Now that My Chemical Romance and Rage Against the Machine are back, I was inspired to make a couple of sets for hopefully LP's return next year. This is totally stuff all in my head so it might not make sense and its in a made up world of Matt joining the band and both he and Phoenix help with vocals.

 

This is a set if they did a co-headline with RATM. I think that would be a perfect tour with someone like Grandson opening. Would love to hear your thoughts.

These are full realistic sets that would work and flow well. Have HUGE production for songs like CoG, LOATR, Catalyst, and the Joe Solo, etc. This is with only part of the stuff they can do from their current body of work and just a few new songs from an upcoming album. Once the full album is out and they have worked out all the kinks, they can easily rotate set lists again. Plus, after they establish they can do this without guests, for future tours, they can have guests come out for songs like OSC, APFMH, etc so those songs  stay alive and well and be a special treat. Sorry for the long post, I'm just ready to see my favorite band again. No rush though, they should take as much time as they need.

Great setlists, Casey29! No Roads Left opening would be epic. It won't happen probably, even if LP comes back. They won't be bothered to play this kind of b-side, I think. They'd probably think that a lot of people don't know it and don't want to hear it during a concert. However, I'd definitely like to see this song live one day. 

Very realistic sets and with a lot of exciting stuff. Hope they'll come back next year and we'll see something similar.

It would be great if they released a re-recording or remaster and then release it with a single from the album as a bonus track. They've done similar stuff in the past. They could even bypass that and just re-record it and make it apart of a new album. He can sing it live now and the lyrics are kind of fitting now. No Roads Left but to get Linkin Park fired up again. IDK, just my 2 cents.

If you have followed Mike's tour during 2018/2019 you would know that literally ANYTHING is possible now. Mike will play the most obscure random shit. He would definitely do NRL if he knew how much the fans currently want it. People wanted it hardcore back in like 2007/2008 but back then it was a lot different because Mike just started singing (literally only on In Between and NRL which was a b-side and not even technically on MTM) and also because it was just a different time for the band. However the band did do part of the song during BIO in late 2011. I think it's very possible they would do it if fans asked. Hell, Mike could easily handle the song live now if LP just did the studio version with the electric guitars and everything.

This is a sleepy setlist, right? I remember when Chester said during THP era they wanted to make an album with a lot of energy. They didn't want make an album full of mid-tempo songs, because the shows would be super boring and sleepy and they're known for high energy sets. 

 

I don't think Mike wanna play sleepy and boring shows. He wants to play One Step Closer or Given Up, but they don't know how. You just can't ignore the whole catalog of music and play only 20 songs over and over again. It doesn't make any sense.  

 

I don't wanna write my dream setlist cause we don't know who's going to sing. I hate when people say "they don't have to play heavier songs. LP could play only softer and radio stuff". Fuck this bullshit. Seriously.

For some of the heavier or challenging-to-sing songs like Faint or WFTE, I'd imagine Mike would sing it in any way he feels most comfortable and rely on the crowd to help him out like in ITE on the Post Traumatic Tour. Knowing LP I'm sure there'll be some creative ways of doing the heavier stuff through medleys or jams (I kinda just slammed a bunch of them together, for the encore, I'm sure if they just jammed the riffs and choruses it'd be a big hit, through in a little QWERTY riff for flair, and it'll be a done deal).
