tschenneck Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 What do you think about the song? For me its one of their most epic songs they did. Quote
Ashwhisker Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 This blows everything else away. Simply an amazing, epic track. Quote
hawk Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I am going to say it - one of their best tracks ever. Quote
Ashwhisker Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 WAY too repetitive but i lie it. I was worried about the repetition at first, but I think it really flows, and it's not a problem at all. Quote
LPlover Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I don't care if it's repetitive, I really love it ! Quote
DKB1994 Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 (edited) right now its my favorite LP song. Edit: and now that I know I like it im buying the cd single: http://www.amazon.com/Catalyst-Linkin-Park...3365&sr=8-5 Edited August 2, 2010 by BEACHBOI13 Quote
maxstar Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 All previews didn't show even 1% of what track is. Track is awesome. New Linkin Park's style will be so special !!! Ending is epic of epics !!! Quote
Blackened_Deather Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 the song is really great, i like it very much^^ but i hope that the album will have a few tracks with a bit more guitar in it =) Quote
OZZY Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Really love the track! is the single length chopped down to 3.46? Quote
avo17 Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I knew the MoH trailer was crapping on the full song when I heard it. There's no way I could've loved the three snippets before that and hate the edited version. Quote
[High_Voltage] Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 How do you guys think it'll do on the Billbord charts? Quote
OZZY Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Lol i have two versions. a shortened 3min version and the 5min one. Loving the new direction of the music, and the vocals from both chester and mike. i dont really see The Catalyst as a single for charts though. It just wasnt made for that shit lol Quote
WookieBastard Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 (edited) For the first time ever I like the first single off of an LP album. Can't wait for ATS to be released (or leaked... i'm going to buy it anyway.) As for how good it will do in charts, I think it may not be very successful. It's just too different to what people are used to. This album is definitely an inflection point in LP's career and it'll put their fanbase to a test... it was about time they pulled something like this. Really love the track! is the single length chopped down to 3.46? Isn't that 3:46 min version the rip from the MoH trailer? Edited August 3, 2010 by WookieBastard Quote
RiderSSPU Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 I think it is amazing. I think it is one my top 5 favorite tracks from them. I still think Faint, Figure.09, and Breaking The Habit are better. And maybe Don't Stay is better. So its either my 4th or 5th favorite song from them Quote

RiderSSPU Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 you really like Meteora huh? Meteora is my favorite LP album. And my 2nd favorite album of all time. I really do love it. I hope ATS will end up beating it. Quote
leftshoe18 Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 I love the synth solo thing after the second chorus and, of course, the outro. This is a very epic song. I can't wait to hear what the rest of the album will sound like. Quote
rsw2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 The guitar got me by suprise the first time I listened to it. The previews didn't the song justice. Overall, I like the track, but I want to see what the rest of the album is like. Quote
Xero21 Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 It's repetitive, but it's grown on me a lot. I think it'll probably be my least favorite song off the new album, just because the lead singles usually are for me. Also, whoever called this song progressive way back when, was pretty wrong. The song changes a bit at the bridge when it slows down for the "Lift me up" part, but it picks right back up. Overall something like a 7/10. Good song. Quote
MONDREUS240 Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 I've listened to this over 20 times and I am still getting chills when I hear it. Quote
