  1. Ok? But I made a thread about it...so other people would know...

    My Suffering!

The drumming is the best part of this song. I was just driving around blaring it, I had my bass all the way up, plus I have bose speakers in my car and people were freaking out.

    My Suffering!

I actually have to agree with you for once. This version is good but the 08 version just blows it away. It's cool to have 3 songs from the upcoming album but I feel like I've listened to these 3 songs like 1000000 times already because I've been listening to the live rips for months. I think Chester should have chosen a different producer than Howard Benson too. At first, I cut the guy some slack on CBI and Fire, but now, I'm not so sure that I like the direction that he took the vocals. The music is fine with what I've heard so far, but the vocals aren't so great. I guess I like the more raw style vocals that LP used on MTM. Then again, Mike Shinoda and Rick Rubin are much better producers than Howard Benson so... I think Chester should have just produced this album himself. Obviously, his vocal style works better with a more raw sound than the over-produced. The only time that someone's vocals sounds better over-produced is when the person can't sing, IMO. For example, take the acoustic version of Let Down from 2005. Listen to how amazing he sounds compared to how he sounds in the clip we've heard of the studio version from one of the DBSTV's.

    My Suffering!

It's awesome!!! This is a really nice and awesome fucking surprise. Totally NOT expecting this at all.

    Surprise

I bet it will be the tour dates for the DBS tour or something.

    Surprise

That sucks then. If it has something to do with JK then it shouldn't be main news here....

    Surprise

Amir posted this on his twitter so I'm assuming it's something for DBS. I can't wait to see what it is...maybe the Let Down video?

    DBS Update

That's fucking awesome!!! Full DBS show for Ulalume! I also think they'll play Europe first, Chester even said that in the Sonisphere video. I'm expecting a late November/December tour for the states. Remember guys, this won't be an LP tour, it's not going to be some huge epic tour with tons of dates, some dates even in multiple states. Expect something like FM did in 06. I was lucky enough to go to the Boston date but it was awesome, a nice, small intimate venue so I'm expecting this with DBS too.
  9. We already knew that Give Me Your Name was recorded and played for Chester's wedding...but it's still a cool post. Thanks for sharing.
  10. This is the second facebook video from Mike, right? Pretty cool, although I don't think I'll ever use @linkinpark.
  11. Well, the original version that you're referring to was an acoustic live performance for REAct Now, the clip in this video is just him deciding to randomly play the song, this could have been recorded anytime between 2005 to recently. The version appearing on the album will be the same as the REAct now version, just not acoustic and the lyrics are very slightly changed.

    DBS Update

I'm pretty sure we'll get a modified set at Ulalume, but I'm sure it will be about 7 songs that get the crowd going. I think they'll save the more softer and melodic songs for their headlining tour.
  13. Does anybody wanna be really awesome and nice and rip the audio to the Let Down demo???

    DBS Update

MCR did this in 2007 and probably beyond that, they played the full Black Parade album and then some old songs. It's pretty awesome that DBS will be doing this IMO. A 12 song set, the whole album, plus maybe Morning After. Crazy awesome.
  15. I'm almost positive that Let Down will be a single. Usually bands don't make a music video for songs that aren't going to be a single, plus it was confirmed before that it would be the leading single in Europe but I don't think that happened for some reason. I didn't know that Let Down was the original song that sparked interest for DBS, that's pretty awesome.
  16. Fucking awesome! I can't wait for the mp3 of the full studio version... http://download.wbr.com/linkinpark/LPTV_DB..._DOWN_small.flv
  17. No it's not. The Epicenter rip is better. But at least we get a HQ version on the CBI single that comes out on the 25th.

    New Divide Live

The versions that I have are from the Transformers 2 premiere, Sonisphere, Summer Sonic and Mark's rip from Graz. Honestly, I think Graz is the best performance of those 4 to be honest. I can't wait for the DSP.

    DBS Update

LOL that was a fun video to watch before I start class. Anyways, can't wait for the DBS tour!!!
  20. I didn't get chosen....be sure to tell us about it when you get back!
  21. Yeah, that would be awesome.
  22. Berlin 2007 is the best show that LP has played on the MTM tour by far.
  23. Anybody feel like ripping separate songs in mp3?
  24. That quote is from a while ago, he could have easily changed his mind by now. Plus Adam just said it was Mike.
  25. A lot of the songs on MTM deal with these things, and we all know that the DBS album deals with what Chester went through with his divorce, addiction and what happened with LP. EDIT: I'm bored, so I'll elaborate. Keep in mind these are all my opinions on what the songs are about, so don't jump down my throat if you don't agree with me. Also remember that Mike and Chester wrote all the lyrics to MTM so all the songs are about their problems or universal problems. Obviously the DBS songs are straight from Chester's heart. Given Up: Pretty much a song about when everything is going wrong and you're making self destructive decisions, Chester said this somewhere but I don't remember where. Chester could have very well felt this way going through his divorce at first as well as LP when they went through the label problems. Leave Out All The Rest: This song is obvious. Pretty much saying you want to remembered for the good things when you die and not the bad things. Also about admitting your problems. Bleed It Out: Mike wrote the lyrics for this song over 100 songs so the lyrics are pretty much a whole joke and just winging it while keeping ''fuck it'' in mind. The lyrics are so crazy that they suit the style of the song. The most obvious lines are ''And here we go for the 100th time, hand grenade pins in every line (not caring) and ''I bleed it out'' (about having to keep re-writing it''). Shadow Of The Day: About death or someone close to you leaving or moving away. What I've Done: Direct quote from Blender magazine 2007. ''The new album's first single, 'What I've Done', is a personal reckoning of sorts, drawing both on Bennington's relationship turmoil and his history of drug abuse. ''I've made some really bad decisions in my life'', Bennington says. ''And I got to a point where I realized I'm kind of a jerk. So this song is about saying, 'You know what? It's me.'' Hands Held High: Obviously the song is about what the US was going through at the time, as well as now pretty much. Not going to get into it to much. No More Sorrow: Basically a song attacking establishment . Quote from Blender magazine 2007. ''No More Sorrow slams the 'thieves and hypocrites' profiting from the Iraq war''. Valentine's Day: A song about death and being alone without the person. The song is pretty much about the pain you go through losing a loved one. Chester also told Kerrang! magazine in 2007 that this is the darkest song lyrically on the album. In Between: It's known that Mike wrote the lyrics and Chester said it came from the most sincere heartfelt place. I actually don't know what the song is about but whatever the situation is, it meant a lot to Mike. In Pieces: Chester has stated numerous times that this song is about what we went through with his divorce, and the lyrics are pretty much blatantly obvious about what the song is about as it is. Ending a big relationship and realizing what is happening and becoming the bigger person. The Little Things Give You Away: We all know what the song is about, Hurricane Katrina. Direct quote from Blender magazine 2007. ''The Little Things Give You Away'' is a stinging indictment of the government's botching of Hurricane Katrina.'' Fire: The song is about knowing that even though this important person in your life has passed on, they will always be there with you. Unlike Valentine's Day it's about accepting that this is the way it's going to be and not to beat yourself up over the death, but rather understand that it wasn't your fault and the person will be there with you in your heart and mind forever. Could also be about his ex-band member, I believe, that died on a brain tumor and he couldn't make it play the benefit show before he died because of Warner? Crawl Back In: Direct quote from Chester. “It’s a song about feeling as if I don’t have my own identity and, at the same time, feeling like you wish you were never born,” he says. “That song came out of the despair you feel being addicted to something.” My Suffering: Pretty obvious what the song is about but here's a quote from DBS's official biography. Bennington delves deeper into his addiction in “My Suffering,” in which he sings, “I’ve seen the devil in a smile/I’ve found salvation in a vile/My happy ending exists only in my dreams.”
