That Meteora song board is still too iffy to know what's going on with it. Where are Numb and Nobody's Listening? Figure.09 is on twice (under F09 and under Plaster II). Where is Fighting Myself? Etc.
LP's formula in this era is just great, it could really make some masterpiece songs.
Mike: rapping
Chester: sings one beautiful pre-chorus line
Mike: one rap line here
Chester: chorusA+. These songs kick ass.

Unreal that these songs were just sitting on hard drives for 20 years. These are the definition of hidden gems. Blown away at the quality of these. Forcing myself not to listen to these clips non stop but they are SO good.
Exactly. Almost unbelievable they were just sitting there for so long. Wow.
Shockingly great tracks.
More the Victim has a different/higher pitched sample in the intro/loop in the song, it's slightly different than Cumulus. Has live drums, bass, scratching, different guitar riff slightly, it's all really really good. -
These songs are GREAT.
-
More the Victim is Cumulus!
-
Yeah Howard is a big, big LP guy. And loves Chester and Mike.
-
In a surprise move, Howard Stern, a big Linkin Park fan, will be hosting Mike Shinoda on his show today to interview him and debut "Fighting Myself" and "More the Victim" live on air!
Who will be listening? -
Mike said Work In Progress is composed of mostly tour stuff - it's LPTV footage and lots of extended clips of LPTV footage, so a good amount of stuff we haven't seen. But we have seen a good amount of it.
-
Yes LPU 3 is different. But this is likely the audio source from the DVD, which will be really great to have.
-
Mike confirms he didn't touch anything now on it. The Making of Meteora shows songs so early in the process - look how rough/bad the demos are of Figure.09, From the Inside, Somewhere I Belong, Lost are in the DVD. That stuff was filmed in early 2002 to summer 2002~. Way way before the songs took big shape. There's no reason to think Mike finished the song now or something, he said it was fully completed in 2002 and the first song to be cut from the album.
-
Mike's birthday video looks like it has some LPTV footage and then footage that hasn't been seen before, so maybe it's from Work In Progress. Excited for it for sure.
-
Yeah that interview really tells us that LP is at least working on something.

im glad that MIke is finally working with high profile artists.
It seems his energy level and excitement has returned. Maybe working on LP stuff behind the scenes has rejuvenated him.
-
In comparison, Lies Greed Misery sounded bad live and they kept it around for the entire touring cycle lol
-
Are you saying it's going to have all 8 LPTV episodes from the Meteora tour? and then additional content on top of it?
-
Well I did say I'd do it last night but I got distracted watching Music for Relief 2005 on YouTube LOL, it's up now.
-
Not yet on Spotify, it could be just a little early because they JUST released Lost so this probably wouldn't happen for another few weeks. They'd definitely spread them out.
Fighting Myself - updated the wiki with info on it https://linkinpedia.com/index.php?title=Fighting_Myself
Mike considers it 90% done, so he wouldn't consider it a "fully complete" non-album track, but it is close so that's good enough to release since they did "In the End (Demo)" for HT20. -
Anthony and Mark sat down and ran through the entire Meteora 20 box set, item by item, song by song, over the course of two hours for the Meteora 20 announcement.
-
Apple Music has now updated the track time for "Fighting Myself" to 3:21, usually a good indicator that the song will be the next pre-release track off of the upcoming release.
The information is unconfirmed for now, but this has traditionally proven true for Linkin Park's digital releases for upcoming "instant grat" / "pre-release" songs. -
Will get it up today and make a thread about it!
-
It was definitely uncomfortable at times, but they did talk at length about She Couldn't. Maybe just not as much press. But the quotes from Mike about that song are really great.
-
Mike said on Discord he didn't want to spoil the info on the second track because it was "her song", so it lines up.
-
It's like, they are just one half step below "fully completed, finished song" like Lost, No Roads Left, Across the Line, etc. Fighting Myself is only "90% done" according to Mike. Sounds like he touched up the mixes on those too to make them sound good (don't blame him). We'll see how they are.

Hit the Floor sounded off live. Especially when you had something like Figure.09 in there that could come off better on stage.
Easier to Run is a good song to open the encore. They should have kept it. Don't play it on Summer Sanitarium, but when that setlist went international to Europe, Australia, Asia, keep it in that setlist to open the encore before APFMH/OSC. They started bringing My December back in that slot, which is fine, but ETR could have been played at 20 more shows after Summer Sanitarium. Bringing My December back in Asia is good.
In summer 2004 they wanted an explosive encore with Crawling, Wish, and One Step Closer. They tried dropping A Place for My Head twice to start both summer tours in 2004 but brought it back both times lol -
About to upload it.

Do not have this but will contact LPU HQ to see if they can find it. Adam sent me all of the LPU videos in 2009 on the website and that file was actually broken and did not work. Will see if they found it. It surely exists somewhere.
