Michael Bublè / Mike Shinoda Collaboration

According to French online magazine canoe, in a recent interview Q&A, Michael Bublè confirmed working with Linkin Park vocalist Mike Shinoda on a song. Whether Mike took a producing spot we don't know, but this marks a really interesting collaboration. Check out the translated excerpt below.

An album of covers, heavy metal or hip-hop collaborations?

- "Hip-hop collaborations. I recently made a song with Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park. I can easily imagine that I have written pieces that can be sampled in hip-hop stuff in the future."

I think this has a lot of potential. I know Michael Buble probably isn't all that popular with the LP fanbase, but if you're into classic "crooner" style singers like Frank Sinatra or Bing Crosby, Michael Buble is kind of resurrecting that style. I think he's pretty cool.

This. I loved Michael Buble's early "crooner" stuff before he became a pop star. Mike Shinoda rapping with a crooner? This should be amazing. I can't wait to see how this turns out.

I think it's pretty cool to see the range of stuff Mike is trying to do. Talent is talent outside of rock/hip-hop/pop or whatever, and I think Mike could be the next Rick Rubin.

That's a good idea but it just wouldn't work. Radio hit collabs are generally a man and woman or a man and a man with an accented voice. Two solid rappers just won't sell the amount that it'd cost to make it.

wether you love him or hate him, He is a amazing talent and this collaboration could only really be good news. Now I dont follow buble much but whatever genre of music your into, you can't ignore such talent.

 

Nice to see two artists from different backgrounds, both oozing with talent, creating like they do best.
