I remember when I was sitting in class in 2007 and I was browsing through LP ringtones around the time WID was announced and I remember finding the cell phone clip of the chorus and I went to the bathroom at school just to listen to the clip. I was like this is the shit. And I also remember the GU clips, I'm almost positive the first clip was just the chorus and it was edited and then later on there was the intro, first verse, chorus and then one or two lines from the 2nd verse. Those were the good days. :] Anyone remember the 7 second clip of BIO???

It doesn't make sense to say that they finished Blackbirds exclusively for the game. Obviously if Blackbirds had live strings recorded for it then it must have been somewhat finished. I mean the clip in the DVD sounds exactly the same as the end of Blackbirds now. I don't understand at all. Maybe Mike just says it's brand new so more people that aren't hardcore LP fans will buy the game. If he said it was a MTM b-side then a lot of people probably wouldn't be as interested.

It's kind of annoying that Mike says Blackbirds isn't from the MTM demos. Obviously it is, does he think we are fucking stupid?

I just downloaded the album and I actually REALLY like it. A lot of the remixes are fucking amazing!!! Totally worth 9.99!

Does anyone have a download link for this? Anyway, short episode but it was kind of funny. I want an iPad.

1. New Divide - I loved this song since the first time I heard it. I love the way the song flows, I love how it builds up to the huge chorus. I also love it because it mixes LP's old song with their new sound perfectly. Chester sings great on it IMO as well. 2. Across The Line - Amazing song, I don't understand why it wasn't included on MTM. Unlike Blackbirds, I think this song would have flowed well with the rest of the album. The lyrics are awesome and powerful, the vocals are good, everything about it just awesome all around. 3. Blackbirds - I really like this song but it's not as good as Across The Line or No Roads Left when it comes to b-sides. I don't like the intro at all, I agree with what Astat said about how the song should have started with the synth. Other than that, it's a solid track and I love the melody. 4. Lockjaw - Really cool instrumental track, I wish they did more with it though. I think some vocals would have sounded cool over it and it makes a great opener to an LP mix IMO. Not much more to say about it really, the track scream Shinoda all over it which is a good thing. 5. Not Alone - Eh...I'm not so sure about this song. The song is really beautiful and powerful, but it's not something I would listen to often. Occasionally I will play it, but it's probably one of my least played LP songs. The vocals are okay but the song is way too soft for my tastes. The beat isn't that great either IMO...

How do you download Blackbirds, the 8-Bit Tracks and the video once you beat the game? I've had it beat for days but I can't figure out how to do this.

I just beat it. To be honest, I didn't really enjoy it. The game had a lot of bugs and I feel it was hyped up way too much. Blackbirds is cool but the video is kind of lame, just a bunch of random pictures of the band from mikeshinoda.com with Blackbirds playing in the background. Not bad for a 5 dollar game though.

Now that I have Blackbirds in HQ, later than everyone else, I know, but I have changed my mind. I LOVE this song now. Across The Line still is my favorite of the b-sides, but IMO, Blackbirds is better than NRL. ATL>BB>NRL.

I've been listening all morning and I like it a lot. I still think ATL and NRL are better songs, but it's still awesome. I just wish we had a higher quality version...

When it comes to the lyrics, I'm pretty sure they are about Chester's drug problem...in a darker way than a lot of the songs on MTM. Great song though. It's nice to hear Mike rapping. I can see why it didn't make the album though, not that it's a bad song or anything, but it just doesn't seem like it fits with the rest of the album.

Everybody; stop worrying about getting Blackbirds in good quality!!! Obviously we will! After you beat the game, it most likely goes onto your iPod, from there you put it on your computer and there you go. Damn.

I still love NMS. I remember the first time it was played in Berlin and me and my best friend at the time stayed up all night waiting for a live rip...when it finally came out, I remember falling in love with the melody. It kind of pumps me up when I'm playing it loud, maybe it's just the lyrics.
