  1. Throughout the film and novel, he is referred to as ''Mal''. Yes his full name Malcolm but I thought it was weird that he was titled as ''Malc'' on the soundtrack.
  2. Are those actual demos from Relative Degree?
  3. I think Devil's Drop and White Noise both are the same as the versions in the film. Those were also demos from LT and THP so that was right around the time that Mall was filmed and edited, etc. I wonder if the reason Ammosick and Luna were re-done is because those are from the MTM and ATS era, so they weren't as ''ready to go'' as the other two. The question that I want to know is if they were reworked into these final versions in the ATS era and Hahn just put the demos in the movie for some reason or if these were recently polished up and repealed for the score a few months ago when Mike was mixing the Mall songs. I remember right before the Brazil shows in October that Mike was working on Mall stuff.
  4. If you listen to the version from the movie you can tell the lyrics and vocals are new. Honestly, the new versions of all of these just remind me of Living Things b-sides or something now. I'm not complaining about that because I love that album but they sound much different than the versions in the movie.
  5. Ammosick has totally different lyrics and a new vocal approach. So doesn't Luna. It really does suck that Dancer's vocals were removed, I liked that song a lot. I haven't heard any of these in full yet, but you can tell all of this just from the previews. Warm Spell doesn't appear to have changed at all from the movie.
  6. To me this is proof that LP removes the vocals on demos that they give us. Dancer had vocals in the credits but this version is an instrumental. Weird. Also strange how they renamed the songs from their demo titles, while the demo titles appear in the credits. I already knew that Ammosick was renamed to The Last Line because of that picture I posted a week ago of the ATS song board that had Aubrey One because it was renamed The Last Line next to it. The lyrics and vocals are also different in all of these songs except for White Noise.
  7. I can't buy it in the US store... Waiting for a download somewhere. Can't wait to hear it. I hope it gets released in a physical format like The Raid did.
  8. It's funny because I literally laugh out loud when I read people bashing Chester's singing on LPL. He is one of the best singers in the world, and IMO, the best singer in the world.
  9. Cool video. It seems like their was supposed to be a LPTV episode for Warped Tour judging by Mike's statement, but it never seems to have been released. LP never releases the cool footage (Webster Hall Making Of MTM, Making Of THP, This, etc.)
  10. I won't be going because I don't live in Canada.
  11. It's all just preferences man. I said I took back my original statement - they are official, I just personally don't care for stuff that isn't released in physical. So far, these are the only original LP tracks that have never been released in a physical format, not counting remixes/live/etc or the ''Mall Soundtrack'' because that might get released in a physical format like ''The Raid: Redemption'' did. Lockjaw Not Alone Issho Ni Bruiser Space Station Complimentary Asteroids
  12. You're right. I'm not gonna waste money on buying stuff from before when Chester joined. Makes more sense. I'll only buy STPWCB stuff.
  13. IMO, when you listen to the studio version of Given Up, ''I'm sick of feeling'' could easily be misinterpreted as ''I'm sick of living'', it almost sounds like it. But the other mistakes are way different, like the Bleed It Out lyrics and the No More Sorrow lyrics, those are a lot different. Also, the printed lyrics for Given Up have ''I hyperventilate, looking for help somehow somewhere, and you don't care'' instead of what he sings in the studio version, which is ''I hyperventilate, looking for help somehow somewhere, and no one cares''. But at the Athens 2009 show, Chester actually sang ''and you don't care'', so maybe there was an earlier version of Given Up with that lyric, and for some reason in his brain, the old lyric came out.
  14. Does anyone have the HQ pics of the rare pics of the band from this video that as posted before? It appears they are deleted from one of the previous posts. Sorry for the necropostage, but those pics were too awesome to pass up. Mike as a baby, extremely early pic of LP with Chester, LP in Greece, etc.
  15. Haha, true. I remember what you told me about 10 Years that one time... I think LP maybe has gotten better with becoming friends with bands, etc. that they tour with. It seems like they hung out with the Incubus guys, as well as MARS and AFI this summer. I think Mike is also friends with Tim from Rise Against, right? Who knows.
  16. Good point, I'll only buy High Rise stuff and whatever they release next.
  17. EDIT: I take back my earlier statement. I guess these are ''official'' LP music, but I just don't consider anything that isn't released in a physical format to be worthy. As far as I know, you can't buy Stagelight in physical, or can you? If so, anyone know where I can purchase a physical copy?
  18. Ok, this question has been bugging me for a while. Are ''Stone Temple Pilots'' and ''Stone Temple Pilots With Chester Bennington'' two different bands? I know that Scott didn't want them using the name, and on the High Rise CD, you can clearly see the name ''Stone Temple Pilots With Chester Bennington'' on it. But it confuses me because on iTunes, High Rise is listed under ''Stone Temple Pilots'' with the rest of their discography.
  19. Not the same as a LPU song at all, IMO. But to each their own. Plus, LPU albums are released in physical format. This is just some random song made from various sounds that was posted online. Honestly, I don't even listen to shit ''released'' by LP if it's not released in a physical format because I feel like Warner just releases that kind of shit to make money, and it's usually just random extra unnecessary shit.
  20. I will admit, ''Lorax'' sounds badass.
  21. Mike has been friends with Austin for a while, they've posted pictures together for years on Instagram and Austin did Faint with LP back in September before this tour even started. But they might not have known the rest of the band, it's pretty common that bands become friends with other bands on tour together.
  22. Well that is because those 3 singles are by far their biggest hits so I wanted to add them all in a row, that would be cool to see live, IMO. And also, Castle Of Dance is aggressive. It's extremely heavy in the electronic realm and it's super fun to hear when you're at the concert. I also just edited and added When They Come For Me and Lost In The Echo to my setlist, because I feel like those are visceral and in your face as well.
  23. The real ''visceral'' set, without any shortened songs and visceral the entire way through. 01. Keys To The Kingdom (Album Version Intro) 02. Qwerty (2007 Version) 03. Given Up (Ext. Clapping Intro; Ext. Outro w/ Extra Note) 04. From The Inside (Ext. Intro) 05. No More Sorrow (Short Intro) 06. Rebellion 07. Papercut (Long Intro) 08. Points Of Authority (Intro #1 w/ High Voltage Verse 1) 09. LIES GREED MISERY (Ext. Intro) 10. Figure.09 11. When They Come For Me (Dingleberry ''E-Booms'' Intro) 12. The Summoning 13. War 14. Wastelands 15. CASTLE OF GLASS (Experience Version; Piano Transition Outro) 16. LOST IN THE ECHO (2012 Intro w/ Holding Company Synth) 17. Numb (Numb/Encore Outro) 18. In The End (Reanimation Intro) 19. What I've Done ***ENCORE*** 20. Guilty All The Same 21. Faint (Ext. Outro) 22. A Place For My Head (Ext. Intro & Bridge) 23. One Step Closer (Reanimated Bridge, Ext. Outro)
  24. I remember watching or reading an interview somewhere recently where Brad says that they formed the new setlist so that there would never be a pause in during the show, which was something different for the band to do. So I think the reason we have all these shortened songs and medleys and shit is because they wanted to fit basically every ''big hit'' that they have done in one way or another into the entire set. I do miss the old days when they didn't play shortened songs and they just performed the songs in full. They started doing shortened songs for the first time at iHeart Radio Music Festival or whatever it was called in 2012, but they didn't start doing it at every show until this cycle... it sucks. I do understand where people like Mark are coming from when he wants to hear the songs that he loves from Hybrid Theory and Meteora because I feel like that sometimes too when I want to hear them play stuff from Minutes To Midnight or Living Things, which are my favorite LP albums. I would love if they dropped shit for stuff like No More Sorrow, Valentine's Day, In Pieces, Little Things, Qwerty, In My Remains, I'll Be Gone, Victimized, etc. but I don't think that most people at the show would like that very much. I understand why the band wants to play the big singles, but they don't need to make the ENTIRE set full of mostly only singles. They should play In The End, Numb and What I've Done at each and every show, and then alter the rest of the set and play some old fan favorites or stuff from the actual new album. New Divide and Burn It Down are also big hits, but I feel like maybe they could play one of those one night and not play the it the next night, etc. But at the end of the day, this is LP we are talking about. They aren't going to make albums that we want them to make, and they aren't going to make a set that we want them to make, they're just going to do whatever they want and if people want to come along for the ride, the more the merrier. That has been their attitude since 2007 when they put out Minutes To Midnight. But seriously, THEY NEED TO ADD KEYS TO THE KINGDOM TO THE SET FOR THE UPCOMING US TOUR. PLEASE LP.
