  1. I agree. I thought everything Ken and Mike was funny AF. Ken and Chester was also hilarious. I do also agree with AudioNick that James Corden would have probably been very funny with the band as well, but that's no jab at Ken Jeong, because he is super funny.
  2. Just got done watching it... Was tough to watch for me. My favorite part was when they did Numb and Chester started singing it out the window. Haha. Also Hot Dogs and Ketchup. Chester was awesome. But it was a great episode overall. Ken Jeong and Mike were both great. It's hard to even listen to Numb and hearing Chester sing it here like he did.
  3. So cringe worthy. Mike's part wasn't bad, although not much to this video. So cool I guess.

    Time Capsule

Wow this is all insane. Going to go watch it now. Wow. This is epic. EDIT: That's def Chester on that Maestro remix. Badass. You can hear him on the studio version of Maestro as well, now that I notice, he's buried very low in the mix. Fucking cool. But yeah, Chester was the executive producer for DTA and he literally lived in the same house that it was written in for years so I'm sure he definitely sang them all at one point, or helped Ryan with all of them. One thing I found interesting in that video was that Ryan said Chester wanted to join Julien-K as a full member but they had to say no, and that they would make their own record with him, thus came DBS? Badass. I didn't know all this epic info about Julien-K and Chester. Also, wow, the full PR07 set with Chester singing. The most epic thing ever. I'd pay whatever to have that in a heartbeat. And on DVD? Take my money. Plus a lot of behind the scenes footage from PR07 apparently, my favorite tour of all time. I can't wait to hear all the old stuff on Time Capsule, as well as Shaking, that will be cool.

    Time Capsule

That's pretty cool. Wow. Chester probably was involved heavily with the DTA Era since he literally lived at Ryan's house in 2005 and some of 2006, I think. Ryan even mentioned it during his speech at the Club Tattoo Memorial. I bet Chester helped Julien-K write a lot of songs for DTA and we didn't even know. He probably sang some of them. We know he sang that set at PR07 but he probably messed around in the studio and stuff with Ryan. Pretty interesting.

    Time Capsule

The release is unknown at this time, as far as I know, but expected by the end of 2017. That's badass. I didn't know that. I'm so pumped to listen to it all. All of the stuff you mentioned seems badass. I've been following them since PR07. I'm not a huge hardcore fan by any means but I do enjoy their music and listen to it whenever they put something out. I saw Julien-K again recently in August in Boston and it was awesome. I got to meet Ryan and Amir, etc. Cool guys. Only saw them once before that, a few times on PR07, I wish I saw them more. But excited for Time Capsule for sure.
  7. Thank God. Sick. Was excited for that. Anyways, not sure if anyone noticed, but Mark Morton actually discussed collaborating with Chester on the Speak N' Destroy Podcast on September 6th, a little over a month ago. About 49-50 minutes in. He said ''I didn't know Chester very well, but I had worked with him, and I did know him a little bit through that. And I had the opportunity to work on some music with him. In that experience, it was interesting because we didn't really know each other very well, we had a mutual respect, and to have the opportunity to work on a creative project with him, it takes a certain amount of trust you have to sort of have with somebody to get creative and to really put yourself into to, you've got to trust that that other person's not gonna turn on you, you have to feel safe, I guess. And I found for me it was very easy to feel that way with him and to really just dig into the process of trying to make something cool creative happen creatively, because he was just so open and so honest, and so clearly excited about music, and just a really good dude man, an easy person to be around, and I feel really fortunate to have had the chance to spend some time with him and to talk about music and talk about parenthood and so many of the things that surround the music industry, and it was a really special moment for me, and I'm glad I got to have it.'' So, unfortunately, no word on if there is a track coming out or not.

    Time Capsule

Did anybody purchase Time Capsule? I pre-ordered it months ago. Pretty excited. It'll be cool to have the few tracks with Chester, as well as all the other stuff. A lot of great stuff will be on the release. This thread will serve more of a purpose when Time Capsule arrives. I'll post my thoughts on it all, and tracklistings for all the CD's included.
  9. Same with me but I'm waiting for the Minutes To Midnight instrumental album. I know a few official ones exist but I want the entire album in full instrumental, straight from the band.
  10. I hope we get LPU17 in November.... So many demos that I want to hear in the vault.
  11. Yeah man, def. He was very busy it seems. He always did a lot outside of Linkin Park, with other bands, etc. Always had guest spots on albums, playing live shows, touring with other bands and making music with other bands, he was super creative than we realized probably. And he always put out quality shit when he did. Can't wait to hear that Mark Morton track as well as other stuff. Chester may be gone but his legacy will live on! Yeah, I remember when he said he couldn't be alone, because that's when he's at his worst. Maybe he was alone for some parts of 2016 and that's why he relapsed. We know he was alone when he took his life... it's sad to think about... But yeah, he always said that he liked to ''be in the chaos'' of being busy and being creative. And that he worked good when a lot was to be expected. I think he said that in the Meteora DVD. I suppose a lot of musicians and artists are like that. Looking back at Chester's legacy, it seems like he had a story to tell. Even outside of Linkin Park. He had a lot of deep, great lyrics with Grey Daze, DBS and the songs off of High Rise by STP. He just was a really good artist man..... He put his heart and soul into whatever he did creatively, with LP and other bands. I'm tearing up thinking about it. He was my hero.
  12. Yeah, I hope we can hear that. Screaming Chester is always the best Chester, it will be Godly if it comes out.
  13. After Europe. So yeah, it's likely it is the last video of him singing. They did this Carpool Karaoke thing, then the collab with Watsky, during the time in between after the European tour ended, and Chester's death. Talinda did post that video like I said, which is probably the last known video of Chester being alive, and she also posted a picture of Chester with the family, a few days before he died as well. But it's cool we are getting all this stuff. I hope maybe we can get hear what he did with Watsky as well.
  14. Kiiara is literally performing at the show. I'm sure the band picked who they wanted to pick. I think Kiiara deserves to be there more than Hayley from Paramore does. She was featured on one of Linkin Park's biggest singles since New Divide which was forever ago and she has performed on some big TV shows, etc. with the band. She also wrote very heartfelt things about Chester after he passed. I think she deserves to be there. Unless of course you mean you want more female presence than just Kiiara. In that case, Hayley would be a good person to choose. In favor of her performing any of those except for Powerless. Powerless is way too sacred to ever have anyone ever sing it. It's perfect the way it is on the album. Not sure I would have even wanted to hear a live version with Chester because it's 100% perfection.
  15. Probably not. I think they will just continue on as a 5 piece. I used to think they need a new singer, or want one, but now that the Japan shows are cancelled and they released that statement, I think they need to take the rest of 2017 off to heal. Come back in 2018 or maybe even 2019 with a new album, the band as a 5 piece. Maybe the band doesn't even want to replace Chester. I feel bad now for talking about replacing him.
  16. Cool. Will watch it. It's not the last known video of Chester, like originally thought, though. Talinda posted a video a few weeks back of Chester playing the Beanboozled Challenge with his kids and Church, 36 hours before he died...
  17. Damn, I'm sorry. Trust me - the feeling sucks, I've experienced it 8 times. If you're anything like me (which you're probably not; you're probably not crazy), you're probably let down. But I know the band will return to Japan, it'll be on their top priority list once they start kicking things back up again.
  18. Sucks, but I could have seen this coming. It will be very hard for the band to perform again in a normal show setting without Chester, both emotionally and business wise, because he was so vital to them as a brother, but also as a performer. I've had Linkin Park shows cancelled on me 8 different times so I know how much it sucks and I feel bad for the Japanese fans... But they will likely return, probably in 2018/2019.

  20. Yup and just listening to videos from the tour, I can tell it was damn epic. Berlin, Athens, Dublin, Finland, etc. A lot of epic shows there that I wish I had DSP's of. It just sucks that we got the Australia/NZ 2007 DSP's in like 2010 but never got those ones. It's possible the band just forgot and we could have got them. I know they were all recorded and probably even mixed by Pooch and Dylan.
  21. I don't know much about anyone in the band in that sense except for Chester. I know Chester has said before that he doesn't necessarily believe in God in the traditional Christian sense, but he believes that God is like a spiritual energy, I think he described it as an inviting light. He has said it in several interviews before. As far as his political views, I know that he literally hated Trump, tweeting about him several times and how ''He is a greater threat the U.S. than terrorism'' is. I would say he was likely a democrat or leaning towards having mostly liberal views, but I could be wrong. Just seems that way based off of what he has said in interviews and Twitter and stuff like that. Hope this helped you. EDIT: Source for his religious beliefs. ''I don't imagine God being this little old hairy man that has a long white robe and sits with his chemistry set and makes stuff happen. I imagine God being this wonderful thing that is so bright, but it's not like looking at the sun, it's like an inviting light''. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Sy72Zs4LF0I/T0aC3uhz8dI/AAAAAAAACuQ/OoZwWwQBQlA/s1600/ChesterBenningtonKerrangFeb2012.jpg
  22. Yeah, but the whole tour? We only got Milton Keynes and they played a shit ton of shows on that tour. It's also strange because Wantagh allowed the DSP to be released in 2008 but not 2007 or 2012. And a lot of the places they played on this Europe tour, they released DSP's of playing in the same places years after. It's truly a shame because it was probably the best tour of the entire MTM cycle. Just look at the setlist and the energy. Plus a lot of cool places.
  23. What was the reason that the Europe Summer 2008 shows weren't released as DSP's? All of the European shows in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 were released. Even a lot of the same cities that were on the 2008 tour. What's the chance that we will ever see those DSP's? That one was one of LP's best tours.
  24. Ahh yeah, that must be what I remember it from. But yeah, it is pretty cool. I think ATS flowed really nicely as well. But it was cool how MTM had that, where each song was different drastically, it makes it epic.
  25. LOATR is a dark song. Mike said in 2015 that ''it's literally about dying''. I take it as wanting people to remember you for the good things you did in life and not the bad. It's really not complex lyrically to decipher. But I also think it's about accepting fate in a way, like you said, Justin. The ''pretending someone else can come and save me from myself'' line pretty much says that to me. I also remember Mike saying in recent years that they intentionally made Minutes To Midnight drastically different with each song as you listen to the album, because they wanted to shock people with all the new styles, etc. Given Up into Leave Out All The Rest is definitely a drastic change in sound. Same as all the songs, really. God damn I could talk about MTM (my favorite album) for hours.
