New tour date from 2000 discovered!

Great news guys, we discovered from the old school days!

08.07.2000 Los Angeles, CA, Whisky A Go Go

First the Bartender collaboration, which lead to the canceled date and now this.

First I saw just this picture:

Just thought the date might be wrong and 1 pic is not much of a proof without any location info.

Tonight Felipe brought another pic to my attention, thanks a lot for this!

Which gave away the final clue to solve this little mistery, the little word Whisky!

We don't know if it was the first time the band played there, but this venue set a milestone for the band "Linkin Park landed a publishing deal after playing their very first show at the Whisky in Los Angeles" - HBO Reverb 2001

I hate the American date system where you never really know what's the month and what's the day. It could have been only in July cause it's pretty unrealistic what we miss a date from the Union Underground Tour plus it wouldn't fit into the schedule location wise.

EDIT: Just saw that pushmeaway.com has over 30 pics of this show, but without any location. Wow seems like they had tons of great old pictures. Sucks that it's gone.

There are probably a ton more 2000 or even older dates we have no clue about. The 2000 page is still a little messed up, tour schedules, especially venue names are different on several other sites. Hard to get straight info, tour dates sometimes seem to change a lot. So feel free to post corrects or info about the year 2000, we would appreciate it.

Yeah, same pictures on Unearthed.com: http://media.unearthed.org/search.php?sST=...mp;sDT=20000708

Maybe a little bit off topic and not new dates, but on that site I found also pictures of 16.08.2000 - Los Angeles, CA, The Roxy: http://media.unearthed.org/search.php?sST=...mp;sDT=20000816

And a video of Points Of Authority for the date 11.11.2000 - Westminster, CA, Best Buy Parking Lot, KROQ Jocks Signing Calendars: http://media.unearthed.org/video/ (right click on "lp20001111.asf" or "lp20001111.rm", and save as)

Different from the source 1.

Is this really news????

Of Course. Here in the Live Guide site, all info about shows is an new!

Yes Jonas, probably there is a lot of other shows around this date that we don't know about 'yet' :D

I always used to see those pics, like this one for exemple: http://media.unearthed.org/getimage.php?img=3699

And now i know where is it from! :D

Just for you info, this is a Live Guide in case you forgot, go somewhere else if you don't like it here.

That has nothing to do with news being short or something. This tour date has never been mentioned in any live guide before, and it being such an old show I think it's more than interesting enough to post this as news.

And stop spamming guys...

Actually, it was a serious question. I love LP like everyone else on here, but some of you guys/girls get so amped over nonsense like this. I understand that news is slow right now, but come on. This is not a big deal.

This is not an ordinary Linkin park fan site with ordinary news that can be found on most of other sites.

If you noticed, we have a word "Live" in the name of the site, which means that the main theme of site is live shows of the band. So most of our news are about them.

I think that it's normal to write news, that have 100% to do with the site's content, especially when we find out about a show that happened so long ago.

I can agree that there are many news on the site, that actually don't belong here, and would better fit on other lp fan sites, but this one is definitely not a nonsense.
