hahninator Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Someone commented on a blog on ocweekly.com saying they had a flyer mailed to their house by KROQ announcing the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas lineup for 2012. Member valiumknight1 posted: "Kroq mailed a flyer to my house today announcing the lineup. Night one is on December 8th with "Linkin Park, Rise Against, Bush, Garbage, Slightly Stoopid, Awolnation, Walk The Moon, The Gaslight Anthem, Two Door Cinema Club, and Youngblood Hawke". Night 2 is on December 9th and the lineup is "The Killers, Jack White, Fun, M83, Passion Pit, Of Monsters and Men, Grouplove, The lumineers, Alex Clare, and Imagine Dragons". So you guys were pretty close on a couple of these. Bush, and Grouplove played last year so I was surprised to see them in this years lineup again." While someone claiming KROQ sent them a flyer in the mail with the lineup can be taken with a grain of salt, it is rumored that Linkin Park will headline one of the nights of KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas this year. The announcement on the bands should be coming soon, so we will see. What do you think? With LIVING THINGS coming out this year, will the band return to AAC? Linkin Park last played the show in 2007 at the Gibson Amphitheatre, providing a pretty special show. EDIT: Linkin Park is confirmed to be headlining night 1 of KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas 2012! Other bands include Rise Against, Bush, Garbage, Slightly Stoopid, AWOLNATION, The Lumineers, Walk The Moon, The Gaslight Anthem, Two Door Cinema Club and YoungBlood Hawke. "The 23rd Annual KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas returns to the Gibson Amphitheatre on December 8th & 9th, 2012, featuring two nights of incredible performances from many of today’s biggest bands! Proceeds from the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas benefit local charities Para Los Niños and the Al Wooten Jr. Heritage Center." More information can be found here. Quote
hahninator Posted November 12, 2012 Author Posted November 12, 2012 confirmed on air Yup! Heard it too Edited the main post. Quote
FearOfTheDuck Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 First performance of Castle of Glass would make a lot of sense for this show, would it not? Also hoping for My December. Quote
hahninator Posted November 12, 2012 Author Posted November 12, 2012 Agreed on My December, about time for it to return. I don't think they'll play Castle of Glass until Australia, if even then. Most of those are festival shows.... Quote
Biggiee2180@aol.com Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Castle of Glass and Powerless should debut here cause festival shows usually draw big crowds and those 2 aren't the high energy classics that shows like that demand. With Christmas looming and mood set I think this show is their best bet to debut new songs. Plenty of time in between shows for rehearsals Quote
Steve Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 It would be nice to hear In the end piano version Powerless piano version Quote

lgr Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 nice. might also watch for the Gaslight Anthem it'd be cool to see My December make a return. the band's been pretty nostalgic with APFMH, With You and whatnot, maybe My December'll come back for a one off. Quote
wesleylpbr Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Will be broadcasted on internet right?yes!and and I hope, at least, a good audio mix this time. Quote
hahninator Posted November 12, 2012 Author Posted November 12, 2012 So much negative feedback being thrown at KROQ about the lineup lol, a lot of it about how so many people left during LP at Weenie Roast last year since Foo surprised the crowd and blew the place apart. Quote

RogueSoul Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 They always manage to do something special at this event. Last time (2007 I believe) they played My December for the first time since Japan of the previous year & HHH with a child choir. I have high expectations. Quote
Pez Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I'm always happy to see them on the almost acoustic Christmas line ups. They have never disappointed when it comes to these shows. I'll be watching this for sure Quote
sublimeric Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I'm stoked to see LP & Slightly Stoopid on the same bill! Quote
lgr Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 AWOLNATION are apparently pretty good too. Quote
hahninator Posted November 13, 2012 Author Posted November 13, 2012 AWOLNATION are apparently pretty good too. Saw them at Voodoo a few weeks ago, wasn't impressed. Quote
FORTsunrise Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Lineup isn't that great aside from LP, Rise Against and Bush. Where are the heavier bands? Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I miss MY DECEMBER a lot, i would like em to play the album version and PHI should bring back his cello Quote
Sucre06 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 I love My December too. I was born in December. And I want to hear this song in December on the KROQ. Quote
Geki Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 LP is always awesome at AAC. Especially in 2007. I hope they do something awesome like they did in 2007, and prior to that with the acoustic songs and stuff. Quote
SOHAIL_Lq Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 "My december" pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Quote
leftshoe18 Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 I'd like to see them do a few acoustic songs. In My Remains full-band acoustic would be awesome. Quote
Qwerty95k Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 I Hope They Add Castle Of Glass and My December into the set Quote
