  1. He said something like ''we didn't feel like we needed to include a making of this time around, because we are always growing, so the process is never really done'' or something like that. Ultra lame answer and it goes against everything they have ever said about not releasing an album unless they were certain it was ready and the best it could be. He also said something about how we get to see the behind the scenes stuff at things like the Summit and LPTV, even though the band is barely involved with the Summit anymore and LPTV hasn't been updated with anything other than 2 min videos in ages. Is LPUTV or LPTV even a thing still? So much has happened this year in 2014 and we have barely any video documentation of any of it.
  2. Everything about this album cycle is just an absolute trainwreck...
  3. It was so annoying that when we were finally let in the VIP Area after waiting all morning, we got yelled at for simply looking at the Music For Relief table. It wasn't Lorenzo or Lulu that yelled, it was very weird and kind of pissed me off right from the get go, to be honest. Joe on his phone the entire Q & A and acoustic performance was an absolute joke. It's bad enough that he does that during the live show, but seriously? A lot of people paid a lot of money to go and travel to the Summit, he should have at least looked like he gave a shit about it. The Q & A was cool, but it was definitely annoying that the same old questions that we all know, that have already been answered in the past, were asked. There was some interesting info, though, like when Mike said that Minutes To Midnight was the hardest album for them to make, but I guess that is kind of obvious. Mike also gave us some info about why there was no making of for The Hunting Party, which was good, I guess. It seemed like Mike was really the only member of the band who was happy to be there. Mike in general seems like he is very interested in the fans and the band. At least Mike did Reading My Eyes over Bleed It Out for us. Mike was the only member of the band that I saw really interact with the fans during the Meet & Greet, which was odd because Chester and the rest of the guys seemed very happy and in a great mood at the Holmdel Meet & Greet a few days prior. Honestly, I think the band was late getting to Darien. Anna Shinoda did a press related thing about her novel the day before in New York City. Chester also had his children and wife out, since they came on stage in Wantagh a few days before. I think they probably were spending time with their family in New York City or something the day before and there were complications in the morning when trying to get to Darien or something. Honestly, though, I have no idea how that would really affect the actual Summit, since most of the day is centered around the crew and the backstage area, etc. But I think this is why everything was rushed and unorganized. Overall, I did have fun at the Summit. It just wasn't as good as the one I attended in Camden in 2012.
  4. I would kill to have a pic with the band.. I was really bummed out that I didn't win. But yeah, I wish they would take a little bit more time, it wouldn't take very long at all. If every person at the Summit got an individual pic with the band, that would be my dream come true, but it would probably take about an hour if everyone did (about 200 people).
  5. At this point in LP history, I have confidence in the band that whatever direction they go in with LP7. I am confident they will deliver. EDIT: I just read that during the Texas Summit, someone asked Digby if LP will be doing another US tour. He said that he is on contract until the end of 2015 and that ''we won't be much older'' when the next US tour happens. So this means that LP is planning on touring until the end of 2015 on this album. I knew it would be a good touring cycle because they said they wanted to tour for a while on this album and incorporate all the songs, etc. I think they will end THP cycle in 2015, write a new album in 2016, and then finish up and release the 7th album in 2017.
  6. My issues with Darien were: - The time got messed up multiple times. Sweltering heat for hours. - We got yelled at for just trying to look at some of the LPU merch on the table as we walked in. So stupid. - I didn't eat the lunch because I don't like thousand island dressing or mayonnaise on a simple turkey sandwich. They should have let us choose what we wanted on it. - The whole ''vote for a activity and you will get a random event'' thing was bullshit. I wanted to get a bus tour. - Then we had the raffle. I put in a SHIT TON of money into picture with the band. I didn't win, the same people who win literally every thing ''somehow'' (girl in the pink hat and others) won stuff. But it turns out that it wasn't very good anyways, because it wasn't individual group picture like in Camden, it was all the winners with the band together. I would have been pissed.
  7. Who the fuck would want to go to 'The Summit' and NOT go to the concert afterwards? I wouldn't even bother going if I couldn't attend the concert after. The Summit isn't all that great. The Meet & Greet is awesome obviously, and so isn't the acoustic performance, but if you're like me and you don't care about the crew or the equipment, it's not all that fun. I'm also probably the most anti-social person ever, so I'm not big into the whole talking with other fans thing.
  8. If the set was good and solid, I wouldn't mind having 1 set for the entire touring cycle, honestly. If they had a set in which they played full songs like they did in the past, while including songs like A Place For My Head, When They Come For Me, Keys To The Kingdom, Guilty All The Same, Wastelands, Until It's Gone, Rebellion, Drawbar, Final Masquerade, A Line In The Sand and tons of singles and some rare songs, I would be very happy. But the set is very poor and they lack a certain energy that they had each year in the past. They need to start playing full songs again and they need to throw in a surprise. Bring back A Place For My Head, everyone wants to hear it. I bet even casual fans would have heard it at some point and they might love it, if not. Do a collab, they did a collab on PR08, HCT, etc. Because I miss the old times when you used to be the only one who did pre-show posts (no offense to Soul or anyone else). This is your website, right? I guess I will respect your decision to have other people do it since you are the owner of this site. I also think it's annoying how we get large updates on Thirty Seconds To Mars and AFI, but this is just my opinion.
  9. LPL used to be great, but it has fallen. You should include this as well. We get tons of news on Thirty Seconds To Mars now and they have nothing to do with LP, so we should include info for all other bands that have toured with LP in the past when talking about past tours, etc.
  10. Fair enough. However, until this day, I still have no idea why LPLive.net will cover Julien-K and SOB stuff, even having it's own Julien-K section.
  11. This is so awesome. Love it. I wish we got stuff like this with LPUTV too. We haven't got a new LPUTV is so long, the video archive on the LPU is so outdated it's not even funny. The last video they put up was from the Summer tour LAST YEAR.
  12. To me, it seems both SOB and Julien-K were at their best when they were doing FM and DBS. Let me put it this way, would you listen to either of those groups (SOB and Julien-K) if they were never involved with Mike and Chester's solo projects? I know I wouldn't have been.
  13. Wantagh was my favorite, but they were all good. I have never been to a LP show that I didn't like.
  14. Jared Leto doesn't have the right to refer to himself as a ''rock god'' when Chester Bennington is on the same tour. That is just a slap in the face right there.
  15. Voted for Hands Held High and Other. I want to see some MTM era verses.
  16. Get some WANTAGH in here, best show of the tour, hands down.
  17. Yep, pretty much.
  18. If I made a live compilation of my favorite performances, I don't think any of them would be from 2014, except for the very few tracks from THP that they have been playing.
  19. We need more live tracks. Especially now that we no longer get DSP's. I've always loved every single live track that the band releases, I'd much rather have live tracks than remixes, some demos, and most of all, when they include a track from the album on the single, like they did with GATS on the UIG single.
  20. Yeah, I couldn't part with some of those. Haha. I think I might re-download some old shows and bootlegs and stuff, just not EVERY one.
  21. Aha. Thank you for pointing that out.
  22. GATS from Rock am Ring would be epic... Rebellion, too, though.
  23. Dude, he plays in a band. And he is famous for all of his covers on YouTube. He knows what he is talking about, he is very good.
