Why does Fu's mixes always sound like 100 times better than the SBD rips?

Well, Mike and Chester have said they like to write about real life emotions and Chester has said that you want to write lyrics that matter to people, that's partially why. The other reason could be that Chester had a really bad past and he expresses a lot of those things in the music. Hybrid Theory and Meteora obviously have a lot of that, the DBS lyrics are dark because of what he went through during 2005-2006, but I think MTM has some optimistic lyrics, at least the most of any LP album.(LOATR, WID, HHH, IP)

It would be amazing if iTunes uploaded all the LP/DBS/FM singles, I would definitely buy them all.

I got an iPod touch for Christmas too, I can't wait for the LP app now. Still though, I'm going with what Hahninator originally said, I'm not going to get too excited for that 'new song' because it could very well just be like an instrumental or something. I'm like 80% sure it won't have vocals on it which really sucks...

Well IMO, I think it would be pretty stupid if we weren't allowed to post download links to single tracks because a lot of countries can't buy them and they're just usually live tracks or remixes, sometimes b-sides. I don't really see what the big deal is.

I don't expect the record anywhere before June, and I don't really want it anywhere before June to be honest. I'm a huge fan of Out Of Ashes and I'm still enjoying that as well as LPU9 and I'd rather have them take some more time to finalize the songs, write some new songs maybe, and make sure everything is amazing to themselves. I can wait a little while longer for this album, I have never once complained that they were taking too long to write it like everyone else is. They released MTM in 2007 which I still listen to often, toured until late 2008, Chester released his solo album, Mike did Glorious Excess and they also did a Summer tour in 2009. The band does need time to relax and life their life's outside of Linkin Park too, people forget that. That's the only thing that bothers me about LP fans, they're never really appreciative and LP is definitely one of the bands that gives back the most to their fans. Anyways, all the songs sound cool that they have described so far since the making of this album. I hope it's an album that sounds different than HT, Meteora and MTM, I want something way out there because I love when artists do that.

So basically, as a teen, Chester was addicted to drugs, then quit, then started again, then quit again, and then in 2005 started using drugs and drinking? Then he quit finally in 2006 and hasn't since? It's all so confusing.

The one in your sig is from the summer acoustic Vegas show...the version on the single, from Hamburg, is the correct one.

Idk about anyone else, but I'd still love to have Crawl Back In from that show. I wonder how it sounds acoustic, I know there's like a small clip but it sucks.

I bet they'll extend the set to like 21 songs, that way they can do all the singles + three songs from the new album for the promo tour.

I was just saying that as far as 'milestones' go for the band, I thought MTM was more so than Meteora was. Mike didn't mention Reanimation, Collision Course, Grammy's or anything else either so...

In your opinion it's their best album and best years of touring, fine. But not for me. I think MTM is more of a 'milestone' for the band than Meteora was. I love Meteora but it really is just a HT part 2 and I wouldn't really consider it a milestone in the bands career except for the fact that it sold really well for a sophomore album.

I have the full NYC show (I was there), a lot of Ulalume performances and I have Morning After, Condemned, Walking In Circles and 20 Eyes all from Hamburg...but I agree that they have been off recently more so than the older shows. It seems like all the shows after Ulalume weren't as good.
