  1. I like what they did with the Berlin Wall. It was also cool when LP met OM&M. I was worried earlier on in the year that LPTV went downhill, but ever since they uploaded the first Carnivores episode, they have been good. LPTV is meant to ''chronicle the band's history'' and I think they do a great job of that each year.
  2. The band has said numerous times that they won't release an album unless they are 100% satisfied with it. Your argument is invalid. Also, even if one person in the band likes something more, that doesn't mean that the rest of the band agreed, etc.
  3. 100% different opinion from me... I prefer Ethan's mixes over Pooch's any day.
  4. Chester borrowed Ryan Key's coat for the What I've Done video, and Ryan Key also sang What I've Done with LP at Warped Tour this year, so that is pretty cool that they opened for them back in 2007. Maybe he is friends with Chaz or something. I guess time will tell about what the rest of THP cycle will bring...
  5. Wow, that is a great performance of FM. I love it. Chester sounds good.
  6. I think after The Hunting Party in the US, that might be it. They are doing a lot of festival type shows in 2015 it seems. We already got AFI, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Of Mice & Men and Rise Against, not to mention that A Day To Remember is opening for LP next year at one off show as well. Unless they do another huge tour next year, that might be it for direct support acts because in Asia and stuff they usually do festivals (I think).
  7. Definitely ''studio version'' for me. I don't consider any of LP's demos that they have released so far to be better than anything on their studio albums. I also trust the band and they know more about music than I do, so if they feel like a song wasn't good enough to make an album, I agree with that. Don't get me wrong - stuff like Across The Line is great, but it's not album worthy, IMO.
  8. Yeah, I was watching the video the other day, funny stuff.
  9. Yeah, Map is a great song... but it's still a good live release IMO.
  10. Well, judging from this LPTV, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PS_zxbDEwkw, Michael Bay approached the band to have music on Transformers 2, so the band decided to make a whole new song for the film. The demo title for New Divide was called ''Megatron''. They also had demos called ''Optimus'', ''Starscream'' and ''Bumblebee'' that were worked on alongside but no one has any idea what ever came of those. If you watch that episode, Mike will tell you how the song came to be and how they wrote it, etc. with good detail, and you also will get to see a demo piano version that Mike played for Chester with demo lyrics at the end.
  11. I will look into listening to those. I don't think I have ever heard those that you mentioned because I rarely ever listen to audience recordings except for those of the shows that I have attended. Love the CT 06 recording.

    LPU XIV Is Here!

I found it at the beginning of this episode. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFBNfl3BBKM
  13. I'd consider myself an extremely hardcore fan as well man... I've been to 19 shows, seen their side projects live a number of times, I buy everything they release in physical, have LP tattoos, etc. I definitely see where you are coming from and I actually agree with you a lot of the time. I love stuff like Burning In The Skies and Valentine's Day, you're right, those are great songs and I would love to see them performed live again. Powerless is one of my favorite LP songs and it has a deep personal connection with me and I also love Lost In The Echo as well. But you have to be realistic because they aren't going to drop In The End, Numb, What I've Done or New Divide anytime soon because those are their biggest hits. But that is only 4 songs, leaving TONS of room for rare songs and new songs. I agree with you there, they should be adding new songs to the set, but those 4 songs should not be dropped. Instead, drop shit like Given Up, Castle Of Dance, Ballad Medley, etc. That would free up about 10 minutes or more right there.
  14. Yes, I have physical copies of those, as well as THP with Live From Mexico in physical as well. But they aren't the same. I like when they released a CD/DVD pack, similar to what Muse did last year with Live From Rome Olympic Stadium. That is a true ''live album'', those are all just bonus live DVD's.
  15. You're also forgetting all the awesome live tracks from the singles and LPU albums.
  16. Found this today while watching LPTV. ''Aubrey One'' appeared on the ATS demo board at one point. Pretty cool, huh?
  17. You never know. LP is unpredictable, every single album cycle has had drastically different touring patterns. You are probably correct, though, because LP has yet to tour Asia, Australia/New Zealand and the other places that they sometimes go. They really have only been playing for US and European crowds so far.
  18. I can't wait for the new live album. This looks like a great show and finally a live release that I can own a PHYSICAL copy of. Too much digital shit from LP.

    LPU XIV Is Here!

I was watching LPTV today, and I came across this. ''Aubrey One'' from LPU14 is shown on the demo board.
  20. I agree that they should play some more songs from the new album, specifically Keys To The Kingdom, War and A Line In The Sand. It's literally pissing me off that they refuse to play Keys To The Kingdom because it's arguably the heaviest song on the album and is very in your face and screamy and heavy, it would translate well live. Trust me, if LP could pull off the ATS and LT songs live, Keys shouldn't be too hard. Drop Given Up for it. However, I think they kept true to their word about being visceral. AFI and MARS are some good rock acts, and now with Of Mice & Men and Rise Against, they are keeping that alive. All of those bands are more ''rock'' and ''visceral'' than any of the bands LP has toured with since 2008, but that is obvious. Until It's Gone and Final Masquerade aren't very visceral, but they are good songs, the rest of the album is full of visceral and heavy, though, and even LPU14 is to an extent. They are keeping true to their word about touring with other rock acts and embracing their heavy sound. I don't think it would be wise for LP to drop TONS of singles from the set, but rather a few, to make room for new songs. Given Up should definitely go in replacement of Keys To The Kingdom because Given Up really wasn't even THAT big of a single at all, and it's growing a bit tiresome, it hasn't sounded that great since 2007. Keys is much heavier and also is from THE NEW ALBUM, so that is a no brainer for me. The band must love Given Up if they still play it in full and keep it in the set ever since 2007. They should never drop In the End, Numb, What I've Done or New Divide because those are their biggest hits and please everyone. The rest could be altered though, I see no reason why they can't play some new stuff. War is so easy to play for them because there isn't any electronic elements or anything like that and Chester could probably handle that shit easily, he was in a punk band with Bucket Of Weenies, so War shouldn't be too hard, not to mention it's a short song, like Victimized was. Victimized actually sounded decent live to me. A Line In the Sand would be a challenge, but epic if they pulled it off...
  21. So Bruiser and Space Station are probably the only 2 from the authentic LP vault, the others were made using various Stagelight sounds. Cool.
  22. Don't forget that he dances and jams out on What I've Done, too. But I see your point with that, I can't argue that it does seem like he enjoys the mid tempo-ballad type of songs.
  23. I think it's both hilarious and awesome that Mike said that because he knows that people would only vote for the nu-metal stuff, he was being semi-sarcastic, IMO, which is great. It seems like the hardcore LP fans (LPL, LPA) only want to hear stuff from like 2000 or prior and nothing from the new albums.
  24. I have yet to find a bootleg that sounds as good as Live In Texas or Road To Revolution. Once I do, I will consider playing it in my car. Although, I'll probably just wait for LP's new live album to come out and play that in the car.
  25. I love how everyone hates on Brad because he isn't jumping around crazy and literally moshing onstage to songs off of Hybrid Theory or Meteora. I love Hybrid Theory and Meteora because they are special to me, they were the first albums that I ever got into as a kid (11-13), but I will admit that nu-metal is God awful and just about every single song on Minutes To Midnight, A Thousand Suns, Living Things and The Hunting Party is infinitely better than anything on those two albums IMO, except for maybe Breaking The Habit. Not trying to start a flame war here, I swear I'm not, but if I was Brad, I would do even LESS than what he does on stage during the ''old shit'' because it doesn't interest me whatsoever. I mean, it was probably fun like 15 years ago, but I hardly see how anyone in the band is happy playing anything from those albums. They have so many good songs now like Shadow Of The Day, Iridescent, Rebellion, A Line In The Sand, Burning In The Skies, When They Come For Me, The Catalyst, Valentine's Day, Ammosick, In Between, The Little Things, Given Up, War, etc.
