  1. Wow guys. You won’t even read my stuff before criticizing me. Come the hell on. We will get this confirmed if it is at one point or another, and if it is I will be very PISSED. If Resolution is not LOST, I will hold myself accountable for my mistake, but there’s a line of whether i think I know and Im damn near positive. I came here to share my knowledge and y’all don’t give two fucks. Pisses me the fuck off when y’all don’t read my shit that I put DEEP thought and evidence into. LOST. IS. THE. FINAL. VERSION. OF. RESOLUTION. it just is. you don’t gotta believe me but it is.
  2. On page 22, I explain why Lost has to be Resolution. But if that wasn’t enough here’s a visual representation of the Meteora board and the songs the titles belong to Heres the FIFTEEN songs (sixteen if you include the two figure.09’s that received vocals but we know these were combined or Plaster II removed to created Figure.09.) The board status nearing the end of vocal recording before Chester gets sick for several weeks. (mid-late October 2002): Cumulus - More The Victim (1) Interrogation - Easier To Run (2) Cuidado - Lying From You (3) BLANK - Fighting Myself (4) Pretty Birdie - Somewhere I Belong (5) Shifter - From The Inside (6) Serpent - Numb or Nobody's Listening (7) Nocturnal - Numb or NL also (8) Session (9) Resolution - Lost (10) Faint (11) Sick - Don’t Stay (12) Plaster II - Figure.09 (13 Husky - Hit The Floor (14) Drawing - Breaking The Habit (15) Figure.09 (16) Reasoning: Cumulus is obviously more the victim. The Blank space has to be a song stopped working on. The earliest they stopped work on out of the 15 was Fighting Myself. NOCTURNAL and SERPENT are guaranteed Numb and Nobody’s Listening just one or the other BECAUSE The Wizard Song, Resolution sounds the most like LOST so what other demo would it be for??? I couldn’t possibly tell ya. Lying From You??? It must be, right?? Apologies for so many posts, I’m really trying to get this through.
  3. Lost, Numb, or Nobody’s Listening can’t be the blank spot, it made it all the way through the process. The only one the blank spot could really be is Fighting Myself since it was the earliest of the 3 to be stopped work on. It wouldn’t make sense to have a blank spot unless it once was a song worked on and no longer is.
  4. Bro. Please read my comment above.
  5. But they are though. We just didn’t know enough for 20 years.
  6. Ok. I’m trying to explain this so please read carefully. “Resolution” was among the 15 final songs recorded for Meteora. We’ve seen it on the Meteora board in footage from October 2002, with FIFTEEN songs recorded in the final process. We know what they ALL are now. this “Wizard song” which is apparently Resolution, wasn’t its own song to be one of them, it was the 12 album songs, LOST, Fighting Myself, and More The Victim. Then, confirmed by Mike in the FADER Interview, THIRTEEN went to go to the mix which was the 12 album tracks and “Lost”. Point is, There’s nothing else Resolution could be other than an early demo of Lost or some other album track which would make no sense at all. All songs worked on in the final process were on the board. It’s 100%. There’d be no reason to remove them unless work is stopped on them. The only one that was MAYBE in that blank space was Fighting Myself, which would explain the 2 Figure.09 demos, when the band was likely in the process of narrowing it down from 15 to 14 songs
  7. because it literally has to be a demo of Lost lol. There’s nothing else it could be. Just likely a very early demo of it. Can’t be it’s own song because it was on the Meteora song board when the band cut down to 15 songs, which we know all of. Same key and tempo and even the lyrics in Resolution follow somewhat of the final lyrics.
  8. Awesome! Can’t wait to hear all of these legendary demos! By the way, since Resolution is on the meteora board in NRG, i’ve basically come to the conclusion that it’s a demo of “Lost”. Same tempo, key and chord progression and I don’t think out of 18 songs they would have brought another Lost into the studio. It’s also among 15 songs on the board which are probably the songs in the final process, which we know all of now, and I think TWS/Resolution resembles Lost to heavily to not be a demo for it. Just saying that because it was on the board, it kind of makes sense that it would be. Also the BBB sound bites video. I think the evidence is enough but it’d be good at some point to get it confirmed by Mike if we can. And of course I’ve gotta hear it first too to judge lol.
  9. Wild Stuff. I always thought the instrumental in the Wizard Song sounded like Lost. Must be a super early version of the demo. Can’t wait to hear it.
  10. No, someone said Resolution was a demo version of Lost. And one other person claiming they have bad memory said it sounded new. I’m going with that it probably is. The source seems pretty unreliable too, mentions hearing a "Don't Stay" demo, which isn't part of the tracklist. But I don't wanna make assumptions, maybe they're being for real who knows. I'm just gonna wait till Friday to find out.
  11. true, I wish MTV and FM made it all the way through like Lost. They’re all such amazing tracks. But previously everyone thought it was only the 12 that made the album that were mixed and done. Lost (known for years as this “thoughts that take away my pride” track) being a mixed and done song is something I don’t think anyone really expected or realized how close to making the cut it always was. For years I had always thought of this track as like the “secret song” of Meteora, because of how much like the finished songs on the album the track sounded in all the clips we heard of it and the fact it wasn’t released in any form at all. Crazy that it actually was that one song that just didn’t make it onto Meteora.
  12. All those things are just differences in mixing choices made by Andy and Manny I think, as well as to do with the mixes being 20 years apart from each other. Mike said the band and Manny listened to the original mix and then decided to give it the new one. The whole point of the new mix is to keep the familiar classic sound of Linkin Park and Meteora but do it in a way that sounds more presentable nowadays, so it would appeal to more audiences. Makes perfect sense. But also I’m really glad they’re including the 2002 mix too, and not just keep it buried forever.
  13. The sounds are all the same but the mix and EQ is very different on a lot of sounds. Most sounds EQ will likely be a lot more raw on the 2002 mix, like how the other Meteora tracks were done by Andy and at the time of 2002. One example, is that scratch effect after every 2nd snare hit in the verses, again heard in Mikes Shirt LPUTV. Another is just the drum track itself, especially the kicks. And overall the mix is more Andy Wallace sounding for sure you can hear it in higher quality in that clip on the extended summer sanitarium episode on LP’s youtube
  14. Listen to the background music in LPUTV Mikes Shirt. That’s the first verse on the 2002 mix. The bass is a bit more “bassy” and noticeable on the 2002 mix. https://youtu.be/IQH5mdAvfyo Also, I don’t think the 2002 mix has come out anywhere yet, so it wouldn’t be getting radio play yet. You probably heard the modern mix but it’s the same song technically.
  15. Again, never said the modern mix was bad. Meteora has an iconic sound and changing it for a more modern touch is a little unfamiliar. New mix is still good but the original mix is going to be better for the sake of authenticity
  16. It’s the first in line of the tracks on the lost demos, meant to serve as the “main” release for Meteora20. So no it’s not a demo, but it’s still unreleased. All other 13 tracks in the CD are technically considered demos so “Lost Demos” actually makes a ton of sense for the name and the placement of Lost. I think a lot of people in the community are having trouble liking Lost right now because we’ve only heard the modern mix. Trust me guys, the 2002 mix is gonna be much better. It’s the actual OG “Lost”. We haven’t heard it yet, and I’m pretty positive it’s gonna sound much more “Meteora” if it’s included on the full album in the Deluxe CD. Most of us myself included will probably like it a lot more. Not to say the modern mix is bad, I love LP’s new music, and Manny Marroquin is great. it’s just that Lost isn’t a new song, it’s from 2002. And with LP, a song from 2002 with its original mix definitely beats any remix or remaster.
  17. no real point of posting this, it’s too blurry to detect the code. also, whatever it leads to is probably not even gonna be up until release day anyways.
  18. It’s also possible they never had a finished version of those drums. (Chorus or verses may not have been recorded or had a finished version). The part we heard in the video clip was of the bridge, we know now. It’s hard to say since we don’t know exactly how soon into the process HF got cut but I’m assuming it had to have been one of the earliest to go. Great demo, but It’s definitely different than the stuff they were trying to do for Meteora at the time.
  19. They probably never found the session with those drums. Either that or they just didn’t sound good (was too overpowering) over the rest of the “demo” sounds in the mix. Sadly I don’t think HF made it past drums at NRG. Maybe bass but guitar is doubtful.
  20. We previously knew "Lost" as the long time grail "Thoughts That Take Away My Pride" demo from the Making of Meteora DVD. Now that "Lost" is out, and we've heard the whole thing in full, there are still many videos the song was hiding in all this time. Here is every video the song has made an appearance in throughout the years before its release: LPTV 1 Episode 4: The Studio II - 7:32-7:39: Lost (Recording process of a verse) (No vocals yet) LPTV 1 Episode 5: The Vocals - 1:37-1:42: Lost (Recording process of the bridge) The Making of Meteora DVD - 24:31-24:36: Lost (Same clip above) The Making of Meteora DVD - 24:54-24:57: A lyric sheet shown for Lost. It includes the final lyrics of the 2nd verse and the demo lyrics over the bridge. The chorus was likely on the same paper, just not shown. The Making of Meteora DVD - 26:33-26:34: Chester's scream after messing up the demo bridge on Lost. This video section with Chester saying they rewrote a song "97 times" could be talking about "Lost". It's possible we'll see more on the new DVD in the box set. In 2007, the instrumental of the finished mix was behind two LPTV videos: LPTV 2 Episode 3: Summer Sanitarium (Extended Version) - 2:10-2:41: Lost (2002 Mix) (Instrumental) LPU Exclusive: Mike's Shirt - 0:00-0:58: Lost (2002 Mix) (Instrumental) I think that's everywhere. Still a lot of places the song appeared for it not even being released at the time. Goes to show how finished the song was to have made it in all these clips.
  21. I think a lot of the songs are probably gonna have vocals. They all did on Forgotten Demos on HT20 anyways. Lost, Fighting Myself, and More The Victim just have more completed lyrics, whereas we heard in Healing Foot, sounds a lot more like demo lyrics. If Resolution is a demo of Lost, It’d be cool if the “Thoughts That Take Away My Pride” lyric was in there. It was on the art wall at one point I believe right?
  22. My guess is there probably won’t be one based on how Lost starts and how Numb ends, and also the length of the 2002 mix is the same (3:19) but we’ll have to see maybe they had one for Lost back in 2002-03. It wouldn’t surprise me as it was literally a fully done album track that just got removed in favor of having 12 songs. I think Mike confirmed that “Lost” was the only other song besides all the album tracks, that they actually took into the final mix in NYC. He said somewhere he thought they took 13 to the mix and 12 made it onto the album. Edit: He did say it in “The FADER” interview on Meteora20 I still can’t wait to have a mix of Lost that will blend in with the rest of the album’s sound.
  23. It’s legendary to hear “Healing Foot”. I never thought that song would have received a FULL version of vocals. Another dream come true with this release.
  24. I think LinkinPedia definitely should update the ‘The Making of Meteora’ page. “Lost” is still not mentioned and “Thoughts That Take Away My Pride” is still labeled as unknown. It’s still pretty early I know but someone who can could edit that on there that would be helpful info to have. Thanks guys
