid mistakes. A label isn’t a run by a label, it’s run by people. Again, im not defending the label or their actions. I think they should’ve done better and yeah it’s a little disappointing.
  8. To be fair like HT20 was a first for the band, but look at the second time they did it with Meteora20, that was a quality step up. This is a first too, being the first time they’re doing an inter-album collection like this. Not saying it is an excuse to any fuck ups though, at all. If they genuinely made mistakes, they’ll learn to improve from them and not do it again. Believe it or not even the most sophisticated professionals still can mess shit up in their most skilled areas.
  9. I wonder why no actual lengths of the songs have been listed in the tracklisting, do they usually wait to the release to put the lengths? I can’t remember if they waited with Meteora20. (I know we had the leaks though) Maybe it’s just they don’t need to cause everyone knows the songs and the lengths already, though. Still kind of odd not to include it in the info section.
  10. The only thing confusing about that is not getting them for Lost, a single. Maybe it’s because it was on a “demo” CD idrk. Maybe we’ll still get them one day though.
  11. I wouldn’t say we’re devolving, we’re really just sharing what we think about the release. I wouldn’t complain personally but I’d like it if more songs had these, so we don’t have to rip the tracks with flawed AI that we pay for. Not a fan of OML as much as other things LP did. Now an official Acapella/instrumental of Lost would’ve had me jumping in my boots. But I’m happy and glad they’re still putting out stuff whatever it is I’m definitely willing to listen to it. I’ve still got my personal opinion that Meteora is a better album than OML. So I’m just not super stoked about a Friendly Fire instrumental and acapella. Doesn’t mean I’m not grateful for everything LP has given to us throughout all these years. And also, obviously but of course, being a fan doesn’t mean you have to love everything a band has ever created.
  12. There’s always a working name given to any track the band starts a session on. Even further, In the Hybrid Theory and Meteora days, the band always created a track before recording vocals. It definitely has something a working title even though it came together quick. It just doesn’t probably doesn’t have a demo. Since there’s no real (different at all from the final) demo for Numb probably, knowing the working title for Numb would be really just for the sake of knowing and also to put it up there on Linkinpedia of course.
  13. We’ve not confirmed how early the full lyrics came together, even though it was a quick process. It might be that they had the full lyrics conceived before even entering the studio, but it’s probably more likely it took a very tiny piece of the writing at NRG. It’s also possible Numb’s demo wasn’t even full length like the other demos, and just a short idea, with the track’s actual first version being conceived at NRG. It was written a week before going into the studio, so they had something of a demo or idea before beginning recording the album still.
  14. You're likely right but it probably got accidentally swapped with "THE CURE", a shortened version which would've made more sense to be a working title for PMA. "Harmonic Song" might've been an earlier title for it. Jeff Blue, if im correct, said a working title for PMA, which might mean something there.
  15. This was someone's reddit "theory" actually so not mine originally but I find it very interesting. Here's the original post if you want to see it: Basically, if you remember, later albums have this pattern where the closer song holds the working title of the album's instrumental. (Example: on LIVING THINGS the working title of Powerless is TINFOIL (The two are relatives however) on The Hunting Party Working title of Final Masquerade is DRAWBAR) But even also on Hybrid Theory, Pushing Me Away holds the name "CURE FOR MR HAHNS ITCH" in the Studio Finals CD, which we all know what track title that sounds like. This COULD potentially mean Numb's working title might actually have been SESSION, and then they gave that name to the instrumental. It also makes sense because the band conceived the track just a week before going into record for the album. Maybe that was the title Mike or someone in the band quickly gave it when opening a new session. Just something simple and quick. The only thing that throws a wrench into this idea is the fact that Session had (-) dashes across BOTH the vocals on the red song tracking board and the dirty guitar, which we know Numb has on it. BUT it is possible it was still the working title for Numb, then soon given to Session (the instrumental) right when the band went into the studio, then Numb was conceived quickly so either it didn't need tracking or it was tracked elsewhere in its quick process of recording. So who knows that might be totally wrong. Maybe this idea has been brought up before also, but not that I've known. It's definitely something. If not "Session", maybe Numb has another working title like "Moon" or "Ugly Face", but it definitely has something of a working title.
  16. Probably. Ive seen a lot of other albums use that wording too. Maybe its a thing a certain company uses. I’d assume it’s the wording for some alternate official selling source of it, not sure which one. Though Warner is the main official one. I don’t know how any of that works though really, not an expert on that. Might spend some of today to go through LP music again and remembering the dude and his unmatched musical ability. Happy birthday to Chester, today (20th)
  17. That is pretty dang cool. PMA vocals are a bit slowed down I think. Halo is a little slower. But it fits in nicely Edit heres a HQ version
  18. I am aware of the significance of source provision. I was concerned of getting banned if I did. Was not familiar with any link rules around here. Settled.
  19. I can imagine a finished version with better drums, the finished Meteora guitar sound, and Chester's vocals on it. I don't think the lyrics were all the strongest, but it could've gone farther. A great demo for sure it's one of my favorite Meteora demos. I think Halo and Attached will always be my favorite Meteora era demos though, even though they're both instrumental. I feel like Halo is a very unpopular favorite but it's just one I could've seen getting finished with full vocals (also having the loud ass guitar part in the chorus cleaned up and redone at NRG) and being damn amazing.
  20. Hellll Yea man!!!! I sure was!!! (What is this so seemingly passive aggressive ass comment lmfao 🤣
  21. I don't even remember typing that honestly, but also I'm not here to be a top web whizz who knows every unspoken rule of the internet. I'm not like the most"internetly" smart or anything. I don't even participate in many other threads other than here. But no, I guess I don't normally like to be the one to post links in a thread like this, if there's not a good enough reason.
  22. Foreword is just another word meaning “intro”. Actually for several years, I read it as “Forward”. I never actually realized or paid attention to that until a lot later on. I think It was Recorded at Mikes house shortly before mixing the album, when the recording was al(most) done. Just smashing of a shitty CD Player/Burner with a baseball bat on a metal table, and a bang (no idea what that is) and some water sounds. All in 14 seconds For some reason I had the idea that it was made in like February 2003 before the album came out, I don’t know why or where the hell that idea came from.
  23. Meteora “digitally remastered” ^ In a web search and you’ll find them. No not saying they haven’t been mixed again, all songs on CD1 are still 2002 mixes by Andy Wallace. Mastering is by Brian “Big Bass” Gardner.
  24. The release I’m referring to yeah, CD version of Meteora 20. But no that one doesn’t say remastered in the description. A handful of sales I’ve seen do though. What they say specifically “Deluxe three CD edition. Digitally remastered and expanded 20th Anniversary.” A lot of artist rereleases say those same words for remastered albums.
