I think with all the attention that 8BR and Blackbirds is getting means there is a good chance it could be played. Maybe not every night but on occasion. Who knows. I say it has a better chance than No Roads Left or Across The Line do.

I always thought Chester sang 'Here I lay' in the clip for some reason, but if you listen clearly you can hear 'my brain'...

People that say Blackbirds isn't the 6th string song obviously haven't heard the clip from the MTM DVD. You can clearly hear Chester sing 'my brain' in that clip and the chorus to Blackbirds says digging out my brain. So yeah, they may have reworked the song but it still is a demo b-side from MTM. Mike also said in an interview somewhere that Blackbirds will be available on iTunes after the game is out for a bit. I'm sure once you beat the game you get a downloadable mp3, then when you connect your iPod to your computer, it will be on your iPod and you can upload it to your computer library.

I'm so excited for 8BR!!! Blackbirds sounds interesting. How do you know it was written just for the game though? I still think it's the 6th string song.

How do you know if it's good if the song hasn't even come out yet? I really want all of the MTM b-sides eventually, so I'm hoping this is the 6th string song. I don't want a 'new' song until the first single comes out from the new album.

I agree with a lot of people on here, pretty much any performance of APFMH from 2003-2004 are the best ones. You also can't forget the Docklands 2001 performance because it's in HQ and pretty awesome too.

After listening to all of them, I think OSC and NMS are the best ones.

Pretty uninteresting video IMO...it's cool that the 8-Bit tracks will be available for download though.

I don't understand why everyone is surprised that Mike sang on this track instead of rapped, he said several times that he would be singing. The clip that came out a few weeks ago or so was him singing too.
