HybridThe0ry97 Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I saw an interesting comment about a Greatest Hits album...and I think that idea is totally plausible. Quote
AParallelogramInTheSand Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I see a new album as possible. If you look at things, they could possibly throw together an album with unused songs that simply need refining. Look at Across the Line, Pretend to Be, and What We Don't Know. They all have a similar sound to them that I don't see on the MTM or ATS albums. There's a possibility that there's an unknown stage in LP's sound that we don't fully know about. So, if they use the foundation of songs from that mini-era, LP will have another album with a different overall kind of sound. Also, Chester said late 2009 that they had so many songs that were almost finished, and they were picking their favorite ones and refining them. All those songs probably came before the "concept record, wait, let's do it a little different than a concept record" set of songs that became ATS. If there are these songs that have a good foundation to start from, and with the fact that they could possibly record/edit on the road (weren't some songs for Meteora recorded/finished on the road?), then they could conceivably put out another record in 2011. I absolutely loved ATS, but I'm ready for a traditional album with about 12 songs that stand on their own. /cent cent Quote
Pioneer0 Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 SHOUT OUT!! Why the f*** do people already start to complain about the release of the next album? Cut the guys some slack, they just released A Thousand Suns which they have been working really hard to do. I don't think they appreciate you being totally greedy and needy. Listen to the album, and just be happy that it has been released! What if Linkin Park broke up, and stopped making music? What if one of the guys were ill and weren't able to perform anymore? What about that? I hate those of you who are being totally unthankful. To the rest of you, thank you for your appreciation Quote
GigaScythe Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Realistically I can't see a new album next year. They're still going to be touring a heck of a lot for ATS and will want to get as much touring out of that record as they can before thinking about another. Mid-2012 earliest is my guess. Quote

spraypaintninkpens Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 LOL. They take 3-4 years to make an album. Everybody knows that. Don't be naive guys. Quote

nike724 Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 It would be a nice surprsie to see a new album in 2011, but I'm not expecting anything til 2013 at least. Quote

feelthless Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 They are able to make a new album and release it till 31th December, 2011, but they won't Quote
Biggiee2180@aol.com Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 To be honest I wouldn't want a full length album right now. Hell, with all of the DSPs I wouldn't even want a live DVD. What I would like is them maybe releasing an EP of some kind. Maybe record a couple songs in between rehearsals, sound checks, while on tour or during the holiday break. I know they just released LPUX, but maybe they can release some of the songs that didn't make the final cut of ATS. Quote

linkindaniel Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 (edited) that'd be pretty sweet but knowing the past of LP's releasing of albums it'd probably come out by 2012/13 Edited November 29, 2010 by linkindaniel Quote
LPUemo360 Posted November 29, 2010 Author Posted November 29, 2010 Muse is as well. 0.0 its the end of the world! lol i can just imagine all of them coming together at some point! Quote
lerkid Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 thats a beast projekt rev line up or a arena show Quote
toness Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 I'd say maybe a live/remix album but not an actually album like MTM or ATS will come out in 2011 would be more likely. Quote
MaggotTheory Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 The only way I see LP putting out new material in 2011 is 1. Through the LPU 2. If they have songs that didn't make it to A Thousand Suns 3. They record on the tour bus. Quote
