jez87 Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Hi guys, a music industry website here in Australia has reported the new LP album will be released in September. It also references some advance listening sessions in Sydney which took place earlier this month. Check it out here - http://www.themusicnetwork.com/music-news/...m-in-september/ Not long now! Quote
ChuckCheese Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Last week, co-frontman Mike Shinoda posted a hand-written note Uhh...more like today. Quote
maik_gianino Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Nothing new but is another source that is confirming the September Date... Last week, co-frontman Mike Shinoda posted a hand-written note (above) to the band’s office site, which read: “Hello friend, our new album is almost done. We are very excited for you to hear the music. We are also starting to put up live concert dates on www.linkinpark.com so make sure sure to check this out. I wish I could tell you more, but I don’t want to ruin any surprises.” Error, last week ??? Quote
jez87 Posted July 1, 2010 Author Posted July 1, 2010 whatever, they got the date wrong, how terible. they do mention the sydney listening sessions which is interesting and the more electronic thing... Quote

sotrix Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 A new album before a single promotional concert. Interesting if the September release is true. Quote
LPPanther Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 A new album before a single promotional concert. Interesting if the September release is true.I'm betting on a short US promo run. I dunno why but I just don't see them releasing an album without being on tour...they never do that haha. Quote
gorast Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 (edited) Damn, I was gonna post this. Anyway, the article doesn't really tell us anything we didn't already know, besides confirming the September release date. Oh well. also lol 'nu-metal', that doesn't mean shit anymore Edited July 1, 2010 by SomedudeRemix Quote

Oh well. also lol 'nu-metal', that doesn't mean shit anymore Unfortunately we're gonna have a lot of new bloggers / reviewers who are just coming around who are going to refer to them as that nu-metal group. A LOT of bloggers and "reviewers." Edited July 1, 2010 by cstebila Quote
hahninator Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 I'm betting on a short US promo run. I dunno why but I just don't see them releasing an album without being on tour...they never do that haha. This. I know rehearsals start the first week of September. So I guess rehearse for a week or two. Santiago is October 9. I guess they have time for at least an LA or NYC show (or both) beforehand. If the record comes out the 3rd week of September I can only see them rehearsing for like a week and a half then going to play some shows. Usually they start well before the album release date. I wonder why they aren't this time. Quote
gorast Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Secret club tour? Maybe they're actually rehearsing in July or August and they're just lying to us. Quote
hahninator Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Secret club tour? Maybe they're actually rehearsing in July or August and they're just lying to us. LP didn't tell me that, so LP isn't lying to me, lol. LP rehearsals start in early September. No sooner, no later. Quote
lipa84 Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 And what bout the 2nd August? The Catalyst? Is the single release, or isn't? Quote
Stranger Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 I just look out at Google about the new Linkin Park album.. And this is what I've found.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Thousand_Suns As a lot of people said,Wikipedia can't be trusted 100% but i think this might be true.. Perhaps.. :] Quote
tschenneck Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 wtf, if its on Wikipedia, we can 100%ly trust that the album name is "A Thousand Suns" Quote
Stranger Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 I know what have revealed on Wikipedia can be trust.. But sometimes, there's a people who edit it by them self.. I mean, not the staff inside the Wikipedia.. But I just think this thing is ture.. So,I'm really excited bout it.. ;D Quote
Ashwhisker Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 wtf, if its on Wikipedia, we can 100%ly trust that the album name is "A Thousand Suns" More like 0% trust. Anyone can put bullshit on Wikipedia. Quote
Pez Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Wow, Knowing i was so close to NEW LP material is quite disappointing. Should of killed the cop guarding it and been a selfish mofo and had the preview all to myself Quote
mariana Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 More like 0% trust. Anyone can put bullshit on Wikipedia. any bullshit posted on there is taken down right afterwards Quote
LPjahova808 Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 any bullshit posted on there is taken down right afterwards I think Numb is bullshit, but I still see it has a wikipage Quote
felipeintheend Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 (edited) 14th September is the release date for the album in Brazil... thanks Bruno from linkinparkbr.com Edited July 5, 2010 by Felipeintheend Quote
crazygolfer Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I'm not saying the guys over at linkinparkbr.com are wrong but, I dont quite understand how LP will have the album out that quickly when theyre still working on it according to Mike's pics from the studio. I do hope you guys are right though, that would be really great. Quote
maik_gianino Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I think the September 24 is pretty good date, my bet is that they will be playing a couple of shows before the release date and a other couple after that and before the international tour starts in Southamerica... Quote
