  1. Mike just said on Twitter that What The Words Meant isn't about LP, it's about another band that he always loved their songs, and he later found out that it was about the loss of the person's sister. So now we can clear up any speculation about that song, and if he was talking about Chaz. Agreed. If I had to pick one ''bonus track'' for the albums, that would definitely be my choice for Post Traumatic. Kind of like how Qwerty would be the one I would pick for MTM. It's on that level of epicness.
  2. Weenie Roast was just epic to me. Mike's first show by himself and he just came out and did it and it sounded good. It was badass when he was like ''This is my first show by myself'', etc. during the show. I guess I just have memories attached to that show. But yeah, Camden seemed great. Wish there was a SBD recording of that one.
  3. I don't think he is directly addressing Tobi, Susan, or Sam. These songs were announced for release weeks ago and they probably date from long before that. It's interesting to me who he is talking about, but it's probably someone that we wouldn't be able to guess, or know. I also still want to know who he was talking about in Hold It Together during the second verse.
  4. Yeah, I know what you mean. I probably listen to it the least out of any LP album, but I still love it.
  5. Lyrically? Hell no. You might not like Living Things but the lyrics were definitely personal on a lot of the songs. LITE, IMR, BID, IBG, COG, RU, Powerless? Even LGM and Victimized probably came from an angry place, I remember Chester said during an interview around the time that the album came out that they came from a place within. I wasn’t saying THP wasn’t good or it was a bad album, I was saying that it had the most uninspired lyrics IMO. Aside from Final Masquerade, like HybridXero said.
  6. Wow, this has never really happened to me this quickly, but I really love Prove Me Wrong now. After only listening to it for like a few hours now, it's become possibly better than the album to me. The melody throughout the entire song is killer and it's so emotional and raw. Mike sounds so pissed in verse 2. I really feel bad for Mike man sometimes. Well, upon the first few listens, I thought he was dissing the other guys in LP in the second verse, but I don't think that's the case now after listening many times. Even if he is, it's done in a way that you can feel his pain and struggle of trying to keep his world together.
  7. Chester was writing about his problems literally since the very first Linkin Park song ever written with him, And One. ''Keep it locked up inside'', etc. I hate when people think stuff like, ''One More Light, at first I hated it, but now that Chester committed suicide, the album means so much to me'', etc. and other variations of that. Chester wrote about his pain, anger, sadness, etc. for his entire career. And while I don't agree that One More Light is their least personal album, The Hunting Party for sure is to me, the lyrics were so bland and boring, it's just annoying to hear people say stuff like that. Look at the words Chester sings on Hybrid Theory, Meteora, Minutes To Midnight, etc. Even a lot of songs on Living Things. A Thousand Suns had some, too, but it was a concept album so it dealt with some other stuff lyrically. Hell, you also have Out Of Ashes, High Rise, the Grey Daze stuff, etc. I think that's what Mike is saying with What The Words Meant, their whole career.
  8. Hmm. These tracks aren't bad. I don't necessarily like some of the lyrics in Prove You Wrong, because I'm pretty sure I know what he is saying in a few parts, something I couldn't support. But overall, decent songs. I personally don't think that they sound like Post Traumatic (the album), but LP/Mike have always made curve ball music.
  9. People have already received their vinyls. Well, some people. I wonder how these songs are. Anybody want to post the lyrics? And maybe info on how the song sounds, etc?
  10. LOL imagine if the band gave us every single song ever recorded for each album in like a mega album pack.
  11. There are TONS of unreleased songs used throughout LPTV. A lot in the MTM episodes, too. But good luck to whoever can compile this list. It will be epic.
  12. It's funny because Weenie Roast is my favorite M.S. show that we have. Idk why. I love the short and sweet sets, I always have.
  13. 4 years ago, Mike disses CHVRCHES. Now, he is opening for them. What a turn of events.
  14. Talinda is possibly the most irritating person in the world to me but I don’t post that on here. Tobi should have kept the info secret!!!
  15. Nah, Alyssa Morse is Talinda's neice. And she was close with Chester and Talinda. Sam has been calling out everyone since Chester died, and probably even before it. Tobi just the other day started to, and I feel like it's because she has mental health issues of her own, and she is also now close with Samantha, who is feeding her all this stuff. Chester and Mike weren't as close from 1999-2006, but once the band started making Minutes To Midnight, Mike has said that him and Chester and the rest of the band really got to hang out with him as friends and get to know him as a friend, and they became good close friends after that. So she could possibly be talking about those earlier years. If not, she's most likely just flat out wrong.
  16. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=j5amdVoIN8c It’s from this video. Fans got to visit LP at the Houdini House while the band was making MTM.
  17. Cool info. Makes you wonder who else the band reached out to during the creation of One More Light. Also, seems like Chester made a lot of friends on that particular tour, Projekt Revolution 2008. Chris Cornell, Billy from Ashes Divide/A Perfect Circle, Frank from Street Drum Corps (was once drummer for Julien-K years after and now with Sum 41, but he was the drummer in DBS in 2017 and Chester was talking with him about doing DBS shows in the future). Then Busta Rhymes too who was friends with Mike and Chester.
  18. 1. A recording from 1999. Of course a HQ or SBD one would be preferred but really anything. 2. PR02 show in SBD/HQ. Maybe just the whole show they took Step Up and My December from for the SIB single (San Diego 2002). 3. Chiba 2006 full SBD/HQ. The show they used for LPU6 and the WID single. Possibly would be their greatest live release ever. 4. 2009 ATS demos 5. 2013 show in SBD/HQ. (Pooch still recorded all 2013 shows even though no DSP's.) 6. 2016 OML demos.
  19. MTM had a lot of touring but I think LT/THP really grossed the most amount for the band. Carson 2012 was one of the band's biggest shows ever and Mike did say THP was the most successful touring cycle for the band, so he would know. They did a bunch of huge international shows in 2008-2009 in between MTM and ATS, that's when the band really took off overseas the most. Those Brazil 2014 shows were epic. It just sucked that Brad wasn't there but they were still cool. China 2015, yeah, they definitely made some $$$ doing that tour for sure. Anyone remember when Mike played that OML demo off of his phone during an interview on that tour? That was cool. Randomly just remembered that.
  20. THP had a lot of German shows if you look at the calendar's for 2014 and 2015. I guess it was partially because LT didn't really have a tour in Europe at all. LT was a strange tour because it had stops virtually everywhere except Europe. Weird to me. They should have done a Europe Tour after South Africa in November, into December. And then launched another U.S. tour in January 2013 and some of February 2013, and then headed to Australia for Soundwave. Plenty of time to do it all. BID and LT did well pretty much everywhere, #1 single and #1 album, so the funds should have been in place. Wonder why they didn't do it. But that's cool that they sold out Amsterdam. Was a cool show. I bet a lot of those late 2014 German shows were close to sold out, if not sold out. Europe really responded very well to THP, especially Germany. Interestingly enough, Mike said in the Zach Sang interview from 2017 that THP was actually the most successful touring cycle that the band had ever done. So I imagine that the band did pretty well at all the shows for THP.
  21. 2007 had 4 German shows, 5 performances if you count the one song played at TV Total. 2008 is when the band started heavily touring Germany from there on out. I don't really consider 2008 as MTM, it's more like in between MTM and start of ATS since they started working on ATS in 2008.
  22. Germany always showed LP massive support. The band started touring heavily there starting in like 2009/2010 if you look at the band's live history. Before 2009, they did the usual festivals in Germany but look at years like 2010, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2017. Lots of touring there. It's a big market for LP there, and it looks like they are showing Mike solo a lot of love, too. The only other place that has gotten more love from LP over the years is probably California but that's because that's the band's home and shit. Germany is huge for LP/Mike.
  23. I wouldn't say that yet. He could easily do another Asia tour later in 2019. Even the U.S. again, and some other places. I think 2019 will be a lot of touring for Post Traumatic and maybe even a new Mike album later in the year.
  24. Maybe I was too harsh about HIT... I just sometimes think that it doesn't fit with the album. It almost feels too ''happy'' sounding even though the lyrics aren't. I guess it's not really that bad, I just don't like it as much as other songs. I agree about wishing that Mike could have done those other guest spots. Grandson's feature is kind of cool, I like that one, same as MGK's verse, I love it. But the others don't do much for me. Post Traumatic is such a good album but it has a few moments that I don't love, just like The Rising Tied had a few moments that I didn't love. But overall, they're both great.
  25. Wow really? God I really love MGK’s verse a lot. It’s by far one of my favorite moments of the entire album. blackbear’s feature I will admit is pretty weak but MGK’s... it’s fire to me. The only parts of Post Traumatic that I don’t really care for are K.Flay’s feature and Hold It Together. Both are a little too poppy for my liking and I feel like the K.Flay song fits way better with One More Light (which it actually was a Linkin Park song). Hold It Together is just really corny to me, everything about it, the beat and the chorus especially. I can’t knock the lyrics too much because I know they mean a lot to Mike but that song is just super cheesy to me.
